Photoshop :: CS5.1 Not Working While Using Save / Save As / Save For Web Options?
Oct 22, 2013I am facing problem while using Save / Save As / Save for web options in my Photoshop. On clicking Save / Save As commands, my photoshop gets closed abruptly and I am losing all data. If I choose Save for Web option, the file Save dialog box appears and when I click on the 'Save' button, the application gets closed abruptly.

It was working fine yesterday. My version is bundled in the Technical Communicator suite 3.5 and I faced some problems with Adobe Acrobat, for which my IT team took support from Adobe and got it resolved just two days ago. (Case ID - 184809966)

Dec 12, 2012I have been having problems saving in Photoshop CS6. When I click on the "Save as" button nothing happens, and I can only save as a jpeg if there is only the background layer. If there are any other layers, the save button also does nothing when clicked on. I can exit out and Photoshop will ask if I want to save changes, I can click yes, but that will only save it as a PSD. I have Windows XP service pack 3 on my laptop, running Photoshop CS6 trial right now.

Dec 11, 2012I am using CS6 (cloud) on Mac 10.6.8 and when I try to save anything (psd, animation, etc) for web I receive "The operation could not be completed." I have uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop, clear my presets, shut down/started up and have tried pretty much everything I can think of.The save for web function still works in CS5 but I have been using CS6 for months and it worked fine yesterday and today it's not working.

Sep 25, 2012At work we just put cs6 on a w7 machine running 64 bit which has more than that required mem and or ram to run cs6 - unfortunately I have to use a windows based machine at work (cheapskates). Anyways. I see the 3d menus and the filter menu in PS but they aren't funtional. The filter menu drop down is there but Liquify is the only one that shows up the rest are gray.
The option to choose 3d is also there but they are not functional (grayed out) - I took a look at some online tutorials on using the 3d effect in PS CS6 and Ive gone through it a few times and it still won't work for me. Also, in illustrator when I save for web - when I adjust the pixel dimensions and move the mouse over and click on the image that I am saving for web nothing happens and I'm completely boggled about how to get the image size to change in the save for web pane.
Typically I am used to being able to input the the number into the pixel dimenion field and click on the image and the image resizes (on a mac you can either click on the image or hit return and the image will resize in front of your eyes!). I am unable to get this to work the way I am used to, this happens for me in both ill5 and ill6 on this piece of crap windows machine. Maybe I just need to reinstall? Maybe adobe has changed the way this works? Maybe a sledge hammer into this windows machine would solve all my problems!?
Photoshop :: PS2 - Can't Save Images After Working...
Jul 15, 2009I've cropped/resized/etc and saved the resulting images with no problem. Today I did some simple adjustments to tiff files - perspective & cropping - and when I tried to save the finished file, I received an error message telling me PS couldn't save the image since it was either open or in use by another program. Trust me. Nothing was open. Not even a stray Windows program. I rebooted PC, redid changes, and attempted another save. No luck. I tried different images. I did so several times. Each time, same result. I'm running XP Pro. Haven't used PS is awhile for adjusting images but whenever I simply viewed pix, all was OK.

I cannot understand why this should be! And if I check the Save As Copy box, as we all know, this doesn't work.

Photoshop :: Batch Process (save As) - Not Working?
Jul 17, 2013I have a set of actions i need to run on a couple of hundred jpegs, they simply need a lens correction, auto colour and auto contrast, then need saving as tiffs, all works fine when i record the action, but when i run it on a folder full of jpegs, the tiffs are huge! original jpegs are around 5mb and the tiffs are 30mb, if i apply the save as to a file individually it seems fine (file size around 2mb)
In the save as section i have specified jpeg compression at a quality of 8, but it seems to miss this in the batch process, am i missing something?

Nov 5, 2012I have Photoshop CS5 running on a MacBook OS 10.8 under Parallels/Windows XP. When I try to "Save as", the dialog box does not come up. I have installed the latest update. The other CS5 programs (e.g., Dreamweaver and Fireworks) do not have this problem. Also, when I try to do a "Save for Web and Devices", the dialog box DOES come up, but it is oversized for the window and cannot be resized to make the control buttons accessible.

Dec 2, 2012When I use File/Open everything is greyed out because the Enable field is blank. I can't find any place to set this field permanently to All Readable Documents.

Secondly, when I use Save As, Photoshop wants to save my image in a .eps format unless I save it as JPEG Stereo.

May 13, 2013I am now getting a program error when I try to save some images as jpegs. It seems that only a small percentage of my pics are having this issue, and they are the ones I have taken in the past two days. I can go back into my catalog and run any other pics through PSE and save as a jpeg with no problems. But if I try to do any touch ups on any of the pics from yesterday or the day before, i get the error message. I can even go back into lightroom 4 and export any pics from 3 days ago and have no issues saving them as jpegs. I always get the option to save as a jpeg, it just errors out while trying to save. I'm using a somewhat older laptop w/ vista 64 bit.Â

Sep 24, 2012Environment: CS6 (PS 13.0.1) Mac OS X 10.7.5. Plenty of hardware. (Generally starting with .CR2 RAW.)Recently (maybe since the 13.0.1 update??), I have been having problems with the open and save as dialog boxes.

First. The open file dialog always defaults to Enable: blank (i.e. no file types enabled). Each time I have to go to the bottom of the dropdown list and select "All readable documents" before I can open ANY type of file. I've searched in everyway I can think of looking for some method to have OPEN default to "all readable" but can't find anyway to do this. when whipping around at deadline having to stop each time and make this change is irritating. No other program has this difficulty (including Illustrator and InDesign). PS 5.5 did not exhibit this behavior on the same machine.

Second. When I save as and try to select any file format, say going from psd to tiff, the format dropdown list ALWAYS selects the format ABOVE the one I choose. Example: If I select JPEG, PS tries to save as .iff. If I pull the selection down to JPEG2000 it will then save as standard JPEG. Again just an irritant but, tiff (which I need for several other programs) is last on the list thus there is no way I can go one below it to get tiff format selected. It always comes out as png. Also note that the Format selection indicates the correct format - in the case of tiff the dialog box shows TIFF selected, but the program is appending .png. (Continuing the save as (without altering my selection) always results in the incorrect format no matter what the Format dialog says in the save as operation.) Again, no other program I work with (including several Adobe products) exhibits this behavior.

Photoshop :: CC Blank Save As Dialog Then Crash When Working With Video / Frame Animations?
Aug 20, 2013I recently updated to CC from CS6 and am having issues when working with PSDs containing video layers, or are set up as frame animations: When attempting to Save As, the dialog will be completely blank except for the Save and Cancel buttons.  If I press cancel, then return to Save As, CC then often crashes.

So far I am only having these issues if I have been working with video layers and then frame animations. Frame animations in particular seem to cause instability as I can often work with video layers all day without a problem. Then if I import video frames to layers, or open a PSD containing a frame animation, the Save As may not necessarily work.

Sometimes closing and restarting Photoshop will allow me to save again, but then sometimes a whole system reboot is required. It is only temporary though.

I am not running antivirus software or other apps aside from what starts at boot.
Xara :: Save As Is Not Working
Jun 2, 2013I have a problem, Save As is not working. I usually do my work in Xara, Save, then Save As to whatever format I need.Just recently (last night), I did a Circle (from a template I have), put some text in it. Saved to .Xar format like always.
Then I tried to do a Save As -there was no Choices in the Files drop down -well, actually just two choices:
Xara Design Pro X (*.xar)
All Files (*.*)

Oct 17, 2012I installed CS6 on Monday and started working on Illustrator. I created a file and saved it with no problem. I created a new file today (two days later) and have been working on it all day and now when I try to save it doesn't work. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have never encountred this problem. I also tried to save it a bunch of other ways and nothing works!

Paint Shop Pro :: X4 Auto Save Not Working?
Jan 11, 2012In earlier versions I was given the option of enabling the Auto Save feature, and choosing the time intervals between saves. I chose every 2 minutes. If it crashed or was shut down in a reboot, the images on which I was working were recovered with their layers intact. Nothing was lost. I do not have that option in Version X4.

Xara :: Save Template From Working Document
Mar 22, 2011I have a working document, part of which should become a template for similar docs.
However the part that should become a template is not all that is in the document.
I guess I can turn off the eyeball of all layers or objects not meant to be part of the template but then the template will have all the extra junk in it (turned off).
Is there a better way than saving a copy of the doc, opening it and deleting all that is not meant to be template, then resave as template?
AutoCAD Inventor :: IDW Save Copy As DXF Or DWG Not Working In 2014
Sep 23, 2013I recently installed Inventor 2014. With Inventor 2013, I was able to do a Save Copy As on an IDW file to save it as either a DXF file or AutoCAD DWG file without any issues. In Inventor 2014, doing this produces the following dialog boxes in succession:Â
No DXF or DWG is produced. I tried doing this to a new, blank drawing from one of the default IDW templates and I get the same result. What can I do to fix this?
