I added Keywords to many jpg files when I should have added them to their scanned source files (tifs). Is there an efficient way to copy them from the jpg versions to their tif “originals?” Except for the suffixes, they are identically named. I know the keywords assigned to any one jpg can be dragged to its tif version (or to any any other image file).
But I have about nine thousand of them, each with its own set of keywords, and each with its own tif source file (with no keywords). Is there a way to automate this transfer en mass? Is there a way to tell the jpgs to transfer their keyword metadata to other files with the same names (minus prefix) or to any other files?
I’m using Bridge3 OSX but will use any software that can do this.
I have been working on my third sig, my biggest project yet. I would like to include a video. I have resized the video and put it in a set. I would like the movie clip to play forwards and right after that, backwards for a smooth and continuous repeated play. If it makes a difference, my movie clip contains 52 frames and is played at normal speed.

View 9 Replies View RelatedConsider a photo with the buildings are falling over backwards for the obvious reason. In Photoshop CS2 one could select Crop, click the “Perspective” box, then drag the top corners independent form one another to align them with some vertical lines in the photo. If there is no vertical line near the edge, one could temporarily drag the side of the crop tool to a vertical line before using the top corner to slant the vertical side of the crop tool to follow a vertical line in the photo. Then drag the two vertical sides of the crop tool back so that their bottom corners coincide with the bottom of the photo, double click, and your building has vertical sides. How can I do this in Elements 12?

But the issue is when you select the crop tool and enter a custom constraint and crop
The image size is sometimes a full 2 inches off of what you set as a crop?! I havn't run into this before
[I do know you can use the drop down box and use {size and resolution} but I want to know why it doesnt work under custom and unconstrained]

View 3 Replies View RelatedI use the Selection/Move tool a lot in Illustrator, but this never happened in CS3 or CS4: If I select a mark or a shape to move a specific amount, click on the Selection arrow to specify the distance, using a minus sign if I want the object to move down-screen, when I click on OK, the object moves up-screen. Is this the new, improved, Illustrator? I mean, all right, I can get used to changes in conventions, but isn't this sort of an unlikely change? Aren't there other improvements to be made in the app? Is it me, or is it Illustrator?

View 3 Replies View RelatedCivil 3d 2012 SP2 - When using "Align Space" from the layout Panel of the Express Tools ribbon, I am not able to align the viewport correctly. It seems to be working backwards. I am trying to orient a viewport to something other than a cardinal direction, but for the sake of clarity, I will use an example using cardinal directions. If I am trying to orient the viewport so that North is at the right side of the page, when prompted for the model space alignment I select a line that goes from south to north in model space. When prompted for the paper space alignment, I select a line that goes from left to right. I would expect that north would end up on the right side, but it is on the left side. When experimenting a little, it seems like it is using the model space alignment as the paper space alignment and the paper space alignment for the model space alignment.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to convert my offices blocks to dynamic blocks and this one is giving me a hassle.
Essentially we have a line with an arrow at the end of it to show drainage pathways. I added a multiline attribute so we can add the percentage along the line with a mask. The line, arrow and attribute all need to be able to be aligned perpendicular or tangent to a given line. Everything looks great until the arrow flips sides to work from the other direction and then the text is mirrored backwards.
Mirrtext is set to 0 and I even tried it while in the Beditor to see if there was independent. Multiline or Regular attribute have the same effect as well as if they are locked position or not.
I tried adding a flip, but then the mirrortext settings work just fine and the text won't flip back.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the old days, one could just use the crop tool and, while drawing crop lines, check the perspective box if you found that you needed to change the perspective. With CS6 if you start with the crop tool, and find you want to change the perspective, you have to change tools to the new perspective crop tool. In the process, you have to tell the newly opened dialog box that you don't want to crop, to get to the perspective tool, which now has reset to its defaults. You've lost your cropping and you have to start over.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been using the crop tool without any knowledge of the little boxes you can fill in to restrict its WxH dimensions. I always wanted my crops to come out at a 2:3 ratio and could never get them perfect since I was just eyeballing it.
So then I found the WxH controls and if I put "2 in" for width and "3 in" for height, my image will come out as desired, no scaling of the image, but with the unfortunate side effect that my DPI has been changed, which causes problems for me later on. Now if I put "2 in" x "3 in" and then specify 72dpi in the "resolution" field, it will actually scale my image which is not what I want either. Now if I put "2 px" by "3 px" of course it will massively scale my image, which again is not what I want.
What I want is to re-crop my image to a 2:3 ratio, WITHOUT scaling, AND without modifying DPI. Is this possible with the crop tool? It seems that my WxH numbers are required to have units after them and I don't want any of those units (inches, px, mm, etc). I want unitless cropping, basically cropping by ratio. Does this make any sense?
I have a work-around which involves batch resetting all my DPI's at the end of the session. But that adds another step to my workflow which is not a very elegant solution.
