View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a black and white picture with edges, greys, blacks and even the whites that are too precise, aggressive and defined. I want to make a picture taken today look as if it was 50 years old, I want to wear it down and get it to stand out less because I want to put it next to pictures of people in older b&w pictures.
I have an inkling that if only I could wear down the blacks and greys I could get this down.
i got Inventor recently, and i've been working on a model of a longboard just to teach myself how to use the tools in Inventor. right now i'm trying to color areas for the griptape pattern so i drew the 2D pattern and projected it onto the 3D model of the longboard. but when i tried to split the faces of the model along the projected pattern only a few of the projected lines split the faces. for other faces i kept getting these errors:
Create parting line failed Crane.ipt: Errors occurred during update Split11: Could not build this Split The attempted operation did not produce a meaningful result. Try with different inputs.

Now, it looks OK, but obviously, sometimes the flesh tone isnt quite right. I know I can use the eye dropper, but it looks so obvious. Is there a way of matching tones throughout ? It doesnt matter that much obviously, for what its for, but it would be nice to make em look even better for next year !

View 1 Replies View RelatedWorking with a given picture of a person, and clicking "Mark Face", the square framing box pops up in the upper left had corner of the photograph. When I drag it and resize it around the face, the "who's this?" button does not follow. The name is typed in the "who's this?" button and the green "accept" arrow is clicked. Immediately, the framing box resizes and returns to the upper left hand corner of the photo (not a face area), and is labled with the name of the person, but is clearly not associated with the face.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was wondering how to get a realistic face from a picture which the face is bleached out and all that is there is the eyes, nose etc, no skin color. It is a restoration project.
every time I try to copy a face color from another image, it just looks too phony when put on the origanal picture (bleached out pic).
I'm using 2 different images of 2 different people, and layer masking features from one person on to another. I tried using a Color Balance Adjustment Layer..
1. Should I be adjusting the midtones, shadows or highlights?
2. I added a little bit of red, is there ever a time when you might add add magenta or green to blend skin tone? What about yellow or blue?
3. Any other general tips for doing this?
I have recently upgraded from PSE 10 to 11. In 10 I used to drag People tags onto autodetected faces which would server to add the tag as well label the mark of the face (2 birds with one stone). In 11 when I attempt to drag and drop a People tag onto a marked face, the square and the "Who is this" disapears. The only way I can find to actually mark the face is by actually typing the name for each person. Definitely a more painful way of doing it versus drag and drop. Did Adobe drop this feature or is this a bug I can expect to be fixed in an upcoming update? Or is this problem that is just local to my machine?

I would like to give the impression that they are underwater and we are looking down on them through the water. (Imagine a setting where we are standing beside a stream and looking down into the stream, where we see the faces.) I find several tutorials for creating underwater scenes in which the camera position is underwater, but none in which the camera position is above and looking down into the water.
CS5 on a Mac.
I switched to MAX 2012 recently and it's hard for me to texture my models because of selected faces being highlighted red while using modifier like UVW Xform, UVW Map and Unwrap UVW.
On older MAX release when you selected desired polygons to apply UVW Map for example, faces stoped being red, now it's not and I can't see how my texture is applied on my model because of that.
I have made a cube, and given a basic cube UV map. The material I want is a standard 2D map (say noise). The problem is that each face gets the same pattern of noise. I would have the same result if I had a basic bitmap as the material.
My solution has been to make a Multi-Sub material, and then use a different noise seed for each side of the cube. This works fine, but it makes it time consuming to do something like change the color of the cube (as I would have to edit 5/6 materials).
So, I am asking, is there a way to either make the UV behave as if each face was part of the same "thing" (spread one noise map over the image/stretch the bitmap). Perhaps make an object use multiple materials (or something like that), so that I can have a Multi-Sub for a greyscale noise, and then a basic color that I can change to effect all of the sides at once.
I have edged faces off in my model but as soon as i select something it shows that selections edged faces, how do i turn this off any?
