Often I use a flash to brighten the faces in photos. If I forget or the flash is inadequate, the faces in the photo are dark. Is there a way to brighten these faces? If so, how?

"Add people" feature has never worked in Elements 11. How do I fix this? It recognizes faces in individual photos, but not in groups of photos.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with the Liquify Filter's final results. When using the filter it works fine, and if I use the filter on a solid layer its results given back to the original image are perfect also.
However, using the filter on a layer that has mostly transparency behind it (a layer with sketched line-art on it for example), the result given back to the original image is brightened significantly. The only work-around I have found so far is to merge a solid colour background to the transparent layer, and then the result works fine. However this is not desirable because future use of the image as line-art requires editing to get it back onto its own layer that can be destructive when the work contains toning.
One of the very early versions of Corel Photopaint? allowed me to transform a face from one person to another, in that it created a whole bunch of intermediate pictures and when completed it played that shifting in a motion form, from one face to the other. Is this facility to transform still available in X6?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWorking with a given picture of a person, and clicking "Mark Face", the square framing box pops up in the upper left had corner of the photograph. When I drag it and resize it around the face, the "who's this?" button does not follow. The name is typed in the "who's this?" button and the green "accept" arrow is clicked. Immediately, the framing box resizes and returns to the upper left hand corner of the photo (not a face area), and is labled with the name of the person, but is clearly not associated with the face.

In 10 I used to drag People tags onto autodetected faces which would server to add the tag as well label the mark of the face (2 birds with one stone). In 11 when I attempt to drag and drop a People tag onto a marked face, the square and the "Who is this" disapears. The only way I can find to actually mark the face is by actually typing the name for each person. Definitely a more painful way of doing it versus drag and drop. Did Adobe drop this feature or is this a bug I can expect to be fixed in an upcoming update? Or is this problem that is just local to my machine?
View 5 Replies View Relatedi got Inventor recently, and i've been working on a model of a longboard just to teach myself how to use the tools in Inventor. right now i'm trying to color areas for the griptape pattern so i drew the 2D pattern and projected it onto the 3D model of the longboard. but when i tried to split the faces of the model along the projected pattern only a few of the projected lines split the faces. for other faces i kept getting these errors:
Create parting line failed Crane.ipt: Errors occurred during update Split11: Could not build this Split The attempted operation did not produce a meaningful result. Try with different inputs.
When opening my jpeg photos in Photoshop elements 9, once saved elements seems put the image in a format that my Apple Mac isn't compatible with. So when I then try and upload the images to Facebook or other software in a bulk upload the images are highlighted and I therefore can't select them and upload.

New user to PSE11. Is it recommended that ALL photos be in albums or is the idea that photos in albums are a subset of the photos in folders? With all the sort and search functionality, I don't understand the benefit of albums.I name my image folders using a standard naming convention with the date embedded so it makes them rather easy to manage.

However, when I try to do it, the cursor/icon I am dragging turns into a gray circle with a gray diagonal when it reaches the Media Browser pane in the Organizer and the folder/photo is not imported into the Organizer when I "drop." When I attempt to sync photos in iTunes (to synch with my iPhone), Photoshop Elements appears in the drop down and when I select it, it finds all the "albums" in the catalog. However, when I select an album to sync, iTunes indicates 0 photos are available in the album.
I'm running photoshop elements 11, iTunes 11.0.1.12, Windows 8 Pro.
if I try to sync "all photos and albums" it still reports that there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've tried to make new albums, which iTunes "sees" the names, but there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've also tried to sync with a folder (file system) which works just fine.
I can not paste photos from my photos file. If I start a blank file I can paste anything photos want from the web in as many layers as I want. If I try to paste a photo from my own photos file it becomes the back ground by itself. I don't know how to stop this. Using photoshop elements 11.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have about 11,000 pix in PSE 11 and growing, all of a large family. Using 'Add People" in organizer worked well up till I reached 9,000 pix. I get the msg that all faces have been tagged. I've been scanning about 300 pix from our old albums and always try to add people after each group. I am not even getting the "Is this a person" message. I can go to each batch and manually answer "Who is this? Database size problem??
