Photoshop Elements :: 11 Not Framing Faces Properly?

Working with a given picture of a person, and clicking "Mark Face", the square framing box pops up in the upper left had corner of the photograph. When I drag it and resize it around the face, the "who's this?" button does not follow. The name is typed in the "who's this?" button and the green "accept" arrow is clicked. Immediately, the framing box resizes and returns to the upper left hand corner of the photo (not a face area), and is labled with the name of the person, but is clearly not associated with the face.

i'm having a lot of troubles with a free rig i downloaded at creativecrash [URL]. I'll keep it short as i have quite a lot of things to explain: I animated my shot, and everything was ok. Now i have to shade/light/render my shot using vray, trying to create brand new vray materials; I started from my robot-character. Here comes the problems: - I can't select the polygon geometry(i asked the rigger, and he said the geometry were imported as references at rigging time). There are no geometry layers in reference or template, then there must be somthing else causing me the problem. I can access to the object via hypershade, i can click on the shape node and i can see the geometry selected, but then, when i try to access faces, i can't select them!in no way. This means i can't create selections for materials, and so i can't shade as i liked. I tried to selecte faces using the select by materials feature in the hypershade (as the character has some pre created basic materials)but again, i'm not free to assign materials where i want, and i just can use the pre-existing face selections and work on those, but it's not enough for me. I have done my studs for my wood frame, However, under blocking, when I tick "generate horizontal elements" and select OK, it tells me that there are identical instances in the same place, this will result in double counting in schedules.Â

I am using Elements 7 and sometimes faces are elongated when printed. I have tried to follow instructions in help section re printing options but it didn't work. My operating system is WIN Vista and my printer is HP officeJet 8600 All in One.

Often I use a flash to brighten the faces in photos. If I forget or the flash is inadequate, the faces in the photo are dark. Is there a way to brighten these faces? If so, how?

I have recently upgraded from PSE 10 to 11. In 10 I used to drag People tags onto autodetected faces which would server to add the tag as well label the mark of the face (2 birds with one stone). In 11 when I attempt to drag and drop a People tag onto a marked face, the square and the "Who is this" disapears. The only way I can find to actually mark the face is by actually typing the name for each person. Definitely a more painful way of doing it versus drag and drop. Did Adobe drop this feature or is this a bug I can expect to be fixed in an upcoming update? Or is this problem that is just local to my machine?

i got Inventor recently, and i've been working on a model of a longboard just to teach myself how to use the tools in Inventor. right now i'm trying to color areas for the griptape pattern so i drew the 2D pattern and projected it onto the 3D model of the longboard. but when i tried to split the faces of the model along the projected pattern only a few of the projected lines split the faces. for other faces i kept getting these errors:Â

I cannot get PSE 10 organizer to work properly.......I will open the program and then click on the file drop down menu and the organizer will give me an error message that organizer has stopped working......My OS is Windows 7 on a 64 bit system and I had the computer specifically custom built to operate PSE...

I have PS Elements 10 for Mac. I've been trying to figure out why my text is not rendering properly. I type out a word and although caps lock is OFF, the text shows up in all caps. Also, the spacing between letters is wide. I've been trying to search through options, but can't find anything.

Organizer has stopped working for me. When I try to launch it, the "credits" screen flashes briefly, but then nothing is displayed. If I try an option, like "Get Photos and Videos," then nothing happens, and all the options become grayed out. I just upgraded from PSE 10 to 11, and I created a new catalog. The organizer was working fine last night, but not today.

I have a mac with the latest version of Snow Leopard. Since yesterday, when I upload photos to Organizer, the image thumbnails do not generate at a small thumbnail size. Each image has an hour glass on it but the thumbnails of the images do not generate. Thumbnails of images will only generate when I zoom into 1, 2, or 3 images in the oragnizer catalog window. When I want to zoom out to have more thumbnails appear in my catalog window, an hour glass appears again on each thumbnail. This problem only occurs with the images that I have uploaded or edited with PSE since yesterday.

Photoshop Elements 11 gives the opportunity to share pictures with Facebook. The facebook uploader doesn't work for me. Uploading in high resolution won't work at all. But even in standard resolution, the following problems occur:
1) uploader does not recognise albums in facebook, and
2) worst of all: uploades images won't be visible to friends, unless they dive into yout profile. I mean: in the uploader window i choose: visible to friends. When i log on to facebook, the images are there, but they are tagged as privat. Untagging them to 'visible for friends' won't work.

While uploading al settings are correct, in Facebook settings become different.

I made a slide show in Elements 11 that will play from elements beautifully. I have burned it to cd 3 times and still it will not open, on the same computer. Says it will not open because it is the wrong type of file. What am I doing wrong? when I open it in Elements, it is exactly what I wanted. I need a cd to play at a graduation party, but it just WON'T work..

I'm trying to key frame an overlay video ( or picture) from a distorted position to another different distorted position. I tried Picture in Picture but that effect only changes position not distortion (well it can be distorted with rotating x,y or z but it does not give the desired effect). So how can achieve that effect
My second problem is that while the video (or picture) moves from one point to another point at certain positions I want that video become invisible. Again I tried Picture in Picture. Why picture in picture gives a black background? First I tried to remove that black background with chroma key but some parts of the video became invisible (because of black background). Since I defined a mask, I can not define another mask to specify invisible positions. When I tried mask frame for that video, the mask frame also moves with the video. I want the mask to stay where it is.
My last question is about texts. I want my text to move from right to left. There are lots of fancy text effects, but I couldn't find that one. There is one close to that one but the letters bends to one side.

Detail Smart Brush use to have the same brightness as Smart Brush as in Bright Eyes, Whiten Teeth, etc. Now when I use Smart Brush, I get the same brightness as always, but when I try to use the Detail Brush, it is darker than Smart Brush. It used to be that I could go over an area as many times as I wanted without an accumulation of brightness with the Detail Brush. Now if I go over an area I already went over, it lightens it more. Have I done something to cause this? How can I get it back to the way it was before (and the way I can still use Elements 11 which I did not uninstall). I tried Sign Out, uninstall and making a new install but the problem was there again. Is it possible that this was updated by Adobe and intentionally changed?

"Add people" feature has never worked in Elements 11. How do I fix this? It recognizes faces in individual photos, but not in groups of photos.

Just downloaded 2012 educational version - Hate to admit it but out of all the stupid things I have not found yet is the darn Zoom/zoom previous button! From what I see though, this looks like a great version. Enough for me to get on with my training again!
Basically framing in a small cubicle in 2x4's - 6'x6'x6' - Here's what I am grieviously trying to do... (In the drawing, anyway.) The base is to remain 6'x6' - tapering in at a 15 degree angle toward the top of the box or cubicle. The base perimeter 2x4's will need to be "cross cut" in a compound miter as they will be on their edge to form the base box. As well, I need to "rip" the edges of the base 2x4's to a 15 degree as well. Then my "studs" will be cut at the same degree.
I tried this with the 2002 version, but seemed to be going to L.A. Via Omaha. Must be a better way with 2012!

I just discovered the rafter framing extensions for revit. It is very handy but at places where there is a hip/valley the rafters are shown until the hip/valley. at all the other places (where there are ridges)Â they are cut at the place where the roof is cut.
I found another thread where they say to change the visibility settings of the rafter family what I already did before but it does not change anything in my floor plan.

We are using structural steel framing familiies which are sloping in section. Â Where the view range cuts, the framing does not and the entire member is visible including above the cut plane.

The members are set to cut in plan in "Visiilbity Settings." Â The view is set to "Fine."
