Mar 20, 2014I've seen plenty of tutorials on how to blur out faces that stay within the frame, and these tutorials only showed demonstrations on short clips of one scene. What i am trying to do is blur out faces of people that appear on the video and then leave the frame, and there are other people that show up later in the video that i want to blur out as well. Would the blur remain on the video when the person leaves, and is there a way to have blurs for multiple faces that come up throughout the video?

Feb 13, 2011I recently purchased Video Studio Pro X3 - and after going through the knowledge base and product read me, I have been unable to find an answer to the following problem I have:
PROBLEM:
I have a number of videos (HD 1080p) that I have recorded. Each video is on average 50 minutes in length - what I want to do it to be able to do is to slice this video into 10 x 5 minute videos (based on topics discussed in the video), (so essentially clip the video into these segments and edit each one) and then when producing the video file - actually create 10 separate video files (all with editing in place) instead of one single large file.
As far as I have been able to work out, I need to go through the whole file, clip relevant sections, edit them, and then save project. I then need to go trim the saved file 10 times, to extract each time the single 5 minute video I want to create. This is a fairly manual and time consuming process, hence my hope that I can create 10 files based on the clips I have made in the larger 50 minute file in one go.
as I have 30 videos to edit, so looking for ways to save time!

Jan 11, 2013i got Inventor recently, and i've been working on a model of a longboard just to teach myself how to use the tools in Inventor. right now i'm trying to color areas for the griptape pattern so i drew the 2D pattern and projected it onto the 3D model of the longboard. but when i tried to split the faces of the model along the projected pattern only a few of the projected lines split the faces. for other faces i kept getting these errors:

Dec 1, 2012I have a dark and light layer from the same RAW image. The dark layer is on top.
I create a luminosity mask (Cmd-Opt-click RGB channel) from the light image.
I apply the selection as a layer mask to the top, dark layer.
The detail is bad, looking, maybe, posterized. The image does have lots of fine detail.
When I blur the layer mask, about 40, the image looks great.
****What does the blurring of the layer mask do, to bring out the detail of the image?**** I use layer masks often, and don't usually have to blur to see detail.
I tried to attach/insert a small crop with the 2 layers and mask for you to see, under 2 mb, but the content is not allowed.

Photoshop :: Take Away Blurring Effect When Reducing Size
Jan 17, 2013I created a 1318x358 PNG (300DPI, Anti-Aliasing - Type Optimized) from Illustrator. Now I reduced the image in Photoshop from 1318 to 800 pixels, and it is creating some edge blurring. Look at the image below.
How can I take away that blurring effect when reducing the size? Even if I save it as PNG-24, with highest quality settings, it still does that effect.

Jan 11, 2012if the blurring of maps works ok on their system? It behaves very strangely on my system. For example Checker works fine, Noise just blurs with the Blur option, the Blur Offset does not do anything, Gradient and Gradient Ramp only blur the edges and create strange patterns, Smoke and Cellular do not respond at all, neither to the Blur nor the Blur Offset. The renderer or the coordinates source do not seem to change that. Am I missing something, could this be a bug in v2012? I do not recall this behaviour from earlier versions. According to communication center I have all updates installed.

I want to know how to undo the operation of blurring some objects (faces .etc) or whole picture made by brushing those objects that should be covered. I mean, i want to hide someones' face or other shapes, and i use for example "Ellipse" tool and create ellipse filled with black color. I use this ellipse to cover prefered shape on picture. After that i save the picture, then close it. When open again i can't undo this operation with "undo" button. And that's my question - which tool can undo such cover/blurring operations on images that are made long ago or aren't work of mine?

Have had some success by rather than going form 0,0,0,0, to 1,1,1,1,, I curve correct to from 0,0,0,0 to 0001 then to 1,0,0,1. I do not think this is a monitor collaboration issue, as have had this problem forever on so many different systems.
Below is a screenshot (i darkened the right half so you could see better).
I tried many different techniques all same result. Brushing with a 0% hard large brushgaussian blurring default black on a layer set to 11% opacity running all the blurs over and over again using eraser set to 0% hard adn large brush feathering a selection spatter filter in rgb mode, then covert to cmykadding noise .

The blur does not look completely right to me because I just used the free select tool and would copy the coin part of the picture out and paste it back on with a different layer and line it up as well as I could. I would really like to make it look a lot better with no blurred part of the coin in the back ground. I would also like to turn the background of the image B&W and leave the coin in color.

Now i want to put them together to a video. the speed of the animation is preset, so i need every frame to show up for 0.05 second..... 20 fps not 15, not 24, not 25 and not 29.97, but exactly 20 fps. i don't know if i am just very stupid, but i can not find the settings for this.

Jul 25, 2011With the installation of SP1 (VSX4), the options to create a blu-ray video file (assuming 1920x1080 only, though the same options exist for 1440x1080) are now:
Blu-ray (1920 x 1080)
Blu-ray H.264 (1920 x 1080P)
Blu-ray H.264 (1920 x 1080)
Now, I want to create a 'standard' Blu-ray disc of family videos. My camera is a Canon Vixia HF20, recording in 1920x1080 in the '60i' mode. The camera creates AVCHD formatted files. I know I don't want the progressive option, however, what is the difference between the other two options (is it MEG4 vs. AVCHD? If so, what should I choose when creating a new disc?). I want my disc to support as many blu-ray players and HDTV's as possible since I will be giving copies to various family members (meaning I don't want a format that supports only the latest releases of blu-ray players).

If I so much as drop 3D file onto the timeline and tag it as 3D (SBS L-R in my case), I get the "... lost 3D attributes..." message when I try to create a 3D file. I tried tagging a 2D file as 3D for S&Gs and got the same result. In case it matters, the files are in .avi format (and even rendering a 2D version of these makes a jumpy video, but I digress...).

The reason I am hoping I can capture video just like I can with a webcam is because the view screen on my camera no longer functions so therefore I can only point in my general direction and center up the shot in post edit.
VideoStudio :: Compressing Above 20k Bit Video?
Feb 19, 2013When I record in 720p @ 30 FPS my raw files are usually around 30-35kbit rate, however whenever I compress the videos they seem to drop to around 18k bitrate which really put my videos below the standard I want. I've tried to add my own compression templates but whatever I do, I can't seem to get any of the compression options above 20.000 bitrate.
I have tested with Sony Vegas and with that I can pretty much choose myself what bitrate I want it to be. Although I know Corel a lot better and its easier for me to do what I want with it.
- How can I compress my files with higher bitrate? I want it around 30.000k.

I can't seem to get 1080p but I can get 720p but in X4 I recall I could do 1080p for MP4 though.

Nov 27, 2010I'm new to video editing and am using video studio Pro X3, everytime I edit some video or want to use a clip. The trimmed video always flashes the first frame at the start and finish of the trimmed clip. Also when I add a subtitle or text in the time line, that first frame flashes by at the beginning and end of of the text. This is very annoying and doesn't look very good in the project. How can I remove this first frame and how do I prevent it in the first place??

Windows movie maker and my old adobe program will not recognize this video I have recorded. Does corel pro x4 is capable of importing and editing this footage? Would love to know before I purchase. I am not looking to convert the video either, I have tried that and it has really hurt the quality.
