I'm trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS5 on my laptop and every time, after installing the product and entering the serial number, the process fails and tells me 'We are unable to start your subscription for Adobe Photoshop CS5 Subscription Edition.'
It then asks me to relaunch the product and do the installation process again. I have tried this numerous times and it keeps saying the same thing.
I was wondering if it is standard behaviour for my PS CS6 subscription to require me to log in to Activate the license EVERY time I use it? I thought that one it was activated, PS only checks the Activation every 30 days. Once I log in the activation works fine, however if for any reason my internet connection was not available, it would seem that I would not be able to use my copy of PS.
I realize that that would happen even if the check was every 30 days, but that would only be a possible issue once a month, not every day!
I have a valid version of PS CS5 extended. My layer styles started to act up (which worked yesterday) so I uninstalled to reinstall it and now it wont work without a subscription?
I have windows 7 and cant afford the subscription AT ALL and I had a valid software that NO LONGER WORKS.
I have a subscription to Photoshop CS5.1 - I had to deactivate it and to download onto another pc.
The deactivation was done. When I tried a download the adobe site informed me that they no longer supported the platform that I was using (Vista). As version CS5.1 was originally purchased on this platform it would not be unreasonable to assume that the reinstallation would be required on the same platform.
The version of PS you get with a Creative Cloud subscription is Photoshop CS6 Extended, correct?
I just installed Photoshop via my new Creatve Cloud subscription. Before doing so, I decided NOT to unistall my aleady installed Creative Suite 6 software - this included Photoshop CS6 STANDARD.I didn't uninstall my CS6 because I wanted to avoid any possible downtime + the Creative Cloud thing is a whole new experience for me, I wasn't sure how it would work.
Why didn't my PS CS6 Standard upgrade into PS CS6 Extended when I updated it with the Creative Cloud installer? There was no option to install Photoshop via the newly redesigned Adobe Application Manager, just "update".
When I open Elements 7 on the left side it starts looking for subscription information but it never stops looking. I have to close the program and restart to get in. Thisd is extremely annoying. Why does it do that? I have a legal registered program. How do I get it to stop this?
I just recently (yesterday) became a member of the creative cloud. Now I am aware that my subscription (full individual subscription) allows me to use Photoshop CS6 Extended.
I previously had Photoshop CS6 Standard installed (my suspicion why it's not working properly) removed it and downloaded Photoshop via Application Manager, but it's still not the Extended version.
Also is there a way to keep the downloads because I'm constantly using photoshop at work (one of my main tools) and having to uninstalling and re downloading (which seems to take forever) is not the best solution.
I've been reading some of the discussions here regarding missing 3D menus and all the advices have been "if you have a beta or trial you need to upgrade" or "get the paid Creative Cloud version". I have the paid version and I still don't see it. I've seen it in the Panel Menus but don't have a clue as to how to make it visible. All the components under the 3D heading are supposed to be visible (all have "eyes" on them).
Is it my hardware then that's a problem? I've tried CS5 trial version and the 3D worked perfectly on this computer. I'm running on XP professional and a Dell machine that's about 4 years old.
All my Subscription Content is currently accessed via the Toolbox in Toolspace. Can this content be put on a Ribbon panel (under the Plug Ins tab for example as in screenshot) for ease of access?

I have received an email from AutoDesk that contained the following "You will no longer need to update ... - it will automatically be delivered as a software download."
your subscription preferences are "automatically" changed? Yes I will now need to update how the software is delivered because the people at AutoDesk have overridden my settings. Software companies must put their stupidest most arrogant people in their customer/marketing departments. In the case of AutoDesk I believe they outsource those departments to Dassault.
Expired Subscription - Inventor Hangs on startup screen.
I have Autodesk Inventor 2013 Design Suite. Everything has been working fine until my subscription ran out. Inventor has been hanging on the startup screen since then (this may just be a coincidence) most of the time it take between 15 minutes to 30 minutes to open. When it does open everything works fine.
I had Photoshop CS6 installed and working on my Mac using Adobe Creative Cloud. However now a dialog appears that says "Help Improve Adobe's Product". Regardless if I approve this dialog or not Adobe Photoshop starts up with every menu option grayed and I can do nothing. I have to force quit the application. At this point it is 100% unusable.
I've googled it and seen others with a similar issue but no solutions found. I have OSX 10.8.3.
Others with similar issues. URL....No real solution other than don't use Mac Keeper (which I do not) URL....
Product: CS4 64 bit: Adobe Output Module-Adobe updater downloads 2 updates 75.9mb (Camera Raw 5.3). After download and permission to continue under user account control, I receive popup menu advising me that Installation Incomplete, close Adobe Bridge - 3 choices, which always fail. My Adobe CS4 and Bridge are not open. I tried this several times with the same result.I downloaded the zip file, saved, unzip, and still get the same notice - close Bridge.
I purchased a CC membership several weeks ago and immediately loaded LR on my master machine and becajuse of a heavy pre-trip workload postponed installing Photoshop CC until i got back. I am trying to download it now and keep getting an error that says that Safari can't open the specified address because OS-X does not recognize Internet addresses beginning with "aam:". This machine is running OS-x 10.7.5. At the time I purchased the CC membership, I downloaded both LR & PS on my laptop (OS-X 10.9) without difficulty.
Trying to install CS6 upgrade in Win 7 64bit system. Seemingly installs to point of Setup. It accepts serial # and then gets to installing MSFT Visual C++. The estimated time steadily increases to >5hrs! but makes no progress. I uninstalled CS6 and tried reinstalling but had same problem I assume this is a bug? My browser is IE9 and DSL.
CS4 just won't install. I get the fatal exception blue screen once it begins installing the Adobe Media Player. The error, once Windows (Vista 32-bit), reboots says the following:

I have CS2 and CS3 still installed. I installed it as Administrator, per the instructions, but it didn't seem to matter. I do everything as the Admin anyways. I looked for those 3 files mentioned in the error, but they are nowhere to be found and I have system files visible. I've not called tech support yet, hoping to avoid that. If this looks familiar to anyone, I'm listening very intently! :) Here are two links with snaps of the install window and the fatal exception window, which is a bit blurred,
I had one of 3 Transcend 1G cards result in complete failure, loosing about 400 pictures of Costa Rica birds. Neither the camera nor computer would recognize card after the shoot. Disk Doctors disassembled the card and hooked it up to test modules and ran multiple 5-6 hour tests to try to reconstruct data. Nothing worked as they said all the files were corrupted. This is the one disk that I shot until full with a Nikon D40X camera. Card was formated before use. I reviewed pictures as I shot and all seemed right.
They theorize that perhaps the card and camera did not communicate, but I shot at most only a couple of RAW format pictures over the capacity, so to me that does not seem logical it would corrupt everything. But not an expert either.
The technician said not to fill up the card and use smaller cards so you don't have all the shots in the same basket.
I am trying to install the 11.0.1 update, and all I get is a generic error "The Update Failed" with no details and no log entry. I have AV off, plenty of disk space, applications are closed, and all the other basics checked. Whether I download the update directly or use adobe updater, no go.
It looks like the same 2.3mb file that the update program is trying to download. Once the update is started it just keeps trying to download that file until I cancel the update.
Windows 7 OS, On a new laptop I loaded my trusty Creative Suite2, it failed to open, after I ran as administrator and manually entered the folder location C:progra~2adobe, CS2 loaded and runs fine. I now want to install Photoshop CS3 and I get a very early error message indicating Minimum Requirements not met...Windows XP SP1 and greater and Windows Vista, it then dumps me out.
I have been using PS Elements 6 for some time with almost no problems. Now however when I try to Burn a video cd from a slide show, which I have done many times before, it fails after making the wmv file.
I have found a problem with CS4. After reinstal it doesn´t run and a window with AMT subsystem failure open. I tried remove it and reinstal it. Doesnt work and de instalation program show problems.
I have Photoshop CS. I just upgraded my computer from Windows XP to Windows Vista - 64 bit. I reinstalled Photoshop CS and it worked perfectly on the new computer. I then ran the Windows Vista Easy Transfer program to transfer my files and settings from my old XP computer to my new Vista computer. Now when I start Photoshop on my new computer, I get an error message that says -
"The application has failed to start because NkNEFPlugin.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the issue."
I reinstalled Photoshop CS on my new computer, but continue to get the error message. When I click the "OK" button at the error message, Photoshop appears to continue loading and seems to run and operate properly.
I try using the clone stamp but selection fails with this error message:Could not use the clone stamp because the area to clone has not been defined (Alt-click to define source point).
When I press Alt, I see the characteristic selection bullseye. But, afterwards, a right-click of the mouse reveals an open circle and the error message.I note that the key works for menu selections (e.g., Alt-File) and other actions.I have closed PS and re-opened. Reset the clone stamp tool, closed and reopened, etc., to no avail.
When using CS6 64 bit I noticed that when I overlayed text to change color by clicking on the color swatch at top right panel ..I got a program failure notice....It works in 32bit version however.
The same thing happens when overlay in enabled and I go to forground color in tool bar click and try and change color via swatches?
I'm currently working on a information page for my school. I spend many many hours creating it.After I saved and closed it today, I started my backup sync software called "Sync n Go" to save the file on my PC as well and not only on my portable flash drive. After I did so I got an idea and decided to open it again but I wasn't able to. Photoshop shows me a error message that says that Photoshop can't execute this psd because a program failure occured. (Image attached but on german)
My question is, if there's any way to restore this file?
