Aug 9, 2002I'm printing out a CD cover using photoshop 6. I thought all my quality setting were set to "max" but the text will not print sharp. There's a shadow around each letter.

AutoCAD LT :: Printing Half Of Text And No Vertical Dimension Text?
Jun 30, 2011My office has two desktop printers, both HP. Our Officejet 7000 wide format prints great. On the HP Officejet 7500, we are often seeing text printing errors. It will not print the text from vertical dimension strings, and cuts off some M-text at an imaginary vertical line in the middle of the text box. PDF's of the same drawing look fine. Is this a printer driver issue? Is there anything I can do within AutoCAD?

Latest issue (need HELP ASAP): When creating text in a separate file and copying the layer to another file... why is the image so small? I created some chrome text and when I copied the layer to my file with the image it was like the size of a pin! Is this why I am losing clarity when printing?

Oct 20, 2008way to add in a line of text superimposed on a photo (or in an added white strip along the lower edge) when printing a picture?
Like, eg., a byline, date, fielname, copyrigt or similar stuff.
I mean, I don't want to include the textline permanently in the picture, only to add it in sometimes when printing for some particular purpose.
I figure having a couple of such lines in a textfile and cut an paste from it when needed.
I'm running PS3, Photoshop and Bridge in Windows XP.

How do I check to see if jpg images have been saved at a resolution of 300 dpi?
What if my original jpg image resolution is less than 300 dpi and I require 300 dpi; Is it possible to resave them to a smaller image size and in doing so increase the dpi?
What if a jpg image says it is ?.jpg @ 25%RGB? and I am supposed to save the files in CMYK; What is this ?Mode? setting and can it be changed through resaving the jpg somehow, or is it changed to CMYK when you open it in Photoshop and choose CMYK in the'Rasterize Generic PDF Format' window?

Photoshop :: Text Looks Fuzzy On Screen And In Printing
Apr 13, 2004I can't get text in Photoshop CS to look right. It usually looks good on screen unless I zoom in. Since I think these are vectors I would think it would always look good no matter what the zoom level. I am trying to print my company name in Times NR 24 point. My printer driver is postscript. Part of my company name is LANTEC so I did a quick test and tried to print that one word in TNR 24 point and it looks terrible. Zooming in on the text also looks terrible (by the way I have it set to sharp and I have also tried smooth). This is driving me crazy. I have also looked at the print driver which is set to print graphics in 600 X 600 dpi.
I did a quick search and only found one document that is close to this problem. It said something about 200 dpi and 72 dpi. What settings are these reffering too?

Oct 20, 2008with Photoshop CS4 installed, printing text to my laser printer results in 'screened' text and lightly screened background. I have the print dialog box set to 'output', but now find the 'screen' button is grayed out as is the 'transfer' button. I need to know how to make the 'screen' button active to eliminate the screen affect I am getting.

Apr 21, 2011I use the graphics section of PSP X3 pro for architectural drawings. Recently when I tried to print a drawing from the *.psp image file all but one of the text objects went missing.
I finally converted the file to *.jpg and was able to print it with all its text. I haven't encountered this problem before and the file is rather small (310KB). Relying on the *.jpg file for printing is not a good option for me since in more complex drawings the *.jpg version is degraded.

Jul 12, 2011I didn't create the drawing and I'm trying to troubleshoot for a co-worker, so I'm not sure of the specifics of the system that did, but here's what's going on:
The drawing appears to be fine, with the lines, hatching and text appearing in the designated colors. When I hit print, the drawing seems okay, but when rendering to print, the text, some hatching, and any text boxes become gray and print out that way. Once printed, the layers do not revert back to the color they were, even though the layer has retained the color. If you open up the text editor, the text selected will return to the color (magenta, in this case), but once you finish editing the text, it turns back to gray.
It's creating problems for printing out, and sadly too much work has been done at this point to start over. Every person who opens this drawing experiences the same thing, so it must be an issue with the particular file. This issue happens when using AutoCAD Map 3D 2008, 2010, and 2012. I thought it might be because it was used by different releases, but they're all saving back to 2004. I thought it might be that the text was created in a higher version and then edited in a lower version, but it's been worked on exclusively by the same person for two months and every time she has this issue.

Jun 13, 2013I have some very strange problems printing from Autocad. Some of the text is missing. The printer used is a HP9500. If I use a PDF driver to print to file, then print from the PDF file, it's ok, the text is showed, but printing directly from autocad has been resulting in this type of issue.
I checked the layers, and they are ok. The fonts are ok. It's not printing some text "near the viewport" borders. It was what I could conclude.
Lightroom :: More Text Options For Printing Module
Nov 2, 2011It's frustrating to be able to do just about everything in LR - but not quite. I'd like more text options for the printing module. For example, when I'm printing a limited edition print, I put the edition number in the bottom left corner, under the image, within the border of the print. The title goes in the middle, slighty larger font, and then possibly a watermark.
I can use the Identity Plate to create a nice looking title, but the Photo Info will only print in the middle with no options for positioning it anywhere else, or no options for other fonts.

Sep 11, 2013why the mtext in the blue viewport prints bold (attached) when the rest of the text in an other viewport or paperscape prints fine? You can see this in the plot preview when zoomed far enough out.
This is plaguing many drawings thoughout the company I work for and no one can figure it out. The only work around I have been able to come up with print everything to PDF first and then to the plotter which is a real pain.

Apr 15, 2013I'm trying to set up a template in illustrator that can be used by co-workers. Rather than having a separate document containing tips on how best to use the template (which of course, no-one will read) I thought it might be better to include info in the template itself. It would be a chore if this advisory info had to be deleted each time however. Any good method for being able to leave text or layers that I might be able to lock and thus couldn't be ignored by people using the doc, but importantly, would not be shown in the final result when placed in InDesign? The ideal result would not include having to specify lots of import options in InDesign for each file as there could be hundreds of these things to place!

I was successful in entering the text, and when I try to print, the print preview shows a template full of text. However, when the page prints, only some of the text is there! Feb 16, 2012I have an issue when using the DWG to PDF plotter built into AutoCAD 2011. It started when I would generate PDFs from AutoCAD and then try printing them to our office printer for a hard copy. I kept getting the "flattening" bar popping up which caused a set of 20 drawings to take 30 mins to print. Where other PDF generators the drawings shoot out of the printer ASAP. And in a busy office likes mine, tying up a printer for that long is kind of frowned upon. But they didn't solve my flattening issue. I tweaked the "Merge Control" as most of the posts mention along with turning off "layers in PDF" as well. My PDFs are still flattening. All my drawings are 2D...no 3D information.
And now I've noticed after changing the "Merge Control" and "Layer Display" in my pc3 file, it is putting black boxes on text that have a background mask...not a wipeout. I know there have been issues in the past with PDFs and wipeouts...but in my case it's the background mask function. I've even tried using a 255,255,255 colour for my background mask colour (instead of my default "background colour") and that didn't work. And the other weird thing is that it's not blacking out all text with background masks. On one drawing it'll be blacked out and in the next, the exact same piece of text will be fine. It's even only blacking out portions of lines of text. Completely random!

Sep 25, 2012issues using True Type Fonts when printing some text through CorelDraw x6. Basically I do screen printing, and I have issues printing TTF's... The text when it prints out chops letters/adds spacing where its not needed, and towards the end of the sheet of vellum - starts to print the first letter of word on the left over again...
I haven't had issues printing off of my HP printer, but that broke so I invested in a BROTHER HL-2230 monochrome laser printer.

Oct 2, 2006i have an image that is 28' wide by 60' high. i have to tile print it, but i have to print it out on film (see thru acetate). it has to be able to print at 1400 dpi. i know how to print at 1400 dpi on adobe photoshop, but i dont know how to tile print on that program. i have the image now in illusrtator, because it lets me tile, but i cant get it to print out for film (1400 dpi). im using a epson 1280 printer.
i really need to be able to tile print this in high resolution on film. anyone know what i can do??
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Text Printing - Some Tabs Just Jump Back To The Edge
Oct 1, 2013Okay so I'm having issues with the text tabbing in X6 ,the tabs are set and double checked before it goes out for printing but when its printed some tabs just jump back to the edge. This also happens when the text box is updated(moved or re-sized). We have been having multiple problems with x6 now for a while , we have done the start with factory settings, which has only resolved previous issues temporarily as after a while the problem would reoccur. X5 never had these problems.
