can X4 make slide shows and burn them to DVD. I have been using windows live movie maker, then burning with windows dvd burner (win 7). I keep getting way too soft photos after burning with windows dvd. Edited pictures look great in movie maker, but degrade once burned with win dvd.
I have PSP X3...we are having a family reunion, and decided to create a DVD slideshow of past and present family members to show on a TV screen. The idea was to use a DVD player to play the slideshow, and hopefully be able to give out DVDs of the slideshow to family members at the reunion.
We have been able to create the slideshows using Project Creator: the slideshow consists of typical jpg files scanned using a typical scanner/printer of old photographs. The slideshow is a default .AVI container, which all 3 DVD players we have tried to use state they support AVI. However, none of the DVD players have been able to play the slideshow, saying "disc error", or "disc is not compatible for playing or recording".
My question is, do we need to use the actual Corel PSP X3 program, in order to make the slideshow work? We are able to connect a laptop to a widescreen TV for showing at the reunion, but this would kill our ability to hand out DVDs of the slideshow to family members, as they would 1) need a PC, and 2) need Corel PSP X3 in order to make the slideshow play.
Surely there should be a way to make the video play for typical DVD player support. We have used a Sony, Panasonic, and a Memorex DVD player, with the 1st two options being fairly new, DVR devices.
Just came upon an error I had not seen before. Though PSP no longer supports Animation Shop, up until PSP X4, the user has been able to export frames back to PSP from Animation Shop. Now, this no longer works! There's still some communication there, because an error message - which, incidentally, makes absolutely no sense at all - is generated in PSP X4:
I installed PSP X4 today on a new PC with Windows 7 and noticed that it has no Animation Shop. Can I install Animation Shop to this machine? Will it work without PSP 9 or does it need certain dlls from PSP 9 ? I really want to be able to use Animation Shop again.
Tried to install PS 7.0 on my spanking new computer with XP Pro, and was asked to furnish proof of a prior version, I couldn't. I went from 3.1 on an old Gateway to 4.0 on a previous Dell and upgraded to 7.0. needless to say 3.1 is toast, and I can't install 4.0 without it. 7.0 won't install without a prior version.
I want to be able to resize portrait images so they fit in a slideshow (same height) with landscape images. I believe the way to do this is to add padding to the portrait images. That's what I understand from this article. It's the plugin that I want to use on my website.
[URL]......
If this is the correct method, how do I add padding?
I guess I'm also having a hard time figuring out how to resize my portrait and landscape images to get them close to the same size, which seems to be another option according to the article.
I know large images first need to be resized for page loading speed. Normally, I resize from 4608x3072 to 1200x800. (Portrait 3072x4608 will resize to 800x1200). But, then do I resize again or crop?
I'm open for the simplest way for me to do this and remember the reasoning and methodology. I'm working on a work-related website, but I also want to build a separate personal website for my photography.
I've just burned a DVD slideshow using some 7mp Photos. The mpg file looks fine at 720X480 but when I burn this to disk the resolution appears really low, maybe around half the original. The video file is only 350M so it's not a compression issue.
I have been using corel video studio pro x4 for about 6 months for uploading videos to youtube. Works just fine. I have now edited and composed a 50 minute video that I have tried to burn onto dvd+r and when the finished product is played it starts out just fine and in time. Minute by minute though the audio starts to lag away from the video being displayed to where at the end of my 50 minute dvd it is off by more than 5 seconds.
When you are burning HD footage (video type H.264, Upper Field First) to a DVD, do I keep the project input and output on UPPER FIELD FIRST? Or am I supposed to change both to FRAME BASED?
This is what I know:
SD is Lower Field First HD is Upper Field First "Still Photos" is Frame based
I had a videographer tell me today that to burn HD to a DVD i'm supposed to use FRAME BASED. And HD to a BLUE RAY disc is UPPER FIELD FIRST. I thought Frame Based was only for Slideshows.
I'm currently using Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 Ultimate NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps) MPEG files 24 bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps Upper Field First (DVD-NTSC), 16:9 Video data rate: 8000 kbps Audio data rate: 128 kbps Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)
I edited some video for my daughter's drama class and burned a disk for her. When my daughter presented for the class on her teacher's computer there was text covering the video that seemingly had nothing to do with the video. I can't reproduce it and I don't even know what kind of system the teacher uses, but is there some trick to burning a disk so that it displays the same on anything and everything?
I tried to burn a movie to my tv screen in VS Pro X4. i used 4:3 aspect ratio but when i took the DVD to view on my tv, i saw 4 black borders around the movie on my tv screen, the borders were on top, bottom and both the right and left side. I tried both 16:9 and 4:3 in VS x4 and both had the same results 4 black borders.
when i burned the same movie in VS 10 plus with 4:3 the movie fits the size of my tv screen.
why is it that VS pro X4 ultimate cant burn the movie to fit the size of my tv screen as it did in VS 10 Plus? what setting am I missing in setting in VS X4
some time ago (and I cannot connect it to some specific action from my side) I'm facing an unpleasant fenomena: when I'm processing a CR2 (Canon RAW) file and exporting the result to the hard disk as JPEG, the resulting JPEG file looks completely burned out ... but only if viewed in the Lightroom. If I view it for example, in a browser, or with the FastStone viewer, or whatever -- it looks perfectly normal.
my photo's are in numbered order in the library but when burned to disc are all random, they have been edited from 3 cards and saved as a smart colllection, how can I get them to burn in order as library shows them !
Completed my film, created video file and burned it successfully. For this film I used copyright free music. Unfortunately, when playing back the burned disk, the sound "skids" and sounds somewhat distorted in places. Less so but still distorted is some of the spoken word in the film (ie the person on the film not voiceover). (Everything is fine when playing back the project in VS.) It's not so bad you can't play or hear it but obviously not satisfactory to my own pride! - letalone the viewer.
I do not use the "normalise audio" function and wonder if this would make a difference? I had presumed until now that the normalise audio function would merely make all audio the same level - on whatever work I had done to make the sound/voice overs different, e.g. lowering sound at the point of voice-over etc. I should say I have used a lot of visual effects in the film - 6 overlay tracks - and wonder if I have exceeded the bounds of sensibility!
if is possible to create the paint drips in the attached design. I really want to learn how to create urban designs, is corel paint shop x3 suitable for that?
I want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?
I have some Tif files and jpeg files that are 600dpi and 400dpi. I scanned these images with my Canon CanoScan LiDE 700F scanner. Can i use my version of PSPP X3 Ultimate to change the dpi value? Is this stuck? I wanted to be able to get the 600 and 400 dpi image files (I have some 300dpi's too) down to the 100-250 range if I needed to. I see there are different export options and compression in PSPPX3Ultimate, but I'm not sure if this will do what I want.
I want to export as Tif and Jpeg again.
Are there any good third party photo and or video editors that I can batch edit this with? It's ok to mention pay programs and I'd prefer good quality freeware if there is such a thing. I am sure that my Corel program can do the trick though. I just don't know how and don't want to rescan multiple dpi's every single time. I only need the archives and then get the smaller dpi when needed.
I was using a trial version of paint shop pro x5 and still had 11 days left of my trial when it suddenly stopped working. When I click on the icon to start paint shop pro it starts up and then freezes every time when it is loading in the spot that says "initializing color swatches".
I haven't changed anything on my computer- it just suddenly stopped working. I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it, I also tried restoring it.
I installed PaintShop Pro Ultimate X3 several months ago. It worked fine initially, but then stopped running and gave me an error message pertaining to a language error. In an effort to fix the problem, I have completely uninstalled the application and removed all of its registry entries. I then reinstalled the program, which appeared to be successful, however, now it simply will not run and gives no error message whatsoever. When you click the desktop icon, it tries to load momentarily, then does nothing more.
I have removed my virus protection and my User Account Control.
During preparing a collage, when I try to save the project, I receive the the message that I don't have enough memory.I am using windows 7 and as far as I know, I don't have memory problems. I am working a lot with VideoStudio x4 without any problems.
I would like to add some Plugins to PSPPX3, I read/understand i should add the Plug-ins path at Preferences>File Location>Plug-ins - But there is no such option or Preferences>Workspace>Plug-ins - Same story
There was also no Plug-ins map or Workspace map in: C:Program FilesCorelCorel PaintShop Photo ProX3PSPClassicLanguagesNL
I installed PSPPX3 today, and i updated it and downloaded patch 1-4. How / where to install plugins?
When I open a jpeg in X4 it always says it is at 72 dpi. Even when I resize it so it is at 220, when I open it again and look under image information it always says 72 dpi. If I open the same image in any other editor, including X3 it reports the correct dpi. This coupled with the extreme compression is making X4 useless to me unfortunately.
I'm not prepared to sit and do the math to try and figure out what it is really at.
I have reset the number under preferences/general program preferences/units and it doesn't respond to that either.
For me, this version is problematic and not worth taking the time to learn. I need to be able to depend on and trust the information I'm getting from my software.
I normally upgrade every other version. I currently use X2 on a Windows XP computer. My primary uses are photo editing. My key interests are:
- processing 16 bit per color files
- use of layers and blends
- stereo photography (combining and aligning stereo pairs)
- use of various tools such as cloning and healing.
- Color management and Printing
Reviewing the product page, I haven't really found anything that shows a list of upgraded or added features. Most of the things mentioned appear to be in X2 already. Looking at the thread calling for future features, it appears that the things missing are still missing. X2 is serving me well, but there has to be some reason to upgrade?
I have a trial version of PSP X6. I'd like to move and use my workspaces from X5. I've tried everything I can think to do: point to the X5 workspaces folders, copying the X5 workspaces to the X6 folder, adding the X5 folders in the File Locations Preferences, etc.
