View 11 RepliesJust purchased and downloaded the upgrade to X6. During install, the license information is presented, but after clicking the "agree" checkbox and slecting "NEXT", nothing happens. No error message, the NEXT button remains bold as if it has not been selected. Repeated download with same results with 2nd download. Turned off real-time virus checking, same result.CorelPainterLite (free with X6 upgrade) fails in the same manner.
Dell XPS-8500 with i7-3770 CPU, 12GB Ram, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
The organizer has suddenly become unstable. When I try and open PSPX3, the organizer shows the spinning blue circle, and that just stays there forever. At the top of the program it says "not responding". I have to force the program closed. I've had PSPX3 for about six months, haven't had any problems before.
Is there something like a main thumbnail catalog file that can be deleted, so that that PXPX3 will rescan the hard drive. It acts like that catalog has become corrupt.
I haven't installed any patches in the last six months, and I can't tell you what version I have, because the program won't open.
Running Windows 7, 64 bit.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 with Vista Home Premium with SP2. I have the new Paintshop Photo Pro X3. I attempted to install from the CD and the initial banner loads with the three installs (Painshop Photo Pro X3, Paintshop Photo Project Creator, and Painter Photo Essentials 4). Clicking on any of the 3 installs the Installation Wizard starts up with a progress bar and the text "Please wait". Then the progress bar disappears and nothing happens. The installation window is now just black with no text or options and only Cancel button shows. There is an inactive "Next" button. The installation process just stops or hangs.
I did install on my other PC loaded with Windows 7 and all the programs installed perfectly. I have attempted more than 10 times on the other machine with the same hanging results.
I had a lot of trouble installing SP1 for Paintshop Pro X6. To resolve the problem, I uninstalled PSP and downloaded a trial verson.
It finally installed, but when I clicked to log-into the registered membership (upper right hand corner), only a dialogue box would appear with "OK" in it. Nothing else.
When I tried to reinstall PaintShop Pro X6, the installation completed properly, but when I tried to run the program, only an "X" appeared in my taskbar.
I have tried removing PSPx6 and re-installing several times. But I have not been able to resolve this. I have been unable to use the program.
So I install windows 7 64bit on a new machine. Install drivers.
First program to install is Paint Shop Prox X3..I install the 5 service packs (that's all there is, right?)And start it.... and it doesn't work.
I see the splash screen (on top of everything *grrr*) and it gets to "Initializing Command Manager" - from browsing the forum i get the idea that its just bad programming and there is nothing to be done?
A friend bought X4 from a retail shop..She says she has installed the SP1 update It hasn't worked...this is what she has said...I don't get that workspace at the bottom mine stops at Dual Monitor
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have tried several times to install PaintShop Pro X4 firstly from the download and now from the CD. Every time I end up with a message saying that I already have a copy of the program installed.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought PSP X3 and am unable to install it. The autorun window opens, but I can rarely make it past the licencing agreement, sometimes to the serial number entry, before everything comes to a complete standstill and I have to restart my computer. I've tried installing it under a different user with no luck.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis will not install. It cannot find PSPPro.msi and neither can I using search. I do have Service pack 2 installed. Everytime I open the program it wants me to update. I am using Windows 8.

Previously ran PSP 9 and PSP X1. All was FINE with thumbnails in Windows Explorer.
Purchased and installed PSP X5
It seem to be doing some hatchet job on pspimage files that I've had stored for several YEARS on this computer. These are files I have NOT opened in X5.
They are showing up as icons for PSP X5 although they were created with earlier versions of the program.
I NEVER authorized any type of conversion. Why would I?
And how do I get the view back without having to install any other program since the view was FINE before installing X5?
I head over to the icon in the top-right corner, "Corel guide". Then I go to the tab "Do more".From here I can download frames, patterns, preset shapes etc. However, I cannot find the downloaded content after installing. I have restarted PSP afterwards, but to no avail. I would try to uninstall and reinstall the packages, but I can't find a way how to do it.
I am using Windows 8 64bit, and the latest update for PSPx5.
I purchased PSP-X4 Ultimate in a box. I was able to install the program itself onto my netbook but neither the Ultimate Pack nor the ProX4-KPT download could install because the popups are so big the buttons to click are inaccessible.
I tried changing the resolution and some other generic workarounds I found in a net search, to no avail.
The program itself was a little difficult to install for the same reason, but there was just barely enough of the buttons accessible to successfully click on them.
OSX reports application not responding. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop CC 3 times without any success.
Screenshot shows how far I can get with opening the application. Spinning beach ball takes over.
System is a Core 2 Duo 6700 with 4GB, XP2 Pro SP3.
Installing PS CS4 upgrade over CS3.
Downloaded file unpacks OK, but when running Setup the Checking System Profile bar gets to about 90% the PS Setup window flashes up for barely a second, then the install hangs, ie no further progress with the Checking System Profile (left if for 20 mins or so).
I've downloaded and run a new CS4 upgrade file from Adobe store. No change.
I've added SP3 (was on SP2), no change.

I have a new box version of PantShop Photo Pro X3. Using the CD to install, I am getting a 1935 error message.
View 8 Replies View RelatedJust came upon an error I had not seen before. Though PSP no longer supports Animation Shop, up until PSP X4, the user has been able to export frames back to PSP from Animation Shop. Now, this no longer works! There's still some communication there, because an error message - which, incidentally, makes absolutely no sense at all - is generated in PSP X4:
View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed PSP X4 today on a new PC with Windows 7 and noticed that it has no Animation Shop. Can I install Animation Shop to this machine? Will it work without PSP 9 or does it need certain dlls from PSP 9 ? I really want to be able to use Animation Shop again.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there a Print Layout in X5 similar to that in Paint Shop Pro?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy program worked just great, then all of a sudden the paint brush and eraser will not do a thing.
View 14 Replies View Relatedif is possible to create the paint drips in the attached design. I really want to learn how to create urban designs, is corel paint shop x3 suitable for that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?
I wanted to use paint.net with Animated Image to convert some gif animations to png animations and in the process reduce the file size of them as well.
I downloaded the files and unpacked into "effects" folder but I can't find anything in paint.net.
Opening a gif animation only results in a flat image.
How can I get this to work?
My Vista system has developed a few bugs which are not cured by Norton 360.Dragging a window causes it to maximize in a few programs PASTE does not work in some programs -- including X4..The CROP tool stopped working in X4 but is OK in X5 High-lighting is erratic in WORD etc.
I can only run a "clean" install from my OEM disk which means reloading all applications. I was wondering if I should give up and install Windows 7.
What has been your experience with Windows 7/ Did you do a "clean" install or just the update.
Ok, either I am totally loosing it, or it just ain't happening.
I cannot get the Nik HDR module to work with my PSP X5
It's installed, it shows up in my Effects menu, but it only imports one of the photos I have opened in my edit tab.
What am I missing??
Using PSPP X3 Ultimate.
I have some Tif files and jpeg files that are 600dpi and 400dpi. I scanned these images with my Canon CanoScan LiDE 700F scanner. Can i use my version of PSPP X3 Ultimate to change the dpi value? Is this stuck? I wanted to be able to get the 600 and 400 dpi image files (I have some 300dpi's too) down to the 100-250 range if I needed to. I see there are different export options and compression in PSPPX3Ultimate, but I'm not sure if this will do what I want.
I want to export as Tif and Jpeg again.
Are there any good third party photo and or video editors that I can batch edit this with? It's ok to mention pay programs and I'd prefer good quality freeware if there is such a thing. I am sure that my Corel program can do the trick though. I just don't know how and don't want to rescan multiple dpi's every single time. I only need the archives and then get the smaller dpi when needed.
I was using a trial version of paint shop pro x5 and still had 11 days left of my trial when it suddenly stopped working. When I click on the icon to start paint shop pro it starts up and then freezes every time when it is loading in the spot that says "initializing color swatches".
I haven't changed anything on my computer- it just suddenly stopped working. I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it, I also tried restoring it.
I installed PaintShop Pro Ultimate X3 several months ago. It worked fine initially, but then stopped running and gave me an error message pertaining to a language error. In an effort to fix the problem, I have completely uninstalled the application and removed all of its registry entries. I then reinstalled the program, which appeared to be successful, however, now it simply will not run and gives no error message whatsoever. When you click the desktop icon, it tries to load momentarily, then does nothing more.
I have removed my virus protection and my User Account Control.
What is the best method to upgrade from X3 to X5...should I remove X3 first for example?
