I just want to be able to add text to a photo. I follow the steps, choosing 12pt, but when I try to type on the photo, I can tell something is trying to show up on the photo, but it is so tiny, it is not visible.
View 4 RepliesWhen I was using PSP X I was able to add text to a template document simply by pressing the 'A' text tool, positioning the cursor, left clicking to open the text entry box and then typing (usually just the date), this I can't do in PSP X3 as the ' highlighted input box' hovers over a saved documents' previous input - (usually a month) and won't open or move without dragging the month with it. The cursor offers spurious flashes before leaving me with a flashing horizontal bar unable to proceed. The problem still occurs regardless of which previously saved and archived document I try to make adjustments to.
I had this problem too 12 months ago with a trial version which I had expected was a download fault but I think not. The routine still works fine on PSP X
I am using PSP version 6.10.48 - 64 bit on Windows 7.
I saw a video and read some instructions about adding and modifying text and I just keep getting confused. For the most part, I am trying to add some text to a photo and I get messed up.
I've been doing some group photos for my work and would like to overlay our logo and text, but be able to use it again for other shots and change the text when needed. Something like class photos where all I would change would be the text.
Can I create a transparent PSP image that can then be overlaid any future photos?
I have two photos, shooted probably the same day, by the same photograph in the same place !But the pose is a bit different.
first one is in high resolution and in black & white nuance. second one is a small resolution and in full colors. I wish re-color the black&white photo using exactly the same nuance from the colored one.
can i "copy" all the colors from the color-one to the b&w one ?

I've set up a couple toolbars with extensive customized buttons that make workflow easier.. though I cannot find a way to add SPACERS in between clusters of similar tool buttons. BTW do you have multiple custom toolbars defined for various tasks?
View 12 Replies View RelatedAt first install', the palette bar contains 2 items. If I want add one (History), it is impossible to be embed in this bar. If a palette is Anchor, it is automatically "un anchored" when I move it.

Can I modify the current layer without having a new layer added?

I have approximately 70 jpg images I'd like to add borders to. All of the images will have the same color and thickness.
Is it possible to create some sort of batch process that automatically adds borders to all 70 images? Right now, I've been adding borders one-by-one to the images. It got tedious after the first dozen.
If there is a way to automate the procedure? If so, what must I do? If it's possible, will all 70 images be re-saved automatically, as well?
What is the easiest way to add a border around the ellipse of an image like this?
Ideally the border would be better 'outside'. Once I have a method, I could of course make the border a bit fancier by adding another thinner one outside it.
I use PSP8, but reckon I could adapt methods suggested for later versions.
I have a layer with a vector circle. I only want to use a segment of the circle. Placing the cursor on the circle does not give the +ADD. How can I put some nodes on the circle so that I can delete the rest?

When attempting to add text to a photo, the typed text is not visible on the layer in the "Layers Box" until exiting the Text Tool. Text nexer is visible on the photo Background image. If the edited image is saved, the added typed text is not saved; only the original Background image. How do I reset the Text Tool so it will be functional?

I am attempting to duplicate the tool toolbar that I am use to in PSPv9 in X5. I have been successful except for one group. In PSPv9, the Dropper tool and the Color Replacer tool are in the same group. I have been able to create a new Button Group and place both tools into it. What I can not figure out is how to have the new button group display an icon. All other groups display the icon of the first tool in the group listing.
Is there a way to add a "photo frame" to a picture? Like, is there a library or set of frames that can be used on the edges of pictures in a simple click or two?
I am wanting "pretty" frames for adding photos to printed coffee mugs etc.

Then I need to delete the original (background) one, which would be the template.
However when I delete it, the entire picture gets deleted, i.e. also the photos I pasted on top of it.
How can I avoid that?
Additional information:
Very strangely when adding a new layer, though in the layer screen it shows that I am adding them,
when I paste the first photo onto the background, it then becomes the background image, rather than layer number 2.
Adding layers to a chosen background I find that the pictures I have chosen to add, whilst looking ok in My Pictures are way to small in the layers pallet, If I try to enlarge them to fit they just go out of focus and pixelate?. something tells me they should all be the same file size how can I convert them, and is this the answer?.

When I got my new laptop, I was told that my program was outdated and was recommended that I purchase Corel paintshop Prox4, so I did. I would like to burn my pictures to a CD or DVD for backup and to share with my family, only. My old program had an easy one step button to click on to make a CD/DVD. I find this product to be difficult to use for an average person just wanting to have a little fun with their pictures and doing some minor corrections.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI vaguely remember a process (like the photo merge tool) that let you paint in red what you wanted to get rid of and paint in green what you wanted to keep. It didn't have to "merge" files. I tried it a couple of times with pretty mixed results (back in X3 I think.) Is there a similar tool in X4 or can you use photo merge for this? (I tried opening photo merge with one image, painting it in red and green,clicking process, but nothing happens on the image.) I will resort to the object remover or clone brush if my mind is playing tricks on me about this tool, but I wouldn't mind trying it in this tricky situation.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have used PSP since version 2, so have been at it for awhile. Just upgraded to 6, as I was using version 4.
The problem I have is when I am in the edit area, and have a photo on the screen I use my mouse wheel to enlarge or shrink depending on my needs. The old version the windows box around image would also resize with image. I have attached a few images. I normal could fix this in the settings, but for some reason the window will not follow the image size as I enlarge or shrink? It does when I actually resize image, but I need this to do that when I am just using mouse wheel to make bigger or smaller on my screen.
Upon selecting the Adjust workspace and moving the cursor over the image in the preview area the cursor changes to a dropper and a small box opens which contains 2 columns of data. The column headings are…

Below them are the values of the R,G,B channels at the cursor position. Moving the cursor around the image in the preview area changes these values. Left or right clicking places a target on the image and changes the colour balance of the image. I presume it is selecting a new value for the White Balance. However, the data values remain identical in the Current: and Original: columns.
The dropper and box are only displayed when the Smart Photo Fix option is selected in the Adjust Palette.
So, how does one get the data values for Current: and Original: to display different values? What is the difference between left click and right click? What is the overall function of this feature?

how do you take a photograph and make it into artwork you can use on a t-shirt design? I guess I'm saying so that it looks like a drawing rather than a photo. currently I'm using PSPX2.
