Paint Shop Pro :: Adding New Button Group To Tool Toolbar
Nov 29, 2012Have only recently purchased and installed X5. I am coming from PSPv9 (and doing so reluctantly.)
I am attempting to duplicate the tool toolbar that I am use to in PSPv9 in X5. I have been successful except for one group. In PSPv9, the Dropper tool and the Color Replacer tool are in the same group. I have been able to create a new Button Group and place both tools into it. What I can not figure out is how to have the new button group display an icon. All other groups display the icon of the first tool in the group listing.

Paint Shop Pro :: Group Composite Template
Aug 21, 2012I have been asked to quote on a group composite photo of 115 graduating students for a school in my rural area.
I have search the web for a template that will allow me to choose the number of individual photo for the composite and then allow me to insert each student's photo, the year and perhaps a school crest.
I can only find this software that is compatible with Adobe or Elements and I now use Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2...and it does everything I need for my small business.

Feb 12, 2012I'm adding swatches and can't see a way to create groups/categories for them. I want, for example, to add a group/category called "Sexy reds", so then when i click that, it would only show the swatches I added to that specific group.. I want lots of different groups, too.

Jun 13, 2012I made a red rectangle and then positioned white text over it. I'd like to repeat that a dozen or so times in the image, just changing the text.
I assume I need to 'group' the text and rectangle so that I can move them together (I don't want to have to repeat the tricky positioning every time). And then just edit the text - but so far it's eluded me!
I'm using PSP8 but hopefully the approach is similar in later versions.
Even better, any script I could download that would make this sort of 'boxed label' simpler?

May 21, 2012Is there any way to group, organize or categorize fonts I have installed in PSP so that I can have only my new fonts in one place? I am having to pick through all my fonts in order to test them all out.

May 8, 2012When dealing with a single image in its layer I could use "pick tool" to select image and move it with accuracy using keyboard arrows.
I created a mask from a vector (PSP created by itself a group with two layers => raster + mask). After that I am unable to move the group layer using keyboard arrows. I don't know whether this behavior is common to all type of layer groups, but not be able to use the arrows is annoying! Am I missing something? Is it possible to move layer group using arrows (keyboard)?
Ps.: Another "problem" happens when I select two raster layers and try to resize them drag'n'droping. It is impossible and I need to create a group layer to move them together. Is it the PSP common behavior?

Jul 13, 2011When I was using PSP X I was able to add text to a template document simply by pressing the 'A' text tool, positioning the cursor, left clicking to open the text entry box and then typing (usually just the date), this I can't do in PSP X3 as the ' highlighted input box' hovers over a saved documents' previous input - (usually a month) and won't open or move without dragging the month with it. The cursor offers spurious flashes before leaving me with a flashing horizontal bar unable to proceed. The problem still occurs regardless of which previously saved and archived document I try to make adjustments to.
I had this problem too 12 months ago with a trial version which I had expected was a download fault but I think not. The routine still works fine on PSP X

Paint Shop Pro :: Can Automate Adding Borders To 70 Images
Aug 22, 2012I am using version X4, which I am new to, having bought it just a week ago.
I have approximately 70 jpg images I'd like to add borders to. All of the images will have the same color and thickness.
Is it possible to create some sort of batch process that automatically adds borders to all 70 images? Right now, I've been adding borders one-by-one to the images. It got tedious after the first dozen.
If there is a way to automate the procedure? If so, what must I do? If it's possible, will all 70 images be re-saved automatically, as well?

Feb 9, 2012What is the easiest way to add a border around the ellipse of an image like this?
Ideally the border would be better 'outside'. Once I have a method, I could of course make the border a bit fancier by adding another thinner one outside it.
I use PSP8, but reckon I could adapt methods suggested for later versions.

Nov 23, 2011How to make it blend in so you can't even tell it was Photoshopped into the picture. I use the magnetic lasso but there are always areas where it isn't smooth or part of the background is showing. Especially the hair.
On top of that it will be better or worse quality than the picture I'm adding it to. Or it will be darker or lighter, etc etc.

Aug 7, 2012I use a lot of Group Layer Filters so I can turn things on/off quickly. My problem is I have been creating my Layer Filter Group by right clicking on the Layer Group Filter>going to Selection>then click Add> then go back to my drawing or Layout tab and select all of the layers I need then click enter. One day my AutoCad would not let me do that anymore, and even after I click on enter it gives me an error message saying the command is still active. Now from my Layer Properties Manager I can select any layer and drag/drop it into any filter and it works, but I really need to be able to select things within the model space or paper of each layout tabs.

Oct 28, 2011I installed PSP X4 today on a new PC with Windows 7 and noticed that it has no Animation Shop. Can I install Animation Shop to this machine? Will it work without PSP 9 or does it need certain dlls from PSP 9 ? I really want to be able to use Animation Shop again.
