I'm fumbling around with a Python script. Is it possible to make an input dialog with a "Browse" button so the user can find a folder (to be loaded into a variable in the script)?
View 5 RepliesI recently got a new computer, with Windows Vista. I used my wife's existing CD to install Paint Shop Pro 7 (from 2001 - yikes!). It seems fine, except for a few of the preferences. The BIG problem is that the [Printer] button on the Page Setup dialog no longer appears! Here's the verbiage from the PaintShopPro7 user guide:
6To surround the image with a color, click the Background button. When the Color dialog box opens, choose the color. The area of the paper from the image edge to the paper margin will be covered with this color.
7Click the Printer button to open the printer.
8Click OK to close the dialog box and save the settings.
Just got Photo Pro x3 Ultimate and that works fine. The Photo Project Creator on the other hand seems to have a problem. I can run it and open a new project but I cannot browse to where my pictures are stored. Pictures are only available if I put them on my desktop. The browser shows me as a user and the hard drive but when I click on them nothing happens. I have tried deleting the files in the digital studio folder and completely reinstalling the program to no avail. It does not matter who I run the program as or if I run it in compatibility mode.

how to disable - Content menu (menu on right mouse click in Explorer) - Browse with Corel PaintShop Pro X3/X4 ? I do not use this "feature".
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 RC but I've been using that for a while. It seems like this problem started after I began running my lightroom catalog from my Drobo, but I'm not sure if that is related as well. When I bring up a Browse for Files or Folders dialog box, for example when chosing where to export or import images, nothing shows up in there except for my user name and folders that are inside there such as documents, pictures, music etc. My drives and folders do not show up at all. If the location I want to import or export to is in the list of previous locations, for example e:pictures then I can still use that location. But if I wanted to pick that location from the browse dialog there is no way to do so. I need to export some photos to a CD, I can't select the drive. I attached an image to make my problem more clear.

I am changing the data from the original file to the file that is localized in the full address. Now I want to use a Browse button and generate the Save As Window to capture the data directly from source file.
Is there a piece of code that open the Save As window that I need and return the full path so I can use it in my original code? I am sending a word document with a picture that shows the window that I want to call

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am using Pro X3 in full editor. When using Presets, if I select a preset such as an arrow from the drop down menu, the drop down menu seems to cover the Apply button. I can place a preset in my image but I cannot find the apply button while working from the Preset sub menu. The object retains the edit frame until I close the image, then I am asked if I want to APPLY before saving.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Corel PaintShop Pro X6 v 16.1.0.48, both 64 and 32 bit versions installed. When I click the check for updates in the help menu, I get 2 blank dialog boxes. I cancel out of the last one by clicking the red X in the upper right hand corner and I get a dialog box that asks me if I want to cancel.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed PSP X5 Ultimate (full install). After it completed it installed an update. All appeared to go fine. I opened the program and went to EDIT. I am familiar with PSP as I have used a number versions up to X2. The first thing I tried to do was crop a photo. The crop tool buttons are not correct. The "Apply", "Crop as new image" and so on under the crop area window are not correct. I see a square of colors. I see the same thing on the main tool bar for the "Copy Special" function and the "Share" button. There could be more that I have not discovered yet. I rebooted and tried again, but get the same thing. Also, the button icons look different each time I load.
View 14 Replies View RelatedShortly after I loaded PSP X5 on my computer, the picture icons on the buttons in the docking workspace changed and I don't know why. These are the icons at the top and bottom of the Docking area where I work with Layers and also have several other items docked.
I am using PSP X5 version 15.2.0.12
Across the top are the icons for " Edit Selection, Show/Hide Layer effects, Link/Unlink, Lock/Unlock, and Layer Styles".

I'm just getting started with PSP. In a book I bought it saves that, after I enable the Auto-preserve function, the dialog box should come up after I click on file, then save.
The Box isn't coming up. Why is this.
Also, what's the best way to save a RAW file before I stare working on it?

There is a process bar which moves very slowly, and a Cancel button.
If i hit Cancel the dialog box goes away and my file loads right away in what ever program I'm using.
My request is: How do i get this stupid box to pop up all the time, when i'm not even wanting to use PSPX3?
Also, can I add text of different fonts and colors in the same image?

It's top "grab-bar" and "shadows-value-field" are outside the edges of my monitor.
I cannot "grab" it with my mouse cursor to relocate it. How can I move it into the visible area of my monitor?
I am not liking the new features of X4 text. First, is there anyway to make the default text use the dialog box with holding down the shift key? Second, I am so use to previewing font styles by simply highlighting my text and then scrolling through the fonts drop down menu with version 10. This seems impossible with X4, MAJOR BUMMER and it really slows me down.

I am attempting to duplicate the tool toolbar that I am use to in PSPv9 in X5. I have been successful except for one group. In PSPv9, the Dropper tool and the Color Replacer tool are in the same group. I have been able to create a new Button Group and place both tools into it. What I can not figure out is how to have the new button group display an icon. All other groups display the icon of the first tool in the group listing.
Whenever I bring up the crop tool I see a dialog box covering part of the image. I never use it. Is there a way to hide or get rid of it?

I made a toolbar button with the macros @, and tried also @ pause.
I need this in order to shorten the procedure for relative coordinate input, but, after pressing the button the last point is entered and i cannot continue entering values like in the manual input at the command like, like: @5,5
Even if i use the "@ pause " sequence it doesn't work.

How do I read input parameters from a script file name? For example, let’s say I want to run a script that requires 3 variables as input, but rather than prompting for the values I wish to read them from the script file name … e.g., the file name might be “Myscript.js (my_variable1, my_variable2, my_variable2)” … where variables are all real numbers. So I assume the script name when run should look something like … Myscript.js (10, 10, 100), but how do I then read these and assign these values to a var statement within the script?

Currently have an iLogic rule in my drawing template that base on user input brings up the Drawing View dialog box (as though you click on base view). I want to know if there is some coding I can do to control or handle what happens if the user clicks the cancel command inside this dialog box. Possibly show a message box. Or even run another rule after the cancel button has been clicked?

I sk because i was playing with some UI stuff and i almost got everything working but it doesnt work as a dialog just palette.
I'm creating a dialog window for an Illustrator script, and would like to include a logo image.
The image file is 'mm_logo.png', and it lies in the same directory as the script itself. Here's the relevant fragment:

Sadly the image fails to appear when I run the script (although the dialog itself and items such as panel lines and buttons do appear).
The documentation suggests I may need to supply the 'current' property of the 'Folder' class.
