View 2 Repliesis there a way to have icons in the menus as with previous versions? the space seems to be there and the icons exist. but the option appears to have gone. it was always in in the customise menu dialogue. but appears to have gone.
i found this really useful because it enabled me to scan the menus quickly.
I am customizing context menus and on the customize menu there is, on the left, Application Frame Menus, then under it says, Show Menus for: the only one that shows is Default Menu. How does this work or change. Can I put a custom menu there. It never changes and how to use it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I first use the mouse to open a menu (Editor mode) it takes a while for redrawing the menu rectangle. Not a great deal because this only happens the first time I open a menu after launching the application. On the other hand, X3 seems to redraw menus just fine and fast.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am sure i saw that somewhere but how do i get the icons to show back instead of the bare text list of the drop down menus? In the old versions, it was easier to find my way around if i had to change version and the list might not have been in the same order, or if i was making a tutorial and someone had a PSP in a different language; i could just display the icon instead of the name for the other person to be able to identify which tool i was talking about. But in later versions, they are gone. How do i get them back?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was thinking my menus and toolbars customizations were storage in:
C:Users...DocumentsCorel PaintShop Pro14.0
I had copied all content of this folder to restore after have formatted my computer. But menus and toolbars weren't restored when I replace all the content of this folder.
So, I lost all my customizations. Where they are storage? What should be the folder to be backed up in order to recovery menus and toolbars customizations in new PSP installs?
I am a beginner with PSP and would like to get some hints on the following two tasks:
- When I have two .JPG files, how can I form a PSPX3 picture with the contents of the two files arranged side-by-side which I can then store as a single .JPG file (this is the kind of picture I want to show at a presentation)
- When I have one .JPG file, how can I construct a PSPX3 picture that consists of the contents of this file (say, in the left half) plus a free space of the same size right adjacent to the loaded picture where I can add some text items?
Maybe even a suitable hint to where I find the steps to perform these tasks in the user manual (and how they are called in PSP terminology) would be a first step to find a solution (you need not copy the user manual!).
Im having problems blending photos together. Here are the steps that Im doing.
1. click on file+new+select image dimensions.
2. select images
3. click on first image hit selections, then select all
4. click edit, paste as new selection
once it paste, the picture is huge, how do I resize it to make it fit on the canvas I selected.
In the picture attachted there is a compostition I made through PhotoScape (I just have come from this software). How to do it in PaintShop X4. My traditional-old steps:
a) First I applied in each photo picture a picture frame (like a shadow).
b) Second I join all photo picture and logos in a big picture.
c) I inserted titles (people name) bellow each photo.
d) To conclude I applied a picture frame to the big picture (in PhotoScape this frame is called “shadow border”).
Just a comment: It seems Corel PaintShop has mostly “cartoon” picture frames. I tried to find out something like “PhotoScape shadow border” without success. Is there something similar available in PaintShop? Is it possible to add new picture frames to the PaintShop library?
Best way I can create writing in the center of this heart in the sand?

Trying to get the words Ocean City in 2 lines and have it look as close as possible to look like it was written in the sand (without me having to drive an hour to the beach and make one myself and photograph it) although it is tempting to do!
can this program make gifs at all and are they produced in high quality. I see a lot of people making gifs mainly from Photoshop, but thats not an option for me, so I was looking for a program that will give me the same results or close, at a cheaper price and easier to use. Can this program be the solution or I need to look elsewhere.
Also some of the things I'm considering is if the program can make split- screen gifs, edit gifs coloring, sharpness, brightness and so on, basically high quality gifs.
Something like this ;[URL]
Is there a way to make the Text entry function like in PSPX2 and X3 where you fill in the box with the text and arrange it before it applies it? I now have X6 Ultimate, just getting use to some of the changes.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to make vector text bear the characteristic of "closed path data"? Perhaps prior to, or after, applying the text in PSP? I am trying to import files from Corel PaintShop Photo Pro into MotionStudio 3D.
I am able to bring in vector objects created, but is there a way to make it so that vector text works also, by making vector text "closed"?
Question 1. How would I make a cartoon drawing/picture or a drawing/picture with color, Into a drawing with lines only, no color. I use the gray scale option and that works great, but it still has the shading of the drawing/picture, and I want lines only. So is there some what of a easy way to do this?
Question 2. Once having a line drawing if some of the lines are a little shaky or kinda looking to pixel ish, Is there a simple way to smooth these lines out?
I want to make screenshots of the menus and tools. What program or technique should I use for screenshots? What should have optimal resolution? How did the highest quality print? ¿File extension? In the press I have demanded the highest quality
Using Windows XP, Photoshop CS5.
My thoughts are that it would be nice to be able to add new menus to menu bar a Customize feature that would allow the user to place add-on pluggins such as printer+ in the File Menu, to create New Menus such as a menu in which sub menus can be created and the user can move effect and other functions into these menus, or create additional shortcuts in these sections, also be-able to delete effect and adjustment related files from within a plug-in customize mode feature, also install in new effect/adjustment/etc dll's from inside the program or disable/enable them. auto detection of multiple copies of dll's, and scan for most up to date, with user prompt to delete older or not ask again. also a text selection mask type text would be a very big benefit
and a selection tool similar to the Free-Form Selection tool from MS-Paint where you click in the next point you want the selection to continue to, then close with a CTRL left click or so... as without a USB Pen or Stylus device it is very difficult to do a perfect selection...
ability to add custom windows into "windows" menu, i.e. alternate Palettes, Alternate Tool Sets, enhanced Layers window that switches to an Animations style display for gif and agif, etc, switches to an animated cursor, or animated icon display with play and frame as layer select, as for icon and alike, allowing different icons to be displayed in the layer list in correct size instead of all layers being same size, and all icon layers being listed by colr bit and size, etc...
ability to extract, modify or implant icons into dlls and executables
create or load ICL(icon libraries), create icon dlls...
Page preview with adjustable margin control, better ability to show true picture size when printed(reguardless of dpi) or to allow scaling, ability to print with the included print support recognition of your printer aswell as other built in print modes not provided by your printer software
GPU & CPU + full multi-threaded/multicore utilization and Combined processing for large size images and layers and possible resort to pagefile usage as additional last resort.
Where I can get copies of the plugin icons used for the individual Adjustments/Effects in the Adjustments and Effects menus ?
I would like to use the icons on my own collected plugin help files as a mnemonic device to keep my help files organized. (e.g. Is this Outline Selection or Object ? BoltBait, pyrochild, or Aziz ?)
I tried using IcoFX to extract the icons from the .dll and .exe files in Paint.Net installed on my computer, but I only found 3 icons: the main Paint.Net icon and 2 other icons that seemed unrelated to the plugins menus.
Just came upon an error I had not seen before. Though PSP no longer supports Animation Shop, up until PSP X4, the user has been able to export frames back to PSP from Animation Shop. Now, this no longer works! There's still some communication there, because an error message - which, incidentally, makes absolutely no sense at all - is generated in PSP X4:

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?
I was wondering how I can make the PENCIL(I accidentally put brush) or something to paint 2 x 2 pixels? This is for some pixel art.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a static picture, and a already-made gif from a friend.I want to put the animated gif INTO the static picture, and make it a new gif.
As in, the original animated gif remains animated and functions all the same, but basically now it is just part of a photo which remains still. For example, my specific idea currently is a photograph of my city I took, but I want to put the animated gif over a billboard that is in the photo.
What I want to do is cut part of a photo out and place it onto another background.
I have been trying to do this by: using the magic wand tool to cut out the background of the image I want to move. Then I save that as a .png file. I then open the image I want to use as a background and (after copying the .png image,) I paste the .png image on top of the background.
At this point, one of two things happens: I either get the first image on there with lots of backgrounds showing through faces, etc; or I get the image pasted onto the background but I get the box with the little grey squares and I cannot see the background through that. I have tried playing with the transparency of the background, but then it still blends through the original images.
I've got all these great digital backgrounds that came with my studio set up and danged if I've been able to use a single one. (I don't have photo shop because its above my head and I really don't have the extra cash for it right now.)
Making certain portions of an image glow. Because I am the most artistically capable of my peers, I was chosen to make a section T-shirt for my school's band's saxophone section. I have the front done, but to do back. The idea is have a slightly obscured saxophone with the key holes and bell glowing. Thing is, how to do it. I tried messing around with the glow effect in version 3.5.4, but that affects the entire images.
