View 2 RepliesI have a picture of a pretty line (DNA if ur science-y) on a black background and I need this to bend halfway through the image so the line makes a curve with an almost 60' angle. You can just grab the corners of the image and move them where ever... nooo... u can't.

All my pictures are in folders by date, not by events...! How can I create virtual folders (like albums in PSP) to group photos from same occasion but from different folders?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using a trial version of Paint Shop Photo 2010, trying to make a simple slide show with music. I downloaded into my laptop from my desktop, 137 pictures already organized and sorted by me and numbered sequentially (using my old faithful, but antiquated PAINT SHOP PHOTO ALBUM ). However!! When I bring this into PSP2010, all the nicely numbered pictures are scrambled! And I can find no way to do a simple file sort by "Name" (i.e. number). I can sort my File Folders by name!! But that does me no good. PSP2010 leaves me with no choice but to hunt each photo from memory (no file nos. are showing now) and drag it into the tray.

I'm trying to compose an image of an open book. I want to place an image I have into the book [URL]
So, I want to know how I could "bend" the image so that it lays on the curved page of the book properly, appearing as if it is part of the page itself.
i'm using my corelphoto paint x3 for a year now and it is working fyn then on one occassion i don't know but while editing an image, i suddenly discovered that my effect tools, paint tools, clone tools wont work or wont make changes on the image i'm editing... i've already checked the menus and settings but still no work..i also tried reinstalling the program but still it's all the same..

I tried copying a dupe for a second layer to see if that worked but nix. i still have x4 and i do it there. but what's with x6? all the other tools work but the paint brush.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a rectangular screen grab (Windows application) that I would like to simply round the corners and add a border. The image is not a photograph, but since I have Paint Shop Pro X3 and like how it works, I thought I would try it . I have spent some time trying to do this with Paint Shop Pro X3 with no luck. None of the pre-defined frames seemed to do what I need. I would also like to create a drop-shadow behind the image. how to do this or a video that I can watch. A list of steps would also be OK.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was just wondering as to whether its possible to keep the checkered base which you get when you remove part of an image or have it transparent to stay in the created image.
I am sure you all know this.
Here is the YouTube background which I have created and wondering if I am able to keep the checkered base or whatever in the image after I have saved it rather than print screening and pasting it back like a jigsaw puzzle.
Here is what I want to do. I have the letters 'XC' which I've played with a bit to look the way I want and due to anti-aliasing has nice edges. Now I want to basically fill those letters with an image. I can't figure out how to do this and keep the nice anti-aliased edges.
Current steps:
1. load image as base layer
2. Create new layer with text in it
3. using magic wand select a threshold that has smoothest edges on text layer
4. select image layer and copy the selection area... notice the hard edges of the finished result in the attached example. I want it nice and smooth and anti-aliased.
How to do this more elegantly? I've attached the basics of what I'm doing and the result.

Morphing space! I would like to do what other advanced programs do by assigning points to an image and then morph/transpose those points to another space with the same number of defined points.
As a very crude geometric example if I have a 5-pointed star and want to transpose those 5 defined points onto an ellipse with 5 similarly defined points, what might be your approach be to execute this function. How to create and application/extension pack, or write the code for such a function? Any method of steps to create this transition process? (See Two Accompanying JPEGS) .
A vastly more complex situation, but one that continually is used it graphic arts applications would be to morph or transpose the spacial dimensions of one image into those of a second image which is assigned the same set.
Any plugin or something that gathers all the colors within a given image and allows you to save the pallete in another image...If you seen a sprite sheet thats pretty much what Im asking for. It'd be cool if the colors were sorted by how dark it was and by RGB.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf I load a large image (say 5400 px sq.) in Paint.net (or similar) & choose a zoom level where I like the look / size of individual elements, in ONE area. Image is still no where near 100%.
I select a rectangle so the ACTUAL size of rectangle_AND the way the selection looks AT THAT ZOOM level, is what I want. Say, to use as Fx header background.
Problem I've had: Because the image I initially cropped wasn't at 100%, when crop it - the PHYSICAL size of the rectangle may be 1920 x 180 px, but the prgm still thinks / knows it's really 3500 x 450 (or such), at 40% zoom. I can't just save the image - as it looks on screen - & it be that size when reopen it.
I DON'T want to resize / resample it, because (sometimes) that changes the current look (size of certain elements in the image). The only way I've found (gotta be another way) is take a screen shot of the cropped image, at it's CURRENT zoom level. Then it will save as a 1920 x 180 px image, NOT as a 3500 x 450 px image that was at reduced zoom.
If I resize & save at a REDUCED %, it can change the look & size of elements. Every thing I've tried to save the image - at it's PHYSICAL size on screen - say 18.5 in. x 1.75 in. (when image is NOT @ 100% zoom), results in saving a much larger image. I understand this, but looking for a way around it. Used various settings & tried to trick the apps many ways - cropping in one app, copying to another - you name it.
I used to be able to do this but have forgotten how. I would like to remove the bg from a small image, ie make it's bg transparent, and place that small image on top of a large image, a banner. Not sure what I am doing wrong but when I place the small image on the large one the entire image is transparent, not just the bg.

I want a plugin for Paint.NET and i will show what i want to say in some pictures. For this exemple i will have :

B. a red ball image (32x32)
1. I have the A image.
2. I copyed and pasted the ball image B on the A image.

I have an image of a map and want to create a number of individual images of that map each with a large white dot with a black edge (to highlight different cities).
I have created a separate image of the dot using both transparent background and normal background and then attempted to use EDIT>COPY the image of the dot and then EDIT>PASTE to the image of the map but no matter which PASTE option I use I cannot achieve what I want to.
Also (different problem) I lost my MATERIAL PALETTE. I noted that to restore it I could use VIEW>PALETTES and select MATERIALS but it was already selected. I also used the F6 key without success. I had to start PSP by pressing the SHIFT key when I started it to restore PSP to its defaults and then I could select and display it. So what stopped me from displaying it in the first place?

I'd like to be able to make an image match the page on the left side of the book,
Is there any way to resize the gizmo within the bend modifier so that I can change the bend to a different radius? Or is the bend radius dependent on the size of the piece its bending?

Is there any way I can bend a 2D object? I have a drawing of a hydraulic hose running straight in the x axis. What I want to do is to be able is to bend the hose around 90 degress (to fit in a case) without altering the overall length & width. I have attached a simple drawing that should explain the problem. I know the lengths don't match, this is purely for illustration
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use the cut across bend feature on a sheet metal part. However, when I check cut across bend, it grays out all of the other cutout options, and only has thickness as the only option. This is perplexing to me, because I can't think of too many times I'd need this option other than when there is more than one thickness of material I need to manipulate the profile onto.
I was to understand that this "cut across bend" is for use similar to the "normal cutout" command in solid edge? Keeps the cut perpendicular to the sheet face in a sheet metal part.
