Paint.NET :: Matrix Space Image Conversion (Warping One Image Into Another)
Feb 4, 2012
Morphing space! I would like to do what other advanced programs do by assigning points to an image and then morph/transpose those points to another space with the same number of defined points.
As a very crude geometric example if I have a 5-pointed star and want to transpose those 5 defined points onto an ellipse with 5 similarly defined points, what might be your approach be to execute this function. How to create and application/extension pack, or write the code for such a function? Any method of steps to create this transition process? (See Two Accompanying JPEGS) .
A vastly more complex situation, but one that continually is used it graphic arts applications would be to morph or transpose the spacial dimensions of one image into those of a second image which is assigned the same set.
I'm currently making and f1 car in maya. I need to know how to warp the goodyear text into a circle. The UV layout is on a separate layer. The transform>warp tool isn't giving me good results.
Today I went to puppet warp a layer, and as soon as I placed the first pin, the image part of the puppet warp disappeared - only the mesh was visible. I can't figure out where to put pins or adjust my layer if I can't see the actual image!  Have been using puppet warp with my current system config for a long time with no issues, and had, in fact, puppet warped several things just a few minutes prior with no issues. I have tried after restarting, using hardly any system resources, and with all other layers visible, and hidden. No matter what I try, as soon as I place the first pin, only the mesh remains and I can't see what I'm trying to warp at all. !
You know those "warp a celebrity" flash or java games where you click on part of the celebrity's face and drag the mouse, and the image warps? Can this sort of thing be done to your images in photoshop 6.0? (That's the version I have)
If this can't be done in Photoshop 6.0, does anyone know of a simple freeware program that I can use to warp images "celebrity warp" style?
Does anyone have any advice on how to warp a logo to fit on a shot glass? I can't seem to get it so that it will curve and the writing still look straight on the glass.
Currently, in our project, we convert autocad model by FBX convertor and load it by separate graphic library(directx or openGL) and then render the model from a specific camera point to get a customized view(image).
Now, I was just wondering if it's possible to create this custom image through autocad .Net api, since the model is already rendered by cad?
I have a multitude of old edits with the ext .pspimage. I have googled and tried the 2 most likely options I found with no success, is there any way to open them in CS6. I would like to convert them and save them as .psd. There must be a way surely.
I have 1000 or so CR2 raw files that I need to convert into 2000 px .jpg files. I tried the batch and action combo but I can’t get past when the file is opened in camera raw and the action stops.
We would like to use Gimp for a small set of image conversion experiments. Unfortunately, the system where we want to install and run Gimp belongs to a US Govt agency, the environment is secure and their data is extremely sensitive. So we need to get their approval before we can install Gimp. To get it, we need to provide information on whether Gimp is "US-based" or "foreign-origin". We don't have a strict definition of what either of these terms means, but I am wondering if you have encountered these questions before. Can you tell me what the geographic origin of the tool is? Do you know of any specific instances of your tool being installed at any US Govt locations with sensitive environments?
I am using the COM SDK. Â Most of the objects have a Matrix which is going to store the objects rotations, flips, etc. Â Many objects that I see appear to have a translation that takes it to somewhere around 7,000 - 9,000, but it's not constant. Â What is this matrix in relation to?Â
From what point is it translated from?
When I set the matrix to the "identity" matrix, all the items are flipped upside down. Why?
I have 72dpi image at 18in. I need to go to print. Should I resize to 300dpi at around 4in or just scale down the image? It will go on a business card so I really have enough pixels because it's not very big, just not sure best resize method.
I want to batch convert some .psd images into jpegs in pse 10 or 11. I know you can batch convert for image resizing, but don"t see the ability to convert images from one format into another.Â
I have a rectangular screen grab (Windows application) that I would like to simply round the corners and add a border. The image is not a photograph, but since I have Paint Shop Pro X3 and like how it works, I thought I would try it . I have spent some time trying to do this with Paint Shop Pro X3 with no luck. None of the pre-defined frames seemed to do what I need. I would also like to create a drop-shadow behind the image. how to do this or a video that I can watch. A list of steps would also be OK.
I was just wondering as to whether its possible to keep the checkered base which you get when you remove part of an image or have it transparent to stay in the created image.
I am sure you all know this.
Here is the YouTube background which I have created and wondering if I am able to keep the checkered base or whatever in the image after I have saved it rather than print screening and pasting it back like a jigsaw puzzle.
Here is what I want to do. Â I have the letters 'XC' which I've played with a bit to look the way I want and due to anti-aliasing has nice edges. Â Now I want to basically fill those letters with an image. Â I can't figure out how to do this and keep the nice anti-aliased edges. Â Current steps:
1. load image as base layer 2. Create new layer with text in it 3. using magic wand select a threshold that has smoothest edges on text layer 4. select image layer and copy the selection area... notice the hard edges of the finished result in the attached example. Â I want it nice and smooth and anti-aliased. Â How to do this more elegantly? Â I've attached the basics of what I'm doing and the result.
Any plugin or something that gathers all the colors within a given image and allows you to save the pallete in another image...If you seen a sprite sheet thats pretty much what Im asking for. It'd be cool if the colors were sorted by how dark it was and by RGB.
If I load a large image (say 5400 px sq.) in Paint.net (or similar) & choose a zoom level where I like the look / size of individual elements, in ONE area. Image is still no where near 100%. Â I select a rectangle so the ACTUAL size of rectangle_AND the way the selection looks AT THAT ZOOM level, is what I want. Say, to use as Fx header background.
Problem I've had: Because the image I initially cropped wasn't at 100%, when crop it - the PHYSICAL size of the rectangle may be 1920 x 180 px, but the prgm still thinks / knows it's really 3500 x 450 (or such), at 40% zoom. I can't just save the image - as it looks on screen - & it be that size when reopen it.  I DON'T want to resize / resample it, because (sometimes) that changes the current look (size of certain elements in the image). The only way I've found (gotta be another way) is take a screen shot of the cropped image, at it's CURRENT zoom level. Then it will save as a 1920 x 180 px image, NOT as a 3500 x 450 px image that was at reduced zoom.  If I resize & save at a REDUCED %, it can change the look & size of elements. Every thing I've tried to save the image - at it's PHYSICAL size on screen - say 18.5 in. x 1.75 in. (when image is NOT @ 100% zoom), results in saving a much larger image. I understand this, but looking for a way around it. Used various settings & tried to trick the apps many ways - cropping in one app, copying to another - you name it.
I used to be able to do this but have forgotten how. I would like to remove the bg from a small image, ie make it's bg transparent, and place that small image on top of a large image, a banner. Not sure what I am doing wrong but when I place the small image on the large one the entire image is transparent, not just the bg.
is it posible to get high quality image from low reolution image 100x100 ? i try using 2 software. paint.net and adobe photoshop cs6. here is the original image (115x140 px)
[URL]
and this is my result using paint.net (1000x1218 px) [URL] (cause of bwk i did not post it here. klik the minus link) Â and this is result with photoshop [URL] Â share with us if you know how to do better resample with high quality pixel.
I want a plugin for Paint.NET and i will show what i want to say in some pictures. For this exemple i will have :
A. a transparent image (800x600) B. a red ball image (32x32)   1. I have the A image.  2. I copyed and pasted the ball image B on the A image. 3. Now what plugin i want to make is to expand the ball B selection on the all A screen/canvas.  4. Now the ball image B will be expanded on the all screen of A.
I have an image of a map and want to create a number of individual images of that map each with a large white dot with a black edge (to highlight different cities).
I have created a separate image of the dot using both transparent background and normal background and then attempted to use EDIT>COPY the image of the dot and then EDIT>PASTE to the image of the map but no matter which PASTE option I use I cannot achieve what I want to.
Also (different problem) I lost my MATERIAL PALETTE. I noted that to restore it I could use VIEW>PALETTES and select MATERIALS but it was already selected. I also used the F6 key without success. I had to start PSP by pressing the SHIFT key when I started it to restore PSP to its defaults and then I could select and display it. So what stopped me from displaying it in the first place?
This part is logical. Add text to a vector layer and write a script to show the text and the position. From what I can tell, the Characters key is the text and the Start key is the (X,Y) position.
So far no problem, click the text 1 pixel right and the Start[0] increases by 1. Same with 1 pixel down and Start[1] increases by 1.
Now for the crunch... Rotate the text and Start does not change (no matter how much you move the text).
By trail and error, I find that the Matrix key changes.
Now, Matrix has 9 values and from what I can tell Matrix[0], Matrix[1], Matrix[3] and Matrix[4] somehow relate to angle. Probably sin and cos of the angle from the x- and y- axis respectively.
Matrix [2] and Matrix[5] do increase linearly with shifts in x and y. How does this relate to the actual position of the text
You can see a more detailed description of the problem and my sample script here. [URL]
I am converting my proprietary RAW files on my hardrive and LR4 catalogue to DNG files for the main reason of gaining extra space on my hard drive. I have ticked the 'delete original files after successful conversion' and they no longer appear on my hard drive, only the DNG files do but the space remaining on my hard drive is shrinking? Why is my drive not reading the extra space that should be now available?
I'm making an image that I want to have 5 different scales of. The scales are: 128x128, 64x64, 48x48, 32x32, 16x16. You guessed it, I'm making a favicon with multiple layers.  I create a canvas size 128x128 to start. Then I add my image to the canvas. I want the image to be transparent, so I remove the background by moving it up to layer 0 and deleting it. Now I hit (CTR + J) to create a copy of this layer to resize to a 64x64. The problem I have is when I copy the image it only copies the image and not the entire layer canvas size.the logo is about 126x90 so that’s what it copies. I need to make this image the entire 128x128, without losing transparency. Essentially what I am asking is can I add the extra 1 px to the width and 38 px to the height without actually changing the visual of the logo?
When I open an Image in Photoshop CC the image does not appear in my work space. The tab identifies that the image is opened, layers shows the image is open, however it is not on the screen. All tools, brushes etc work, but I can't see what they are doing. I can only see the image if i click the tab and move it around. Once my mouse lets go of the image window it dissapears again. After moving it around and such it gets buggy and the image crashes not Photoshop. i have attached two screen shots of my problem. the second with the image, i have my mouse clicked, held down holding onto the window to acheive this.
Say I draw a simple square in Illustrator CS6 then export it to a PNG using Save for Web. The preview shows 1px thick of white space on the right side. Sometimes it's on 2 sides or more. Â No other hidden elements are around the image. Clip to artboard in not clicked.
Suppose I have an image in Lightroom. I export it to Photoshop for editing. During the editing process I convert the image to Lab color space. I complete the edit and then save the file. It goes back to Lightroom. Is it converted back into RGB at that point? Is there a problem with doing this? I'd rather not do any more color space shifting than I absolutely need to.
