Jul 10, 2011I'm using AutoCAD 2010 and I am trying to create a wooden peg in 3D used for coat hooks. These pegs are about 3 or 4 inches long with a tapered base to fit inside a hole for mounting. The base of the peg sits flush on the wooden surface and has a wide base which is tapered to a narrow top. The top looks like a mushroom head.

does the orientation of the spine even matter as long as it rotates properly? I can just do a orient Joint command after the spine is made and live with any joint orientation.
Maya Animation :: IK Locks Rigs Arms Straight?
Aug 24, 2010I'm not sure if it's my lack of sleep or general incompetance but for a reason when I try and add an IK to my rigs arm, it simply snaps the arm dead- straight and wont bend at the elbow when I move the handle. I've fiddled with joint orientation for some time and nothing I do seems to fix it and the frustrating thing is that adding IKs to my rigs legs works fine.

Jan 25, 2013I'm rigging a shoulder pad to a biped and I'd like it to only rotate on one axis. Google hasn't been that useful, and I hope I don't need scripting for this kind of minor thing. I'm rather new to 3Ds Max Design but I'm learning fast and liking it so far!
I've attached what I want to effectively accomplish. I'm looking for a way to lock the z-axis of the object with the upper arm's z-axis.
