I came across this awesome song with an even better background image. I want to know how to make that particular signature. I know it might have something to do with pyrochild's various distort plugins [i have the pack now] but i'm not quite sure how it's done.
I wrote my signature on piece of paper, then scanned it in, removed the white background, leaving just the signature in blue ink on a transparent background and saved it as a .gif. HOWEVER, I need to make the signature darker blue. I've used clipping masks in the past, but cannot figure how to do this in Paint.net.
I made duplicate copy of the original .gif, then created a layer and filled it with a darker blue. What do I do from here so that when I put the layers together the signature is darker, but the background is still translucent?
how to make your render "pop-out" of the signature area. It gives a really cool effect and is really simple to do. When we are done, it will look a little like this.
OK, to begin, you need to prepare your render. I am going to use this one.
Feel free to use it if you want to.
Open up a new image with the dimensions of 400 x 125. Now you will need to make a background. I'm not going to give any real steps on how to do this, but if you look around on this site, there are many tutorials showing you how to make them. Try using this one, as it is the way I am going to make mine. Don't add the render to your background though. We will do that later.
Following those steps you will get something like this. If you want to add a border, now is the time to do it. The link to the tutorial I told you about above will also show you how to do this.
You now have both a background and a render. Press Ctrl + A to select everything. Now go to: Image ---> Canvas Size A window like the screenshot below will appear. If you made the size of your image 400 x 125 like I told you, simply set the settings to the same as shown. If you have used a different size, double the width and height of your image and type what the numbers come to into the boxes names "Width" and "Height". Set the offset X and Y values the same as in the screenshot.
Press "Resize".
Your canvas will now look something a little like this.
This is just how you want it.
Now for your render. Open it up and it will appear in a new window. If its to big, resize it. Now go back to your signature window and make a new layer. Copy your render and paste it on to your new layer. A handy tip to know is when you press F11, it will bring The GIMP into full screen mode allowing you to see what you are doing clearly. You should get something like this. Yours will have little dotted squares all behind it though like the image above. Its OK, its how it should be.
Now add some text or whatever you want on your signature. A cool way to make text look good is to type what you want out on to your signature in white, move it to where you want it to be, set that layer's mode to "Overlay" and then duplicate it untill it looks nice. Heres what I got. Again, squares should still be present.
Now merge all the visible layers by pressing Ctrl + M. Select the first option. Now right click on the layer in the layers window and select "Alpha to Selection". This will select all your signature. Copy it by pressing Ctrl + C. Then go to:
Edit ---> Paste as New This will open up a new window with your signature in it. Go to: File ---> Save as . . . Save it as "Popout Signature.png" it must be in a .png for it to work. Thats it your all done! This is what I got.
Whenever i try to use Gimp the sparks aren't orange they are grey i really need the orange to make a Signature-Background thing for myself i will post a picture
I am trying to trace my signature using Pen Tool to later appear as a shape in the Custom Shape Options. When I trace all the image, using the free form pen tool, the Define Custom Shape option does not appear.
I just bought a new laptop with Windows 7 Professional and tried to move my Corel Photo Album 6. Windows 7 says I need a digital signature...what do I do with this?
The closer I got to the same look was to create a brush with the size of 1 pixel and 500% spacing, but it's still a bit slow to get even a small area looking like it's been sprayed. Plus, in the end my pattern looks too regular, not very natural. Here is part of the image whose look I'm trying to recreate (400% and 100%).
I was wondering if you had any tips on making a nice signature to sign work with. If you have any recommendations for some beautiful cursive text to use for the signature, that would be great too. I don't have a scanner to scan my own signature to make it into a brush but I would like to make one into a brush. I'd like a nice glowing effect, not too much, just a bit of a shimmer to it.
I came past a signature from someone on another forum and was astounded by it. Especially the framework is done really nice in my opinion.
Now since i'm a forumholic and want to make one of those of my own i was wondering if any of you could give me some tips or a tutoriual where everything is explained step by step.
how to make a web signature that looks like a simple ID badge. I am trying to create a standard signature for use on the forums that support a faction within an online role playing game i am a member of. The basic image I have in my head is this. A white or maybe grayscale/silverish back ground layer, with the standard techy inlays. a spot in the top left corner for each individual members avatar. Then pushed off to the center-right side, their information, I.E Rank, name, email, member identification number. With a barcode font on the bottom. Finally with the faction logo well cropped and placed to be an underlying layer below the whole thing set at a very low opacity.
I want a background that’s black with blue lighting. I also want to be able to make raised looking lettering, and put in 3 objects side by side, and have a 4th one to be transparent behind them.
I've created my signature (for Lotus use) in Photoshop, in order to get the same pantone as my company's logo. My pblm is now I don't know how could I import my logo in CS2?
So, I new to this site, I I dont know how to display my signature, When i post, I have to attach. Someone tried explaining about a image hosting site, but I didn't quite fully understand?
Any way to add signature to the bottom of my posts? I had a look in preferences but can't find way to do it.
I'm also trying to make an animated section to it that has a kinda electrical charge effect, or the flare that runs along a line of lit gunpowder, to the outer edge of the centre section - the bars that hold the name section and the name itself. I've tried a few basic animation techniques but not been able to close to effect I want.
My signature block with personal info appears when I post a question. How can I eliminate this? This question was sent via email where I erased signature block as a separate step.
I have a signature on a piece of paper which has been done with blue pen. It has been scanned at resolution of 600x600 dpi. I want my signature to look like original one after printing. Is it possible? There is a plenty of tutorials how to do that with normal black pen or how to do transparency etc. I need signature which looks like originals blue pen.
I have many many pictures (more than 1000) ...and i like to put a signature on the right-buttom cornar of each pic...I tried to use batch processing to do that but the problem is there is no way in adobe photoshop to align the signature in the left-buttom corner of the picture...
I tried to use positioning, and another problem float to surface..the different resolutions of the pix cause signature to be set in defferent positions other than the corner...
Finally I tried to flip the picture upside-down as well as flip it horizantally..so the right-bottom corner will be the upper-left ..with flipping the signature as will, I positioned the signature in the 0,0 point of the picture...but still adobe photoshop print the signature in different positions other than the desired position..
in addtion to different resolutions of the pix..one cause of that is adobe photoshop just measure the distances from starting point to end point (= (0,0)) and the first pix , and move the signature in all pix with same distance..even if one pic has different dimentions
I want to use photoshop becuase I can do a lot of effects in the signature, not just a plain text on the pic
