View 2 RepliesI want to blur or fade just one side of a picture to blend into a new header image.
I don't want the picture to look as if it has just been stuck on top of the background....It must look as if it's an integral part of the background.... the picture has a very defined, dark "hard" edge . And I would like to "soften" it ....is that possible?
What techniques are available to integrate a picture into a header background?
I have an icon and it's a circle with the outer areas deleted (transparent). I need to select only the image area (the circle) and copy it so I can add it with a paste as a layer over another image.

This behaviour has been reported on other webpages before but there has been no solution and people think it is caused by a graphics driver bug. I have updated the latest Photoshop and system updates.
Here is some information about my system:

MacBook Pro Retina, Mid 2012
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M

I'm pretty new to photo editing. I need to blur faces in a picture so nobody gets recognized.
I have CorelDraw Graphic Suites X5.
I have a photo and I would like to blur the bottom of the image while leaving the top of the image sharp, similar to limiting the depth of field by using a large f-stop. I created a gradient mask and then used Filters > Blur but it is not working. If I choose the layer that I created the mask on and choose blur, nothing happens. If I choose the layer (background) under the mask then the whole image blurs.

I have a photo and need to blur/distort out a face. When I use one of the blurs or distorts it does the whole photo. If I use the elliptical thingie it just makes the ellipse, but I don't know how to apply the blur to that spot.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded paint.net and I'm making a icon for my youtube channel. I'm usually good when it comes to photoshop (i had it for years, it recently was uninstalled by mistake and I couldn't be bothered re-downloading it) but I cant seem to find out how to do something.
I'm trying to colour the blur behind the text (the layer under layer 5) but I've tried making a new layer, colouring green over it and using overlay, that failed. I've check multiple tutorials, but nothing is working.
The Median Blur effect is suppose to be available with PdN V3.0Alpha3+.
How in the world can I get this into my PainNet program?
I edit allot of sports photos and I would like to get to be able to use the Motion blur effect. I know Paint.net has the motion blur effect but I have a hard time just blurring the parts of the photo I want. Is there anyway I can get a better selecting tool?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm just working on a flyer for a party and I like how the picture looks like after clicking on the picture with the magic wand. Now the question if I can save that picture with that looking someway?
I could use the print button, yes but then I lose the quality of the pic.
I am wondering why the gradients that paint.net generate look so dull, and i've experimented with creating the gradient by just filling two colors and then applying gaussian blur. Is there a reason why the gradient looks dull? and is there already a tool for creating a gradient like a gaussian blur provides?
it looks like the gradient tool creates a lot of "in between" color, in my example gray. I've attached an example. The gradient is on the left, gaussian blur on the right.

I have an image with some text in it, however the text is quite blur. How can I make the text clearer so that the text is readable?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm learning how to use a Gaussian blur mask to airbrush portraits, but one issue I keep running into is that whenever I paint close to a colour other than skin (e.g., glasses, hair, shirt) then the paintbrush picks up that colour and paints it on the skin. Even when I try a very small diameter of brush or increase the hardness to 100%, it still shows up. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

So you coud copy whole "effect-strings" much easier as before.
Is there a chance to implement this feature to P.net?
I am trying to get a blur effect (Gaussian) on a vector image, and it is not allowing it to happen. It appears that it will only affect bitmap images. Is this true, or can I actually do the effect as I want?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have some random curves (already created) and I want to blur them just from one side to have the same blur distance and effect one the whole curve.
To more precisely describe what I need, I need to create gradient with direction of normal for every "point". The best example I have found so far are borders in Civilization IV game. Here are two examples:

As you can see, there is a solid curve, which gradually blends (i.e. alpha channel is lowered) till the gradient disappears. I have the solid curve and the question is, what would be the simplest way how to do this (the number of curves is around 100) gradient.
I just got PSE CS6 and the blur too will NOT work ....blur filters work, but not BLUR in the tools panel I have tried: unintstall/reinstall, updating, using it no a picture straight after opening it, duplicate layers, selecting an area and then blurring....flattening an image, every single different setting in the the blur tools menu bar NOTHING works. And everything I find about blur is the new blur filters....

I have tried everthing that I can think of in PS, but can't seem to find anyway to remove the white box to see all of the pixels.
