Paint.NET :: Fitting One Image Upon Another?
Jun 30, 2013
Let's say I have two images, a square photo of a person, and a square picture frame. I want to put the photo in the frame so it looks natural.
Now here's the catch: the picture frame image is displayed at a slight angle, so it's shaped sort of like a parallelogram. So when I put the square photo on top, and rotate it as best I can, it still does not 'fit' naturally in the frame.
My question is how can I make the photo fit naturally?

I have a project that is just under 100 minutes and VideoStudio reports that it requires 5.31GB. I have tried all 6 provided templates and 2 new templates that I created, using compression factors down to 60%. Every one still shows the 5.31Gb requirement. How do I adjust settings to put this project on a 4.7Gb DVD?

For more years I can remember, I have been using CorelDraw4 - I use it for designs for t-shirts and various other printing requirements. A lot of this work involves fitting text to path, particularly round the bottom of a circle. I know how to do it in CorelDraw4, how to do it in Corel draw X5 - I can get wording on the top of the circle, but cannot get separate at the bottom of the circle.

When I fit a line of text to a curve, it never quite 'fits.' The text is always skewed across the curve, instead of being 'on' the curve. Is there a way to fit the text exactly on the curve/line?

Fitting text to a specified area. To clarify, I am trying to fill letters into a Harley Davidson logo. The top and bottom rockers on the logo have the text skewed to fit the shape of the shield. If you are familiar with the logo, the text in the top and bottom rockers has one flat side and one stretched side.
I've attempted to try some text to path options but they aren't doing at all what I need. It's essentially a standard line of text with either the top or bottom (respectively) stretched to fit the point of the top rocker and the curve of the bottom.

If my video project is to big to fit on a 4.7G disc and X4 prompt to fit it in the burn to ISO or Video TS stage, the end result have 1 or more video clips converted to heavily low quality, approximately a bit more than 3000 bit rate, but not all the video clips are converted. The end result is that some video clips have grainy scenes with some artifacts on the TV.
Since it is very time consuming to batch convert all the videos of the project to a lower bit rate in order to fit it on a 4.7G disc (choosing one bit rate specification, see if all videos plus menus fit, choose another lower bit rate and start batch converting again if not...), I decided to use the 8.5G option of X4 with the original quality formerly rendered videos and finish the dvd building in that way. After that I choose DVD Shrink 3.2 to compress it on 4.7G. DVD Shrink successfully compress a 5.2G project DVD to 4.7G (actually 4.4G) with a 95% compression rate with a sharp function. The overall end result's playback quality was far more better than when using batch convert to a lower bit rate with X4. Just want to mention that X2 handled such a compress to fit request better.
The last time I've needed to go the DVD Shrink way for compressing large DVD sizes were in the days of VS 11. By mentioning VS11, that was also the time when I got several crashes with DVD authorizing. I remember I had to set VS 11 to convert all DVD compliant MPEG again to have a smooth playback without Video/Audio multiplexing problems.I always use formerly rendered MPEG2 files. I never use the edited project to author a DVD.

I downloaded a hose fitting ipt file from the Parker website and did the Tube and Pipe Authoring thing to put it into the content center as a new family in a new read/write library. When I browse for it to use as the Start Fitting on my hose, the new family does not appear in the list. What is my problem?
The new library is checked in my Projects configuration. I have been monkeying with the NS column of the family and can't seem to get it back to its original format now.

I am relatively un-practiced using AutoCAD and I am struggling with keeping my drawing in the state it was created. All of my curved lines seem to have moved or doubled so now there are two of the same very close to each other which makes the line width seem heavy. Because my curved lines are not exactly where I created them now it means that my hatching does not sit flush with its boundary. A separate issue is that when I am choosing 'pick points' to hatch, they take a very long time to select before the hatch box appears.

With shapes that are intended to fit exactly with one another, such as shapes created with pathfinder>divide I find often that there are very small cracks between the shapes and that these will show up if the shapes are exported to Photoshop in a more pronounced way.
What's the workaround to 'seal' one shape to another and rid the result of these gaps?
Joining the shapes is not an option as they are different colours.

I could have sworn a while back that I had stumbled across an option within Illustrator (I'm currently using CC) to specify a certain amount of "padding" to leave around an object when cropping it. I can't recall if I saw this in the Artboard settings, in the Save For Web settings or somewhere else - if at all. Is this possible within Illustrator. In other words, if I draw a shape and want to crop the artboard to fit the dimensions of the shape, plus leave an extra 25px of padding around the shape.

I'm trying to find a way to fit a text inside a shape and to align it exactly to the shape borders, I was trying to play with the justification panel under the paragraph link but couldn't make it work,
I was trying to fit my text inside a shape look like the number 7 so eventually when a viewer see it they can recognize the number 7 without a stroke - only by the text insize the shape, above is an example of what happe when I try the same with a circular shape - I would like the test to fit in nicely filling the entire circle.

I have a sinusoidal curve, that I've created using a third party app, which has worked really well. But the app only produces the form in a straight line and i now need to fit it to a number of curves.
I have a form of 3 radii and a couple of flats, which the sinusoidal form needs to fit along. All this work is just in 2D as i need to output the dxf into a CNC machine.

I am trying to add geometry programatically to a duct fitting. This is because the content builder is incapable of correctly building some types of fittings. I found some old code from an Autodesk University class that shows how to add geometry to a AEC object. I have modified it a little to be able to work with a duct fitting but it does not work. The code compiles fine and runs fine without any errors. The geometry is just not added.
[CommandMethod("ACAClassCode", "ExModelerModifyBody", CommandFlags.Modal)] public void ModifyBody() { Database db = HostApplicationServices.WorkingDatabase; Editor ed =

I've just got AutoCAD 2012 and mkaing some rings, I needed to fit the same textures of a ring of 8mm in a 6mm ring. My problem is that the inside diameter is larger in the 6mm ring, and that's why I can't use the Scale command. Is there a command that allows me to fit all the objects in this area??
Here is the file with both of the rings.

Pipe and tank plant layouts, now need to make a modified (not standard) pipe fitting.
Looking for a pipe plug drawing. the fitting (Imperial) is 4—10. Four inch NPT piping. Appears to have a slight taper, very slight.
Or, better yet, a G 3-3/4" pipe thread(?).
a *.dwg (AutoCAD 2007) drawing?

I have a couple of users who accidently added connections to the wrong parts and made them fittings.
For the life of me I cannot remember how to turn them back into regular Inventor parts.
I've removed the connection points, but the parts still appear as fittings when placed into an assembly.

Put together a pressure network and actually plotted it out for a project? Are the fittings and appurtenances even readable? I have a network setup on 40 scale plans and when plotted out, you can't even tell what a recuder is compared to a valve. Tees are obvious but thats only because of the branch pipe coming off of it. Our company uses the old basic symbols that are blown up big enough that dimensionally, they are not correct but visually they look really nice.

I'm trying to make a piping run that at one point branches off in another direction. Basically I want to have one straight pipe, a main line, where another pipe branches off and sticks out vertically from it and goes its own way. However, I want this branching pipe to be welded to the main line, not connected with a tee fitting. Inventor won't let me create branches from within a route, and it doesn't seem to want to let me snap to the existing main line run if I create a new run for the branching pipe.

I'm physiotherapist and researcher interested in human body posture analysis. Goal of my researches are to make 3d digital model of human posture. Right now I'm using Microsoft kinect to build a human body model, but it's difficult to do automatic analysis on that mesh. In our team we create an algorithm which analysis posture, right now we base on points located on the body, for that is necessary to manually locate that point's which is inaccurate and time consuming. Our idea is to use divide human body into segments and then fit in those segments some geometry figures ( cylinders , bal, ), next step is to calculate center of masses of those figures, so we simplify the posture to 20-40 points , and calculation of those points can be made automatic.

I have a rectangular screen grab (Windows application) that I would like to simply round the corners and add a border. The image is not a photograph, but since I have Paint Shop Pro X3 and like how it works, I thought I would try it . I have spent some time trying to do this with Paint Shop Pro X3 with no luck. None of the pre-defined frames seemed to do what I need. I would also like to create a drop-shadow behind the image. how to do this or a video that I can watch. A list of steps would also be OK.

I was just wondering as to whether its possible to keep the checkered base which you get when you remove part of an image or have it transparent to stay in the created image.
I am sure you all know this.
Here is the YouTube background which I have created and wondering if I am able to keep the checkered base or whatever in the image after I have saved it rather than print screening and pasting it back like a jigsaw puzzle.
