View 2 Replies View RelatedI built an animated sequence in Photoshop 5, but when I try to add a new frame to the end of it in PS6, that last frame appears in plastered over all the frames before it. Is there something that I have to click on or off to keep that image on the one frame, instead of propigating it ot every frame?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFrame animation plays fine when played from timeline but all layers are exported stacked on top of each other for the duration of the whole animation. I'm able to see that because the layers have transparency.
About animation - 8 frames with in endless loop, imported into a timeline via 'Make Frames from Layers' command in a fly-out menu in the Timeliine window. Tweens for animation are off, 01.sec delay for all frames
I was able to export animated GIF before, wondering if this issue is tied to the latest update.

Have an animated fire/smoke effect. But I need to have each frame as individual images. I'm inputting it into a game that compiles the images together into an animation in-game.
I have found lots of smoke and flame tutorials, but have not found any on how to make all the frames I would need for a smooth looping effect. If possible, I believe there are small little programs which can create animated fire/smoke for you, and then break it down by frame. But I have no clue what programs can do this. My main concern is to make sure the flames/smoke are as clean as possible in order to be able to make an alpha channel to provide me with transparencies around the effect.
So if anyone knows of a tutorial showing me how to create smoke divided by different frames (20+ or more so it is nice and smooth), please let me know. Of course, if you are willing to provide a quickie tutorial, then even better.
Or if someone has a name of a small program I can use that will create fire/smoke for me, then separate it by frame and save them,
So I want to to create an animated header like the one on the link below. I would prefer to use Paint.Net but I also have Photoshop if necessary. So my question is what would be the best route for creating this effect without the use of flash? (I expect that there is going to have to be code thats going to go into my website for this to happen whether that be html or javascript)

I have painted a banner and now I will create an animated gif, so the banner should be waving (like in reality). I have tried it with Effects -> distort -> twist but I couldn't realize it that it looks real.

I have a static picture, and a already-made gif from a friend.I want to put the animated gif INTO the static picture, and make it a new gif.
As in, the original animated gif remains animated and functions all the same, but basically now it is just part of a photo which remains still. For example, my specific idea currently is a photograph of my city I took, but I want to put the animated gif over a billboard that is in the photo.
I wanted to use paint.net with Animated Image to convert some gif animations to png animations and in the process reduce the file size of them as well.
I downloaded the files and unpacked into "effects" folder but I can't find anything in paint.net.
Opening a gif animation only results in a flat image.
How can I get this to work?
I just wanted to know if there is a plug in that will let me make animated images and/or banners?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an ancient version of Paint shop pro X. It worked fine for what I used it for-making note cards and simple stuff with photos. That was all fine until my computer died. OK I had the disc and install on new computer but now all the features do not seem to be working-ability to change color of the fill area etc.
Tried messing with that for a couple of days to see if I could get it to look like it did on the old computer-no such luck.
Now I download free trial of Paint shop Pro 6-great most of what I needed seem to be working and easy to do. But now I want to add picture frames and there is a very limited selection and when I tried to manipulate a previous version of a picture + frame+ texture only on the frame part-now the texture went all over the picture/space.
What gives here? I am very technically challenged and wish I could get my old version to work right and I would be happy. The layers of the new version give me a real headache and don't know that I can figure that out now-didn't need to do that on the old version. I was used to the old way and want that back on the new computer.....
I was doing a tutorial the other day that required animation shop. It required that I export the frames from AS to PSP and then back when done. When I started using PSP, I used X2. In taking lessons, I found that I needed to have PSP9 installed on my computer for the export frames to work properly. When I got X3, export frames worked fine. Now in X4, I tried to export frames from AS to PSP and it doesn't work. No error message, just a computer sound letting me know that nope, that's not going to work.Or am I going to have to use X3 whenever I do something that requires AS?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create an animated GIF for use in a PowerPoint presentation. I've created the images in PDN and saved the cels as GIFs with the transparency threshhold set to 255. (I've also tried 0 and values in between). The individual cels have opaque white backgrounds, verified by inserting them in a PP slide overlapping another image. When I load them as layers into PDN and save as an AGIF, then change the extension and load onto the PP slide, the white backgrounds are now transparent!
This wouldn't normally be a problem, except that the transparent areas have an odd mottled effect to them instead of being solid white. How can I correct it?
I am trying PSP 5 and have downloaded additional picture frames from an external sourse. I cannot find a folder named "picture frames" in the PSP 5 program files.
Where do I place these new templates?
I know that x6 comes with limited Picture Frames. I loaded, via preferences, the x5 set of frames that I had been using. All was well. Now my frames have vanished. (All but the original limited set). I've tried to reload them into x6. But x6 is refusing to find them. I'm using 64bit. Was before when all was well. Why can't preferences find them now? The thing is I rarely use Picture Frames so I may have forgotten how to reload them via Preferences.
(For interest sake I fired up x5 and the frames have also gone from it. The location was /My Documents/Corel Paintshop Pro/16.0/Picture Frames. The files are still there).
Is it possible to use .png grey scale photo edges (made for photoshop) in paint.net? I found some "frames" that will add various edges to the image (torn edge, lace, ect), but they are in grey scale and I'm not sure how, if I can, to use them in pdn. I'm just wanting to give a ragged or other style edge to my photos or backgrounds to use them for digital scrapbooking and framed photos.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have several discs/flash drives with digital pictures frames that I would like to insert pictures into some of them, but everytime I do as the instructions tell me, by first clickling new, inserting the frame, then I go to start and drag the photo over and invariably, the photo turns into a background, not a layer that will easily insert into the frame, a lot of the frames are png, do I need to change their format or what. It looked so simple on the U tube video I watched and it sure isn't that way when I try it. I bought a lot of these photo frame discs on ebay a while back and at that time they gave me a simple program to use to insert photos into these frames, but since then I've change computers a few times and lost the program, will do the insertion of photos into these frames.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working in CoreDraw X6 on Windows XP, and I was trying to create an animated gif banner. When I completed the set up, hit preview, the animation did not work. Thought maybe it was just the preview so I saved the file as an animated gif. Opened it in Windows Picture Viewer, and it still did not work. I also tried the process in X5 without any successful result.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to animate a small thing. A smiley face which bounces up and down. I have set it all up etc. but when I preview nothing happens. On the right hand side, in the movie docker, it shows the correct frames, (all 6 of them).
In the main window, when I click through the 6 frames, they are all frame 1. And when I press play, nothing happens (it says processing in the bottom corner, and keeps filling up the bar and starting again (assuming it is playing, but playing the same frame repeatedly?)
Not sure what to do with it? When I saved it, and opened the file, it kind of worked, all though frame one stayed there throughout the animation, the others did appear and do their thing, just behind frame one.
I have had a request to edit an animated gif. I have done so in the past using the agif plugin.
The issue I am having is the text is so small that it gets blurry when I paste it in.
I would like to put GMC on [URL] ... to look like this [URL] ....
Using X4 on Windows 7. I'm trying to create a series of custom edges to supplement those already supplied in X4. I've created the edge ok and exported it as a frame and it works ok. The problem is selecting it in the dropdown menu under Image/picture frames. Whereas the thumbnails of the supplied edges have grey shading to represent the transparent section of the edge, mine don't, they are just plain white and that makes it difficult to know what edge to select. What have I done wrong? I've opened a couple of the supplied edges and they look similar to mine ie no shading.
View 3 Replies View Relatedmaking a GIF with PP. I'm working on a really simple one, I have a background, and I have an object that I want to move into the frame, then back out of the frame. Then loop.
Do I really have to combine the moving object with the back ground EVERY single frame?
Is there a way to say take this object over this many frames and move it from here to there?
Is there a way to save the position of the object in each frame without combining it to the background each time? I'd like to set it, go to the next frame, move it, go to the next frame, move it, repeat.
Current System: i3 3.07ghz, 3gb ram, Windows 7 32 bit with all updates and X6
I have a problem:
Movie > Create From Document > Insert From File > select multiple images and click OK = crash
Very sad. Because I have to insert over 100 frames and doing it one by one.
PP X5 SP3, Windows 7.
I was using a trial version of paint shop pro x5 and still had 11 days left of my trial when it suddenly stopped working. When I click on the icon to start paint shop pro it starts up and then freezes every time when it is loading in the spot that says "initializing color swatches".
I haven't changed anything on my computer- it just suddenly stopped working. I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it, I also tried restoring it.
I see that there are a lot of really cool plugins, but I haven't found how to load them into my copy of paint.net.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter I migrated to Windows 7, PSPX3 does not load the plug-ins anymore. It says: "No plug-ins loaded." Older versions of PSP can load the plugins from the same directory, but not PSPX3. I have tried resetting the cache, and have checked the file location. It's correct and it is notched, but nothing works. I have 6Gb of RAM so it should do. Of course, I could always run the scripts in PSP8, so it's no big deal. But it should work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMost of the designs require some unique font to get the desired effect. Most likely, we'd search the web for one, download it, use it and discard it. We don't wanna keep all these single-use fonts installed. It would be great if we can load a font in to PDN by just browsing for it using a file dialog. I think Photoshop lets you drag and drop a font to its main window and till let you use it for that session. When you exit the application, the font is unloaded.
Can this be supported? Of course, there is a workaround: Use a font manager app. But, I think it's a pretty good feature to have in a image editor never the less
