View 2 RepliesI know in Adobe PhotoShop you can save each image indivdually without an image folder being created.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery time I launch Paint Shop Pro X5 my recent file list is empty. I thought the program was supposed to remember the last four images that were opened. I then have to select File > Open but now the program defaults to a folder called My Pictures. I store my images in my own folder elsewhere. I would like to set my folder to be the default folder. I have to navigate to my folder ever time I launch the tool. If I go to File > Preferences, I do not see a place where I can change the setting.

I always close the first drawing and begin a new one by choosing out of several templates or start with an existing drawing, rename and modify it. For NEW or OPEN i like to use the welcome screen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSuddenly today when I use the "Section tool" on a photo and then 'Crop to Selection' a new image is produced of the cropped selection and the old image remains. I don't want this and it has never happened before in the years I have been using PSP.
I want the existing image to be cropped and then I will save it.
How I can reset the "Selection tool' to do what it has always done? BTW I had earlier today used the "Crop" tool and ever since the 'Selection tool' has been creating a new image.
When in Paperspace and using the Plot icon and choose Printer Name "PublishToWebJPG.pc3" I get a JPG created that is size 32 bytes, but is empty.
I need to create JPGs of drawings for a document. I have attached an example DWG and a resulting JPG.
BTW: I did try using SAVEIMG - as JPG, TIF, PNG - it does create an image with the title block, but not the model content.
I'm getting some erratic results with PSPX4. I download my CR2 canon files to lightroom, process, export as Tiif or jpeg, then open in PSPX4. I then edit the pic resize to 800x600 jpeg, quality 3. The file is usually about 300-400 kb, a jpeg. I have a couple of files that are corrupted on resizing and are only 12.0 kb in size. I can't upload to my website, - the error message says they are corrupted. I'm not getting it with every file, but two in the last batch of ten files processed had this effect.
I tried restarting the program, same effect on those two files. I tried reprocessing in lightroom again , exporting as jpeg and tiff, same result. I can save the files out of PSPX4 as png format, no problem, no corruption. My workflow is the same across a large number of files, - hundreds of em, normally no problem. Just can't figure out what would cause this erratic problem.
I can open and save the problem files in gimp, which makes me think the problem is specific to PSPX4, but why does it not affect every file, only 20%??? Tried re installing PSPX4, no difference.Below is one of the problem jpegs file straight from Lightroom, before I load it into PSPX4.
Can I place an empty .ipt file into an assembly then start working on it?
Or do I have to create the new part, save it, then go into my assembly and place it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a plugin that creates patterns/textures like these:
These are from the plugin I'm searching for. It was very fast and effective to use. It is NOT the Grid/checkerboard maker or the "diagonal lines" plugin but something similar. I had it once but lost it.
Windows 7, Photoshop CS6 13.0.1 x64. I updated from CS5 and all was well. Photoshop came up very fast when it was started. One day for a reason I've forgotten, I had to delete and reinstall CS6 and ever since then it's taken I'd estimate maybe 20 seconds to come up. If I shut CS6 down and restart it without rebooting the computer, it comes up relatively fast.
I'm assuming there is a file that should be starting on boot and apparently it got lost along the way. But I see nothing unusual in my startup file.
My computer is running windows 7, 64 bit, and im running no plugins.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using Photoshop CS2 and recently installed it on my new Vista system. During normal use, I log in to Windows as a non-administrator, as recommended for security purposes.
Each time I launch Photoshop, it wants to check for updates, and asks for administrator privileges to do so. This is very annoying, first because I then have to enter my password for the admin account each time, and second because I don't need to check for updates every single time I run the program.
I can instruct Windows to run photoshop.exe as an administrator each time it runs, which fixes the annoying problem of it checking for updates, but it still means I have to enter my administrator password each time I want to run Photoshop. Surely there is a good solution to this problem? I'd be happy if I could just instruct Photoshop once and for all to "do not check for updates". I have this option set and it seems to work when I run it as an administrator but when I run it as a non-privileged user, it still insists on checking for updates.
I have bought an Easycap capture device and it is installed properly. However when I try to capture video from VHS I get the message "The sample start time is after the sample end time"

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust recently I've had a problem with CS6 where it creates a partial (tiled) image when "Edit In" from LR4 and when saving back to CS6 from HDR Efex Pro. THe image may have one or several rectangles which may be black, white, or part of the image that's in the wrong place if that makes any sense. All software is running with current updates.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there a way (a simple way) to have Adobe Photoshop batch produce all the wallpaper sizes (and name them accordingly)? Then, if I ever make the slightest change in my wallpaper, I don't have to go through the arduous task of reproducing all the wallpaper sizes again.
Also, is it possible to have certain things, like pixel perfect fonts, to remain the same size regardless of the output image size? I hope you follow that. In other words, if I have a font that is pixel-perfect, that I do not want scaled, can I have it remain that same exact absolute size for each wallpaper size?
I live in the American Southwest and during the summers here the light is very harsh, the skies are usually completely clear and there are few, if any, shadows at mid-day. A couple of days ago a large red-tailed hawk had landed on a tree near where I live and I had the chance to shoot a lot of (Canon 7D) RAW images of the hawk with the bright sky behind. After processing I found I was not happy with the way the photos came out with my usual photo software (Dxo and Elements , so I re-installed a copy of PSPP X3 on my computer and thought I would try to use layers to darken the sky without darkening the hawk (if I can figure out how to use layers...).
But I noticed that when I opened the histogram palette that there was no graph display other than what looked like a single stright line (with no width) in the center of the photo. I tried several other RAW photos and they were pretty much the same - sometimes empty, sometimes very, very small curves, but so low on the graph that it was easy to not even see them. I then tried some of the converted jpgs from Dxo and Elements 8 and they seemed OK. Visible histograms with normal height. The other software I have displays the RAW histograms normally. The distribution is not pleasant because there is such a bright background, but the curves are easily visible and of normal height. I began to wonder if there was some issue with PSPP X3 processing RAW Canon cr2 images that might be causing this problem for me.
My PSPP X3 is up to date with all service packs, but I can find nothing of this issue in the knowledgebase.
Can anyone tell me how I can make a background suitable for those who use 800x600 and those who use 1024x768 pixels?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't think that my PSP X5 (or X4) is presenting the images the way the tab had intended. I've done several complete re-installs and the remainder of the program seems to be working, except for the Manage tab. I can see the images displayed in the tray portion of the window and the highlighted image name shows above the large preview window, however there is no image in the preview window.
The area becomes populated with images if I switch to the Thumbnail view, but the small preview window palette is blank. If, while in the Preview mode if I click on one of the effects, the effect is created in the tray. Another thing that I've noticed is if I use the Magnifier tool in the empty area (where the preview should be) I can actually see the magnified image in the tool.
I have been using PSP9 for many years now. However, after trying out PSP X5 I liked some of the new features, so I decided to upgrade. Now I'm starting to regret it... For some reason, the new version creates this little "empty space" at the end of text which I cant figure out how to get rid of! I attached a screenshot to show you what I mean. Is there any way to remove this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm a web developer currently slicing an illustrator file for web graphics. Some of the icons and images have shadows, lights, etc, and it's impossible to simply see by a naked eye which pixels contains some shade or nearly transparent color and which doesn't.
It would be extremely useful if I could somehow easily differentiate between empty and non-empty pixels, so I wouldn't miss any when slicing.

I have also tried opening it by using the shift key which did reset the preferences but still won't open. I have turned off DEP svs for it.I have tried just about everything and I am very upset.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhenever you open up paint.net, it always has one white-background layer as the default layer.
Then i start drawing and after a while i realize "if i did this on transparent background i could reuse it in so many places!". So i either have to manually erase the white background carefully around every corner or restart drawing.
It would be good if the default was two layers, one white background layer and one empty layer where you start drawing. I know it's super simple to just create a new one manually when you start, but i'm often in such a rush when opening up to start drawing that i always forget.
After Installing Sp3 PSP X4 does not start. I only get Error message:
Error: Versions must match.

I tried to install it also on a Windows 7 computer with same result. What to do?
