I'm trying to make thumbnails for video's for youtube. So my idea is that the nr 1 is on thumbnail 1, then on the thumbnail for the second video, it says 2, etc. But every time i have to delete the number and write a new one. Is there a way of doing that automatically? so that it just makes p.e. 10 thumbnails, with numbers from 1-10?

To do this I count filled pixels by column if a zoomed in image. Is there a way to generate a count of filled and unfilled spaces in an image. View 19 Replies View RelatedHere's what I want to do: I want to automatically align two layers on top of each other.
Let's say I have two pictures. Each picture has a photography in the background and some text in the foreground. I now want to maximize the parts of the picture that aren't blocked by text. The two pictures don't have the same size and additionally, the aspect ratio of both photographies is slightly off. So to align both pictures (e.g. in two layers on top of each other), one of the images would need to be not only rescaled but also stretched (or clinched respectively). Is there a way to do this automatically? The operation itself would be extremely simple:
1. create two "anchor points" (with mandatory diagonal distance to each other) on both images which depict the same part of the picture each
2. run the automatic operation. It justs alignes the anchor points by re-scaling one of the images - nothing more.
You basically have to click "Expand canvas" every single time you paste a screenshot larger than the canvas. Sure, open a canvas that size, etc etc, but I'm looking for a permanent solution which would allow you to use the "Expand" choice AUTOMATICALLY, by default, without a popup. On that note, here's another annoying thing. Whenever I open images, crop out something, open a new one, paste it there, save it, etc, I usually have tons of unsaved images which I no longer need. I just want to exit the whole thing altogether without any save popups, etc. Like you would do in MSPaint. Open a canvas, paste in something, save it or don't, exit, the program closes nice and fine. My problem is:
This. I don't want to save every single image separately, because I no longer need them. Neither do I want to manually click each and every single one and tell it not to save, nor do I want to click "Don't Save" every time I exit. This may seem like pointless bitching, but trust me, it really gets on your nerves when you're using the program literally hundreds of times per day.
So, is there any way to disable these popups and define an "automatic" feature, to simply close and enlarge under any circumstances?
Every time I crop a picture, the picture is automatically rotated to the left. This started to happen a few weeks ago.

Fortunately I have an older PC with version 9 but switching from one PC to another even with Remote is a pain.
PSP X4 wants to be more intelligent then the users and changes the content of my text automatically. I want to enter a text which contains a text like "(R)" and this is changed automatically to a circle with an 'R' inside. I do not want this but cannot find any option to switch that off. Is there a way to switch off automatic text changing?

But I do not want PSP to load up yet. How do I stop PSP from loading when I insert my camera card? I cannot find the box I am supposed to uncheck.
I open up either PSPX4 or PSPPX3 and the RAW photos start streaming in looking absolutely beautiful... and then one by one they darken-up and and bland out. This does not happen with my JPEG's. I can then edit them in the Adjust and Edit tabs to lighten them up. Makes me wonder if my codecs are messed up... however a complete reinstall of Win 7 64 bit has changed nothing.
Camera is Canon T2i
When I attempt to use the organizer only a few of the files in the folder display a thumbnail in the tray. Most of them show a gray placeholder with an X in the center. If I wait a very long time (several hours), it occasionally will finish updating all of the photos in the folder but not every time. If I exit PSP it seems to close OK but it is still chewing up CPU cycles (17%) and I have to shut down the process in Task Manager if I want to try and re-open the program.
I thought it was just the RAW NEF files from my Nikon D7000 but when I go back a few years and look at the images from my D40 it hangs as well.
I've tried a re-installation but that did not change anything, it still hangs after displaying a few thumbnails.
I posted a gallery, but having problems with inserting thumbnails to my post. i did read the pictorium posting tips, but none seem to work.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI am using a Nikon D7000 and shooting in RAW format. Recently, I took some time exposures of Niagara Falls at night, to capture the colors and the lighting on the falls.
When I view the files in the media tray, everything looks alright. However, if I select a photograph to look at more closely, , some sort of automatic brightness adjustment is taking place which brightens my foreground and washes out the color on the main part of my image. This process changes the histogram of the photo. When I move to Express Lab or Full Editor and choose "Smart Photo Fix", and reset various settings to "Original", it doesn't bring the photo back to its original appearance, so clearly there are other settings that have been automatically adjusted as well.
I've looked into the Preferences menus, but can't find anything that will turn off this automatic adjustment process.
Now that I've upgraded to X6 64 bit, my windows 8 explorer does not show .pspimage thumbnails.

Previously ran PSP 9 and PSP X1. All was FINE with thumbnails in Windows Explorer.
Purchased and installed PSP X5
It seem to be doing some hatchet job on pspimage files that I've had stored for several YEARS on this computer. These are files I have NOT opened in X5.
They are showing up as icons for PSP X5 although they were created with earlier versions of the program.
I NEVER authorized any type of conversion. Why would I?
And how do I get the view back without having to install any other program since the view was FINE before installing X5?
Any plug-in for making thumbnails from a folder?
I often need to take a CD of images (JPEG /TIFF / PNG etc.) for a website and I need to create thumbnails of each for a web gallery.
Typically I will see between 20 and 50 images at a time and it is very laborious to manually load into photopaint, resize, save-as with a tn_ prefix etc. and I was hoping for a way to automate this.
When I create images for my web sites in X4, upload them into Expression Web, insert them into the page and use the thumbnail tool, the thumbnails appear badly pixelated, as though they were posterized. This did not happen when using PSP8. I save my images for the web as 72 DPI, uncompressed JPEGs. There must be something different about the images output from X4 and those output from PSP8. Image info doesn't show anything suspect.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed PSP X6 Ulitimate and when I first pulled it up I saw Instant Effects Thumbnails under the Adjust Tab. I experimented with a few then had to get off. When I reopened the program all the thumbnails were gone. No matter what I do I can't get the Instant Effects to show up in any of the tabs. Sometimes I'll scroll the mouse over the area, click it, and the photo will have one of the instant effects applied, e.g. black and white. That doesn't do me any good because I can't see what is being applied before clicking if the thumbnails aren't showing. how to get the instant effects to show back up?

I saw where others are having the same problem. Some are and some aren't. As long as I leave the custom made nibs loaded they display and spray correctly. If I load the default nibs or any other nibs then go back and load the custom nibs..that's when I get the black dots. I've remade my nibs several times thinking I did something wrong but that's not the problem.

I am investigating the use of Photoshop to count discreet objects in a complex image. The various selection tools do a good job of automatically selecting the objects, which do not overlap, but I cannot find a count of the number. I'm using PHE 7. Does the facility exist in this version?

Since collections like for example the LayerTable have no Count property (as far as I can see, that is), I'm doing the following to get at the number of items:

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using GIMP to count the number of birds in a colony by putting a round spot on each bird using the airbrush tool. This works fine as I can size the spot to suit and alter the opacity to leave some detail. But I need to be able to count the number of spots! This should only count the spots and not every time I adjust the viewable part of the photo to keep spotting! An addon to the GIMP program would be wonderful.
