Need to export all my .cdr in several hundred folders, out to .jpg with matching file name and -1 -2 for page listings, but I want to keep the same folder structure but put it in a folder Next my CDR folder.
I have a file that has 30 pages. I want to export each page as a jpg having a resolution of 200dpi. Using File>export option 30 times is a time consuming and cumbersome process. Is there a quick way to do it. Like I give a command for 30 jpegs export and corel makes 30 jpeg files for me for each corresponding page?
I found a script that does the job, export tones of ai files to pdf, but I have some files which are in sub folders, and I was trying to find a way to modify this script to include subfolder, but no luck.
Adobe permits you to use, modify, and distribute this file in accordance with the termsof the Adobe license agreement accompanying it. if you have received this file from a source other than Adobe, then your use, modification,or distribution of it requires the prior written permission of Adobe.
This sample gets files specified by the user from the selected folder and batch processes them and saves them as PDFs.
Edits by Patrick Mineault: - only .ai files processed - files saved in same folder as the input files - export files have name (oldname).pdf - PDF settings: editable / acrobatLayers=true for maximum compatibility with Preview

I would like to know if it's possible to export a job script in PP so a batch process can run it after? A sort of script where all the operations on the video would be encoded in a sort of metadata. I am working at ubisoft and we have a lot of video to process and transcode and we use Media encoder and Premier and eventually, we would love to use the multi machine philosphy to optimize our productivity. Does PP or media encoder can be suitable for multi machines operations...maybe something like a cloud?
I have a client who is requesting that I send them ".dwg" files of a particular project. They are asking for both 3D solids AND 2D drawing files.
1.) I can export the assembly files to a 3D DWG easy enough but how do I do it for 83 files using task scheduler or something; I cannot figure it out?
2.) We have used ".dwg" as our native drawing format because we have people here who have a need to open our IV drawings using AutoCAD. Can I just send my client these files, without the supporting part files, and have them open them?
3.) If I just send them a copy of our native ".dwg" files are they going to be able to re-use that geometry somehow? There isn't a real IP concern as these are just pipe supports and platforms made from available steel shapes but I certainly wouldn't want them to be able to take our work and re-use it on a different project without us. If they have to do some crazy stuff like explode and scale and re-dimension these things in order for them to be re-usable on a different project, I would at least prefer that to them just being able to reuse them easily. I guess what I'm saying is that if they are going to re-use this content, I am not going to make it easy for them that's for sure!

I am trying to make a lisp to export to dgn for use in a batch. I have tried the following but get hung up at an "invalid path" error. I think I am not passing to -dgnexport a path in the correct format.
As the title says I am running a AI -> JPG export through the batch action process and my files are saved without an extension. ie. "file" not "ai", "jpg", "png" etc.
However, yes adding the extension manually or through third party software results in a perfect jpg as I required but that step should not be needed. What am I missing?
Oh, and yes I have tried to change the destination folder to something completely empty to avoid duplicate issues but I still get the same result. If I run the simple "Export" portion of my action the file is exported with a file extension without issue, only it fails that step when running the batch process.
(Also i've used photoshop batch process for years so I do have some knowledge that i'm doing this correctly but this is my first attempt with Illustrator.)
My question is, does Videostudio X5 have the capabilities to either:
A) Batch convert while using one or more of the FX B) Export multiple clips in one go from the timeline?
I have 120+ short video clips that I need to crop to a different size. I've figured out how to crop them to the size I need by using the "Croping" function in the FX. There seems to be no way however to apply this to all the clips at once in the Batch Convert.
The only way I can do it is to import all of the individual clips to the timeline and then export them individually...one at a time....taking a lot of my time. I notice they all retain their same file names in the timeline. Isn't there a way I can select all of them at once and export them with their individual file names all in one go (with any FX I've added)?
I edited an online video dictionary (about 7,500 five second clips) and have them all in sequences in Premiere pro CC waiting to be exported. I hae been battling for two weeks now day in and day out to try and export... I am limited to batch exporting this project and have never had problems with adobe softwares in five years ( a great track record). I have tried many ways of importing or exporting the sequences to Media Encoder CC, and have experienced crashes every single export attempt. As soon as I add more than 5-10 clips the program crashes when I start the que. I badly need to deliver this product, any patch that will keep ME from crashing when you add more than a couple clips?
>ap alterations. I have collected many (over 100k) screeenshots of census data. In the interest of not using the actual captures (intelectual property restrictions), I have extracted the data alone to a new multi layered file with each address as its own layer. Some have 1 person, some have 200 people.
Can I export each layer to file in such a way that the canvas will not be the 75 inch canvas in the parent image? I needed to use such a large transparent background because population density is very high. Is ther an autodetect feature?
I have a around 500 cdr(corel draw ) files, and each pages have around 20 images in it.
so what i do. select every single image on the pages then using convert bitmap option to save them on my computer. That consume my whole time in saving them to my computer.
Is there any fast option available to select all images at once and convert to bitmap 20 images and save in a number say 1,2 ...20
I created an Action to batch export a folder of .ai files to create 300dpi .png's of the .ai file's artboard. I did this by simply recording "Export...as png" with my desired settings then Batch running the Action on desired folder of .ai files. The files were successfully exported, the trouble is that the exported files lack a .png file extension. My intent is to take these PNG files and merge them into a single PDF using Acrobat Pro. Unfortunatly, without the .PNG extension, Acrobat Pro does not recognize the file types and does not let me use the Combine Files feature on them. Going back and manually adding a .png at the end of the exported files defeats the time-saving purpose of Batch Processing all together. Is there something I am missing or doing incorrectly? I have included screenshots of 1) My Batch Action settings 2) folders showing files without .png extension and 3) visual of what I see when I am trying to combine PNGs into a PDF.
Win 8.1 64 bit A Toshiba Satellite laptop, LR 5.3. When I try to export I get a window without export buttons at the bottom to do the export. Further if I try to resize the export window the export window disappears and LR freezes requiring to ctrl/alt/del to close it. I cannot export anything to HD or email, etc.
I was in a class last night where everyone had Macs and the buttons appeared on their versions and worked fine. Totally repeatable. I can supply screen shots.
I've created various snapshots of a series of photos and I'm ready to export. Is there a way to export all the snapshots at once, in a single export step? Up to now, I've been doing this step by step, exporting one version of the image, than going to the next snapshot and exporting again.
If I run the action on one file, it works perfect. If I try to run it as a batch, it creates the bmp files fine. But it also creates either a .ai file, or two .eps files!
Writing one or two extra files signifiantly shows the process down.
After I run the batch it is not hard to simply delete the extra .eps/ai files of course.
But writing those files seriously slows the process down, and I have about 89,000 more files to go.
When I use the pdf plot drivers from AutoCAD or the export to pdf option the resulting pdf is not available to the other computer trying to access it through a shared folder.
When I plot to pdf with batch plot or export the drawing to pdf and save the file in the shared folder, the other computer can not open the pdf (file not found) or attach the file to an email (you do not have permission)
Why is this? All other files share and open fine. Only pdf files from batch plot, plot to dwg to pc3, or export to pdf. This is a pain and I still have to use another plot driver (cutepdf) to get a fully useable pdf for our office.
I know that I am being really obtuse, but batch renaming a set of files really eludes me.My Canon 5D2 has now taken over 20000 images, so I want to place a number before the present file number.eg _MG_2459.CR2 to _MG_022459.CR2. This is easily done in Bridge, but I cannot workout how to do such a simple thing in Lightroom.
I imported a batch of RAW images into Lightoom 4.4 and see that a number of the images are displaying the icon warning that metadata has been changed in Lightroom although the affected images have only just been imported into the catalog and I have not made any changes to them. 130 images out of a batch of 300 are being affected.
I have selected the affected images and re-read the metadata using Metadata / Read Metadata from File, but within a couple of minutes of being re-read, the metadata changed icon has reappeared.
My initial thoughts were that I had changed one of the preferences and something was being automatically applied, but if that was the case then I would have expected it to be applied to all 300 images in the batch which were taken on the same day on a single camera. I've created a smart collection to identify images with metadata changed in Lightroom and find that they appear to be randomly spread through the catalog affecting both RAW images and jpegs from 3 different cameras.
In order to exclude any changes to Lightroom preferences I may have made, I installed Lightroom 4.1 on another PC and created a new catalog using the default settings. I then imported the same batch of 300 RAW images and confirmed that the same ones displayed the warning icon that metadata was changed in Lightroom .
The PCs are Windows 7 Professional, Lightroom 4.4 (Lightroom 4.1 on the test PC), RAW files are from Nikon D90 and D7100 cameras.
So I have an action that I've been using for the past couple years (?) now that involves opening an image, applying an auto color and auto levels, saving and closing. This has been working for me since probably a couple years ago when I made the action. Yesterday, I was working on a scanning project where I have groups of images in separate folders. I ran the action on the first 2 folders which went fine.
When I got to the 3rd folder all the way up to the last one, PS just loads all the images, does the levels and color then fails to save/close them when done. On one of my folders, it gets through a few of them when it drops the ball and just opens all of them. I'm not sure what's going on as there's no real explanation as to why this is happening.. especially when I've been using this action (and I even made a new action with still no luck). Last week I had about 300 images I had to work with and PS decided to pull this move on me after doing the first 30 of them fine...which is when I first noticed this happening.
To further add, I set my action to show everything step by step and it seems to happen with select images (in some cases, these select images are entirely what is in the folder). With the select images, it is not doing the actions entirely in order. Typically it does it in this manner:
1-Levels 2-Levels 3-Save 4-Close
What I'm now experiencing is this:
2-Levels 1-Levels
(Skips 3 and 4 since it is starting at 2 and working upward).
I imported more 2,000 pictures. Then I did one batch change (adjusting the curve (tonality) by Lightroom).
But it looks like, only on the page, I actually see, the previews are updated.
If go to the next page of 24 pictures. At first I see the old preview. Then the CPU and hard drive activity is increasing and picture by picture the preview is updated. So I've to wait 15 seconds, until I can decide, if the settings of the pictures are a good start or not. And then I've to page again and wait 15 seconds
I expect, that Lightroom does it: in backgroundin parallel and not only one picture by picture (15 seconds are cause by sequencially processing; I've an Intel i7 with 4 cores and 3.6 GHz, it's not the slowest machine, but Lightroom only use up to 25% of my whole CPU resources. how I should be able to handle a mass of pictures, if I have to page and wait always.
Is there any magic shurtcut, command, setting, to enforce such an auto update?
Can you enable the lens profile settings for more than one image at a time? If multiple images were imported and the same lens was used for all of them can you batch process them without having to do one image at a time?
I'm getting ready to build a new PC, and I'm trying to plan out how to move my LR catalog/images.
The problem is that since I've been upgrading my current PC for years and moving user data since XP. The result is that my LR catalog expects some older images to be in c:documents and settings... XP-style, others in c:usersxxx when I moved to Vista, and others in d:usersxxx when I moved my user data to a bigger hard drive. The images are actually all in one location, and there are various OS mappings that make it all work.
I'd like to avoid all this mess with my new setup. Is there a way to essentially do "update folder location" on many folders at once? Unfortunately, they are top-level and don't have a parent folder I could do that to.
