Lightroom :: Specify Begin And End Exposure Adjustment On Gradient Tool?
Nov 10, 2011Is there a way to specify the begin and end exposure adjustment on the gradient tool?
What I really want to do is apply an even exposure adjustment to the bottom section of an image. There's a hard line where I want the adjustment to begin, so I don't really need a gradient. I know I can do this with the adjustment, but that requires passing the brush over a large section of the image and, of course, being very careful in lining the edge of the brush up with the edge of what I want to lighten. I'd like to be able to put a line across the image and say "lighten everything below this line" by x amount.
Lightroom :: Adjustment Brush And Gradient Filter Do Not Work Anymore In 4.3?
Mar 10, 2013A couple of days ago, The exact same thing started happening with LR3.6. I was hoping updating would do the trick but the exact same thing takes place. With an adjustment brush, when clicking on the image, it, the image, disappears as soon as I click on it. Same thing with gradient filter, the image disappears when I start dragging. Switching to the Library Module, my image is still there. For my image to reappear I have to select another image and go back to my initial image. Even then, I am still "holding" my brush even though my "Tools Strip" is not open. To get rid of the brush, I have to select it AND deselect it for it to disappear.Only then I can do further editing on that particular file that does not involve brush and/or gradient filter. Everything else seems to be working properly. This never happened until 3 days ago and I did not download any new program.

Lightroom :: Move Brush Adjustment - Copy Settings
Aug 19, 2013For example you take 2 shots of a model, but with slightly different position, it sucks having to redraw a whole new brush on the next photo. Would be great to be able to sync then just drag the brush pin into place. Like how you can with the radial fand ND filter. And it would be awesome to be able to copy the settings of one, and the paste them onto another pin on another area or another photo.Right now its so time consuming having to sync brush adjustments, erase them, then repaint where I want the same settings applied to a different part of another picture.
Second, need to be able to select multiple or all pins, to be able to move them at the same time. Same for for the ND, radial, spot healing pins.
Third, we need to be able to copy brush settings via right clicking the pin, as well as maybe in the brush panel at the top so its something like like:
Mask: New | Edit | Copy | Paste
Lightroom :: Edit Copy With Adjustment Suddenly Stopped Working
Feb 4, 2013I have been using lightroom 3.4 and photoshop CS6 for sometime. However suddenly I cant move images from lightroom to photoshop (Ctrl+E) with the "Edit a copy with lightroom adjustment".
When I click this option, it opens the Photoshop. But doesnt open the image. However the other two options "edit a copy" and "Edit original" works fine.
Also when i add photoshop again as another external editor, it works fine. But as you all are aware this create another copy of the image.
What I did I checked the applications path for photoshop and it was correct. I uninstalled lightroom and reinstalled.

Jan 21, 2014I have been working on a file in photoshop cs5 that had come from lightroom 5.3. This was then saved (automatically becomes tiff file in Lightroom). I then wanted to make some more adjustments to it in lightroom (using local adjustment clarity). I then tried to copy the settings of the adjustment brush from the tiff to the original raw file. This is where it gets very strange. The adjustments are copied but they are rotated ccw by 90 degrees! I can replicate this every time.

Jun 19, 2004I have an action that creates an adjustment layer (curves) which stops and prompts you to load the saved curves file.
If I double click that step to edit, I can load the "saved" curves file and it will run flawlessly. BUT...if I move the curves file or share this action with someone, the action will no longer function since the saved path is incorrect.
Is there any way to open up the saved curves file and just write that into the action? There are a lot of settings and I would have a very hard time recreating the curves adjustment from scratch.

Jul 17, 2012When I try to use the adjustment brush by selecting the brush, the sliders shown for the brush change the complete photograph, which I do not want it to do. When I use the brush it makes changes. But, if I make a slider change that I want for the brush it actually changes the complete photograph. It has worked properly in the past. Jul 7, 2012In Develop, when preparing to use the Adjustment Brush, first I adjust the size of the brush. I slide my cursor along the Size slider and the displayed adjacent "sample brush" varies in size. Next, I move the cursor into the field of the image. When the cursor crosses over into the image field, the circle indicating brush size changes; it gets larger by roughly 25%. I have been using the adjustment brush now for what seems like 2 or 3 years, but I can't recall it changing size before. Is this normal? 2 screenshots: a) the cursor(sadly not reproduced in the screenshots) hovers at the slider; b) The cursor is moved to the image field, and the Adjustment brush circle has increased in size.
Mac OS 10.7.4(current), Macbook Pro w/ NEC external mon., 2.8GHz, 8GB ram on 2 cores, Catalog on internal HDD, Library on external HDD, LR 4.1, Nikon raw files.

Dec 29, 2012I have an Eizo external monitor connected to my MBP and use the external for editing. I have been doing so for a couple years now and with all versions of Lightroom (even 4.2). I have always been able to see the changes/edits real-time on the external monitors when adjusting something with one of the LR sliders. Ever since I installed the latest LR update (4.3)- I don't see changes realtime. I have to wait until I let go of the mouse/slider to see the changes/adjustments.

Oct 11, 2012I am using LR 4.2 and I have a question about the non-destructive editor, specifically the use of adjustment brushes. After I work with an adjustment brush and then go on with my editing I can't figure out how to make tweaks to what was darn earlier on the adjustment brush area. With all the other editing functions I can change something and then later make a change. For example, I can set -10 highlights and then later I can change it to -15 highlights and then later change it to something else. With things I have done with adjustment brushes though I haven't figured out the technique to do that. If I select adjustment brush and then click on the area that I had earlier changed with an adjustment brush it doesn't seem to reselect that area so that I can tweak it. Is there a way to go back and tweak areas selected with an adjustment brush?

Jan 16, 2014With Adobe tech support, I consolidated my LR 2.7 catalog with LR 5 catalog. But when I opened up the older photos in LR5, I had only the L2 2.7 Adjustments available.
Do I need to reimport the older photos? I thought that an yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it would show up to update. Is 2.7 too far a leap to LR5?
