View 1 RepliesI have started offering the option to buy high resolution pictures to cd. File Settings, Image Size, Output Sharpening - so many boxes and not sure which to check or leave unchecked A couple of the pictures I cropped to 4x6 but the others are all the original as I shot them.

So I want to export a folder from LR onto one of my external hard drives however when I click to export my only choice is Desktop. I can open that "tree" as far as it goes but it NEVER shows Computer so I can select which external hard drive to export files to as a backup.
When I go to explorer from the start menu I can see all my files in Explorer including Computer with my external drive just not in LR.
I have restarted my computer, I have tried two different hard drive thinking it just might not recognize one of the drives but that isn't it either.
I have had this problem in the past and haven't been able to figure why sometimes I see my Computer and other times all I see is Desktop as an export option.
I changed the resolution on a photo to 500 in the export screen. What do I reset it back to for the highest resolution. I changed to 500 to email a photo.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had a simple lisp I've been using for years that suddenly disappeared. It required that you identify a block name, tag name, and the value that you want the tag to be. All of this is performed via command line, so it is scriptable. Since I lost it, I've been experimenting with -attedit. This command comes frustratingly close to what I'm looking for, except it only appends an existing tag, or replaces a specific string within the tag; I can't get it to replace the entire tag, regardless of its value.
1> Any lisp routine that does what I describe?
or
2> How to make -attedit replace a tag value without regard to what the value currently is (like a * wildcard)?
If I open a jpg with a 72.000 dpi image in Gimp, remove background and save as a transparent png, the next time I open the transparent png in Gimp the dpi is 72.009! and if the jpg has a dpi of 150 it becomes 150.012 dpi in the png when I next open in in Gimp!
why is Gimp slightly changing the dpi resolution in my png files?
I have a screen capture video which is 1024x768. I want to edit it and export as .mp4 in its same resolution--1024x768. You would think this would be easy, but it's grayed out. I tried Settings, create a custom export format and it was grayed out there too. How do I export my 1024x768 video as 1024x768 .mp4?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm sitting here with a projekt, where it would be great to be able to put a specific code on some specific materials. So we are able to export it to a calculation program and use the material parameters.
To give a quick example, i have this 400mm thick wall, with 200mm concrete and 200mm bricks. If i give this wall a code, a keynote or a custom parameter, im able to export it without any problems. But my wall will be shown as one wall in my calculation program, and that makes sense ofc.
But is it somehow possible to make a specific code for each layer of material? Lets say i wanna make one price for my bricks, and one price for the concrete. To do that i need to know the specific amount of concrete and so on with the bricks.
I know i would be able to find this exact amount, by making a schedule of the wall material, and then sort it by name and area or volume. But these values is kinda dead in a way, since i cant export them directly to my calculation program.
So what would be sweet would be a way to code the specific materials or layers in my walls, so i could export them as two diffrent elements, and make two diffrent prices. One for the concrete and one for the bricks.
I need to export out of Map into MapInfo. My problem is I need the object data to export out into a specific order. At the moment I can only get it to export in alphabetic order which is no good for me. Is there any way I can reorder the object data into the order I want?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI export pngs almost exclusively from Xara. I have always opened them in PSP and changed the resolution to 118.50 (about 301dpi) so they are print ready.
I have to make over 21,000 arrows (sob) and having to open each and every one of them in PSP is not something I am looking forward to. There is a way to change the png export resolution to something more suited for printing.
I create a new black document with rendering resolution set to 150dpi.
If I export the artwork as JPEG, and check "Maintain Size", I'll get the artwork in correct dimension and resolution. However, if I export as TIFF, the resolution by default is 72dpi, and if I increase the resolution to 150dpi, the dimension reduces accordingly, ending up with a smaller bitmap exported.
I am trying to export .MOV file for resolution 1280x1080 (HD) compression is DVCPRO (for broadcast) server is Harris. And i m making a project on the 1280x1080 8 bit, field 2, fps 25. and using the file which has size 1280x1080 at 50 P.
So when i export this as .MOV and choose compression DVC pro 1080. it gives me error message, "frame rate and bit dept is not same of the clip and compression u choose
Artwork is done at 5x7in, i want to export this as a PNG for print purposes however the more i increase the ppi the bigger the pixel size. I want to export it at a high resolution but keep the pixel size to 500x700.
Is this possible?
Currently to achieve the 500x700 pixel size i change the ppi to 104, if i switch off anti alias then its fine for straight lines and shapes, however if i have a line or shape at an angle it gives these shapes a jagged edge!
why my drawing on illustrator won't export at maximum resolution when a nearly identical drawing can.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat I want to know is if there is a way to make a hotkey or at all save specific options for specific tools. Let's say I'm using the 'Paintbrush, Opacity 70%, Hardness 075, Size 4.00' as my "standard outline tool". Can I some how save that preference (and any other tool such as "Specific Eraser Op. 100%, Hard. 100, Size 10.00) so that I can easily switch between "Ouline Brush" and "Specific Eraser" . Maybe to the 'f-buttons'
I'd like to be able to make maybe 5 specific tools:-Outline Brush
-Small Eraser
-Big Eraser
-Detailed Color brush
-Big Color Brush.
Im using Autocad Structural Detailing 2013. Its is possible to make specific command to start at specific layers?

I'm trying to create a high resolution version of a low resolution texture used in a game. I've found a pattern that I think is acceptable, from a real image. Now the question is this: how can I colorize the large image to that it is as resemblant as possible to the original one? I've tryed a simple colorize, but the result is not so good...

Win 8.1 64 bit A Toshiba Satellite laptop, LR 5.3. When I try to export I get a window without export buttons at the bottom to do the export. Further if I try to resize the export window the export window disappears and LR freezes requiring to ctrl/alt/del to close it. I cannot export anything to HD or email, etc.
I was in a class last night where everyone had Macs and the buttons appeared on their versions and worked fine. Totally repeatable. I can supply screen shots.
Makes LR totally useless.
I've created various snapshots of a series of photos and I'm ready to export. Is there a way to export all the snapshots at once, in a single export step? Up to now, I've been doing this step by step, exporting one version of the image, than going to the next snapshot and exporting again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI realize the nature of my question maybe asking the impossible, but I have a low res image I downloaded from the internet, placed in an InDesign page, blew it up and printed it out. I was going for the distressed look that it has, it looks ok when I print it out considering it's low res and I blew it up fairly large. However, it's a little too pixelated to look professional when printed. Are they any tricks or things I can do to make it look higher res for print. I've attached the image as well as a screenshot of the InDesign file so you can see it in context.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm working with the editor to ascertain exactly what format he wants these images in. The film is being shot with HD video, and the editor keeps telling me he wants the images in the "absolute native Pixel dimensions of the RAW image".
I shot raw images with a canon 5D Mark II, so technically, I believe this would be approximately 5,616 x 3,744 (of course, this would vary for each image, but this is the data I have read about the camera sensor).
I shot about 1,000 images, so to deliver 1,000 images, output as TIFF's, at something like 4,000 pixels.
For the print module it seems as if Lightroom assumes a screen resolution of 96 ppi. My screen is 94 ppi, so the ruler and the prints are shown slightly smaller on the screen than reality. I would like to see the actual print size on the screen. Can the screen resolution be set, like the Unit & Rulers -> Screen Resolution setting in PS?
I am using LR 3.6.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to crop to a specific dimension? I have a 3888x2592 image and would like to crop it to 2400x1600. Problem I am having is I can get it to 2388x1589 or 2420x1619 or finally after many tries (over a minute of attempting) got it to 2399x1599. Is there any way to FORCE it to a specific dimension?
Also, on export I know you can resize an image, but are you able to apply a resize within lightroom itself?
I had outsourced some edits, and they sent some back via xmp, and others that were outside LR as JPG. As usual, the xmp files worked great. I had created a subfolder in one of my collections to add the jpg edits, and LR will not allow me to import!
