In my mac I see everything perfect the thunbnails in lightroom looks fine, but when I upload my images online the image thumbnails is desaturated.

I have recently installed Lightroom 3 on a different computer and am unable to see the images that are imported.Currently I am seeing them as gray boxes with no image viewable. They are not showing as a broken image or link missing.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI would edit some light work on my images and then export it into a folder. It would look fine and have all the features that I edited. Whenever I upload it to other places, it wouldn't take the edits I made and it shows up as the orginal image or maybe a darkened version of it (I'm not sure). The only place that actually takes my edited images as edited, is 500px. For facebook, there were times when I uploaded and it didn't take my edits, but when I exported the image again to a higher resolution of Jpeg, facebook would take the edits.
I wanted to print some photos so I uploaded them to costco or shutterfly, but the images are not the way I edited in Lightroom.
When I upload images from Photoshop cs6 or lightroom 4.4, the uploaded images appear greenish and flat wehn compared to the original images.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI like using the Flickr uploader through Lightroom (I have 4) to keep my Flickr images up to date. I have taken to adding a copyright to my images, but have become involved in a project that requires a different copyright for select images. Is it possible to use the uploader service to add one copyright to some images while adding a different one to other images? Or do I have to export images and then manually upload them to Flickr? I would rather not do that, if possible, just because I wouldn't have the added benefit of being able to have image metadata and edits automatically update in Flickr as I do them in Lightroom.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOur vacation pictures were on IPAD2. I accessed them and thought I was uploading them when I imported them to Lightroom3. I made panoramas and all in photoshop too. My husband asked if the images had been uploaded and I said yes. So he did synched and the update on the IPAD effectively erasing all those images. Now I find that these awesome images were not synched or imported to the computer, but just to lightroom thumbnails. Heartbroken! I can still see the thumbnails in Lightroom... My card has been formated twice since then. I don't think I can recover them there. Is it possible that there is a program that can recover those images to .jpgs from the thumbnails?
View 3 Replies View RelatedTime and time again, I have come across the issue where the thumbnail being displayed in the grid view and loupe view is not of the image itself, but of some other image. So far, the thumbnail is typically from the same folder or collection and can be either from an image that still exists or from one that I've rejected and deleted from disk previously.
If I go into develop mode, the correct image gets displayed, but the thumbnail rarely resets itself.
I've deleted the cache on previous occasions to have LR recreate the thumbnails, but I never know when I'm going to encounter this issue.
This becomes a paint when I am delete unwanted images. If the thumbnail is incorrect on my second or third pruning, I could actually lose an image I intended to keep.
I'm running Lightroom 5.3 from CC.
It seems that deleting the cache every day--maybe even several times a day--is a bit overkill, but seems to be the only way to deal with this problem.
I occasionaly edit nudes on my home computer, where my kids have access. Is there a way to keep these images hidden, their location hidden or have them not show in the library thumbnails?
View 5 Replies View RelatedLR4 seems to have a bug when importing images from a camera where it randomly does not display a thumbnail of the image before invoking the import process. Usually it is whole blocks of images following a few that are properly shown. Perhaps it is dropping the communication link to the camera early?
Furthermore, once the images are imported, different images are not displayed in the thumbnail panel with filters off.
I have been doing identical import procedures on all previous versions of LR without any similar behavior.

I have been having a problem lately with my images displaying funky when they are uploaded to the web. The images become over saturated. The color space is sRGB so I am not sure what is going on. I never have had this problem till this year. I use lightroom, then export the image and finish editing the image in photoshop. When I export from Lightroom I pick srgb color space.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a blog and everything for it (header, banners, etc.) is made in Photoshop and up until yesterday it was all fine. But yesterday I wanted to try to put a scanned picture for my header - which on my computer looks white, but on the web it looked gray, so I decided to go back to what I had.
When I uploaded my old header it now looked blue/gray-ish, very pixelated and really strange. When I tilted my screen (laptop computer) I could see some weird edges around the shapes that I had on that header. I ulso tried uploading to Picasa web albums but the same thing happens.
I tried also making another image in Photoshop to test it out - it was white with big spots in green colour and when uploaded I could see the edges of the entire image even though it was white (it didn't blend with the rest of the background like it used to), and when I tilted my screen I saw pink edges around those big dots and it looked all fuzzy almost like it's moving (like on those very old TV's when you lose an image and it's snowy looking).
I am fairly new to Corel, and I have been using the program to do a lot of icons to load onto a webpage.
Every time I upload an image, it blurs the edges around the text and the color looks distorted.
I am in the process of completing my Photographic website and need to make thumbnail and larger sizes for the the site. The site will have approximately 100 images on it. Clicking the thumbnails will connect to the larger images. How do I make both sizes in PS CS? Perhaps their is a generator that you would recommend for Mac 10.2?

For instance, 3 days ago I uploaded a bunch of photos with their original filenames intact.. ie DSF1000 etc.
In Flickr I changed the filename to something more meaningful.
Yesterday, in LR, I selected 2 photos from the same batch of previously uploaded photos after modifying in Lightroom.
LR reuploaded all the same photos again..with the original file names (which I'd changed in Flickr) which meant Flickr comments and the view count was reset to 0.
Most the the Creative Suite misbehaves with respect to the Windows 7 taskbar. One behavior that's particularly unproductive is seeing a bunch of gray icons for open application windows, and having the associated full size peek image grayed out too. I frequently work with many open image windows that I prefer to keep undocked. If they're minimized, more often than not there's a gray taskbar preview.
Once I click on the thumbnail and activate a window, the thumbnail taskbar image updates. But when I switch between applications, the updated thumbnails will usually go blank next time I peek at the PS6 taskbar.
I make regular use of a Flash image gallery that requires me to provide small square 50 x 50px thumbnails whatever the shape of the original images. The only solution I have found so far is to first manually sort my original images into landscape and portrait folders and then run a different action on each folder to create the thumbnails.
Is there any way to design an action that would work equally well on both landscape and portrait images?
When I create images for my web sites in X4, upload them into Expression Web, insert them into the page and use the thumbnail tool, the thumbnails appear badly pixelated, as though they were posterized. This did not happen when using PSP8. I save my images for the web as 72 DPI, uncompressed JPEGs. There must be something different about the images output from X4 and those output from PSP8. Image info doesn't show anything suspect.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've recently installed X4 (running it on Windows 7) and for some reason when I open the scrapbook I can't preview any of the thumbnails - they just appear as a generic symbol (see below). How do I change this so that I can view the thumbnails properly?
I've also changed the settings so that once a bitmap has been inserted, I should be able to double-click to open the bitmap in Photo paint - but this doesn't work either!
Just installed X6 and tried CONNECT for the first time and it doesn't display the thumbnails of the vector images only bitmaps etc.. Any way to correct that?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm running Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and Lightroom 3.4.1 with Camera Raw 6.4.1.I like to convert to DNG when I bring in the RAW files from my Panansonic DMC-GH2 camera.
OS X Finder will show thumbnails and previews of the original RAW files; however after Lightroom converts the RAW files to DNG, the DNG files have no thumbnail or preview images in the Finder ... just the DNG icon.
Is there some Lightroom or Snow Leopard setting I can tinker to fix this? My import/convert settings are thus:
File Extension: DNG
Compatibility: Camera Raw 5.4 and later
JPEG Preview: Medium Size
Embed Original Raw File is UNCHECKED
No thumbnails in library or develop modules. I have trashed the preference file (3x)- no effect. If I drag a gray square, a very small thumbnail shows up-but,alas, it disappears. I have filters turned off. CC photoshop works fine as does Bridge. No question marks visible on files in LR. All files I am using are on a exterior HD. However, I tried downloading new photos from a card reader-same result no thumbnails.

Using LR 3.3 on a Mac with Snow L. My catalog shows 72 images in a ceertain folder, but only 8 actually show as thumbnails. I therefore have no access (in LR) to the other 64. If I search for one of them by name, it can't find it. If I try to re-import them, LR shows them as already imported.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just moved my Lightroom catalog to a new PC. I designated the new folder correctly and have no lost files but my thumbnails only show when I scroll to them in Library. If I go to a new position, I have to wait for them to refresh (create?). I have optimized the catalog several times. Is there an easy way to refresh them all? I have plenty of memory, computer speed, and Lightroom expertise.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter two days I finally got my images into Lightroom.
But everytime I go to a folder, Lightroom rebuilds the thumbnails, even if I have just been to that folder. As I scroll down the thumbnails, Lightroom lags as I see thumbnails appear and come into focus again, even afer I have been in that folder several times. I have NOT changed the size of the thumbnails.
My hard drive is constatly grinding when in Lightroom. Also, most of these images are JPGs and not RAW.
PC Specs:
Windows 7i5 Processor, 6GB RAM
1GB HDD, .5GB free
Lightroom settings:
JPEG Preview: Medilum size
Embed Fast Lad Data is checked
Just updated 5.2 (win7 x64) All my collections show, but everything in the library is blank. Develop also shows just grey?
