Lightroom :: Screen Flickering - Picture Will Disappear Then Reappear?

I'll be working on a photo in the develop mod and after making a change the picture will disappear then reappear - kind of like a flickering. It doesn't do it everytime but often enough. If I close the program and restart it this typically works.
Win 7 64x
i7 940 quad
16 meg of ram
nVidia 285 GTX
I should have plenty of horsepower to run this program. I still have Lightroom 3 on the computer and don't have this problem.

I was watching a video on YouTube on how to make an explosion. However, the video is not very useful. The part I am stuck on is when he makes a "patch" of the texture in the driveway, and then he covers up his explosive box. After that, he copies the box and is able to make appear and dissapear.
The part of the video I don't understand is at 1 minute, 22 seconds.

Occassionaly when editing in LR3 - final, the whole screen flickers off then on very quickly (Less than a second). I've only seen this effect when using lightroom 3, i.e. it doesn't happen at any other time.
System is a no-name PC, with AMD dual core 64 bit, Windows 7 64 bit, LR3 64 bit, 4GB ram, ATI Radeon X1200 graphics (On-Board).

if anyone had any clue what might be causing this problem. I recently purchased a new notebook PC, and loaded my old copy of Photoshop 7 onto it. When I open a document and work on it, I get a periodic, very random white flicker on the document. I'm trying to draw on CS6 and the screen keeps flickering Black, I've tried to switch off using the graphics card and switching to Basic mode, that hasn't worked.

[URL] screen flicker in Photoshop CS6 when using any of the larger brush type tools (cloning, eraser, brush, spot healing, burning, and dodging). The flicker is screen wide black boxes, sometimes the whole screen goes black. It only seems to happen when we put the cursor over the image to edit.
Hardware: MacBook Air 13", Haswell 1.7 GHz, 8GB, 512 SSD Software:
Photoshop CS6 v13.1.2 20130105.r.224, OS X v10.8.4 (and perhaps others)
Looks like a CS6 is not compatible with the new MacAir.

When rendering a Video, first AE is ultra-slow, then the Screen starts to flicker, then several AE Icons appear in the Taskbar and than it freezes...
System: Windows 8 on Intel i7 3930 with 32GB Ram, 2TB SSD and AMD Radeon HD 7970m... latest drivers installed...

I looked through the discussion groups and couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for. Our office recently upgraded their server. Since this happened, my dual monitor blinks when highlighting objects or zooming in and out. Plus, it adds extra menu bars (gray horizontal bars).

I was editing a photo in Lightroom 5 the other day, and I thought I hit something, but all of a sudden the basic panel was missing. Suggestion was to right click on one of the panels and it should have an option that says basic, in order to get the basic panel back. That is what I did, but what it does is just opens and closes the panels. I don't know how to get my basic panel back.

Up until now lightroom has behaved perfectly, now when i make an adjustment in the develop screen, the picture just goes grey. If i switch to library then back I get the picture back in the develop screen with adjustments made. This means that I cannot see to make fine adjustments. I have reloaded from lightroom4.4 all the way back upto lightroom 5 and there is no difference.is there a setting i have accidently changed?

When I want to insert a Block it disapear from the screen, same thing if I do copy with base point it disappear when I paste it. It's an existing DWG, some one worked on it few month ago, in a new file I don't have any problem.
I use AutoCAD MEP 2011.

Editing attributed blocks causes them to disappear from the screen. Edits include changing attribute values, moving attributes, or moving the entire block. The block is not gone, so saving and re-opening the drawing will display it again, but this is a terrible workaround when moving and editing many blocks in a large drawing.
We do not use annotative or dynamic blocks, so these are just good old-fashioned attributed blocks.This behaviour is being seen on both Windows 7 and older Windows XP systems with various hardware specs, and it is only in the 2013 product. We still have some stations running Map 2012 that do not experience this issue even when working in the same drawings.

Not all the time, but there are times when i am working on an image, generally after I've been working on it in Photoshop. Once it comes back into light room and I want to do just about anything to it everything goes dark and comes back with the adjustment I just made. Does this when I move the slider or make any adjustment to the image whatsoever.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 for MAC.
When I select content using the crop tool then hit enter (or the green checkmark) the picture just disappears. This happened all of a sudden a few days ago. I can do COMMAND Z to undo and the picture reappears. But every time I crop the picture disappears and the layer thumbnail just turns brown.

What is causing my EG Data Reference Surface to disappear on screen and Profile goes to crap? I've noticed this twice on same project in separate drawings. If I go to Toolspace and synchronize then it appears back on screen.
First dwg: I created a Pump Station Site Plan and data referenced in my surface and pipe network. I save and close then reopen and EG is gone until I synchronize.
Second dwg: I created a Railroad Crossing Exhibit showing plan and profile. I data referenced in my surface and pipe network. Same thing...save, close, reopen and I have to synchronize it to have plan and profile to appear ok.
This isn't good when I have .dsd files that I typically plot my drawing package from. I sent multiple sets of drawings to the plotter and all my Pump Station Site Plans were missing the surface contours. For this sheet, I had to synchronize and send separate plots just to have contours appear.

My Daughter was doing homework on my office computer and somehow deleted my leyers tool on the right side. I have reinstalled Gimp 3 times ...and the only ones that appear to be fully working, are on all the other users, but mine .

I have a web design comp in Photo-Paint X5 with all of my layers nice and organized, and some are hidden. If I edit a text layer, upon exiting the edit all of my hidden layers reappear, but only within a "group". It's very annoying to have to go back and hide all of those layers again.

When you zoom into the picture that's being edited, scrollbars appear but you can scroll only to the edge of the picture, pixel in pixel this way it's pretty hard to capture the edges with selection
How to add a free space to all sides so it will be possible to move edges of the picture to the center of the screen and work with them easily?

I've just started using Photoshop CS6 via Creative cloud. (Before i used a DVD version of CS5)I'm having a weird problem with the liquify filter:When I want to open a picture in the filter it shows only a blue screen... Why? What happened?
At first I thought maybe it couldn't'nt work with the dng format and then I tried opening a jpeg in the liquify filter, same problem.I've had no problems in CS5 and I'm working on the same computer.
