Up until now lightroom has behaved perfectly, now when i make an adjustment in the develop screen, the picture just goes grey. If i switch to library then back I get the picture back in the develop screen with adjustments made. This means that I cannot see to make fine adjustments. I have reloaded from lightroom4.4 all the way back upto lightroom 5 and there is no difference.is there a setting i have accidently changed?
View 2 RepliesI was about to export some photos and realized that I have lost all the develop adjustments I made over a month ago. If I go back to an ealier catalog file from the beginning of October, I see all the adjustments, but it looks like the photos have moved (I get a blank thumbnail with the question mark). Couple questions:
why the develop adjustments are absent from the photos in all my recent catalogs? I always move my photos in LR.Is there anyway to "export" the develop adjustments from the older catalog and associate them to the correct photos in the newest catalog?
What is the keyboard shortcut for going from picture to picture in Develop module?

A few days ago when using the Develop Module, the right side of the screen is missing. On the right are the tools and panels for making global and local adjustments to a photo. Gone. I've tried to control-click on develop across the top of the screen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use the develop module in lr for the first time, I normally use Breezebrowser. in Library mode.I have quick develop options, but in the develop module nothing shows on the right hand side of the screen at all.I have went into presents and ticked all the boxes but the only way I have options to develop are from the library module and that does not show the straigten option which i want. I have hit the D button until its worn out. This has been like this since I installed lr5, I used lr3 previously but only as a method to export images to zenfolio did not use anything apart from import and export. What do I need to do to get the options for the Develop module to show on screen? I have also hit the T for Toolbar several hundred times with no difference.

I can see all the thumbnails and keywords etc in library but when I try to move a picture into develop (or external editor) I get the message "The folder could not be found". The My pictures files on the left hand side are present but not in bold white. How to connect to these later files.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed Lightroom 4. In the develop module, any adjustments will not show in the photo on the screen. The photo frequently will not load onto the screen. If I select crop mode, the photo disappears and the screen turns to gray. If I select before/after, the screen turns to gray. I have read the manual multiple times and have watched the video. I do not see any step that I am omitting or doing incorrectly. Should I uninstall & reinstall the program, or what?

Is there an easy way to create LR develop settings to match the popular Canon styles such as Standard, Portrait and Landscape so that I get approx the same amount of sharpness, contrast, colour balance. Perhaps someone has already done that and they've shared the Lightroom Presets.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've noticed in the past couple of days that I will be refining an image in the develop module, feel I've gotten it the way I want it to look, and then switch back to the library module to export. When I do so, I notice the colors are quite different than they were just a second ago in the develop module. When I switch back to the develop module, it goes back to the way it looked in the develop module. How might I fix this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'll be working on a photo in the develop mod and after making a change the picture will disappear then reappear - kind of like a flickering. It doesn't do it everytime but often enough. If I close the program and restart it this typically works.

I should have plenty of horsepower to run this program. I still have Lightroom 3 on the computer and don't have this problem.
The main develop module controls have disappeared from the develop window. How do I recover them? I'm working with Lightroom 5.3. The missing controls are the sliders for exposure, contrast, clarity, etc. I must have inadvertantly clicked something that made them disappear but nothing I've tried brings them back. I've never had this experience in the years I've been using Lightroom (since version 1.1).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have converted to jpg some .nef from my D800 with Lightroom 4.1 at max sharpening, 150, with Capture NX 2.3.4 with max sharpening set in picture style settings only and ViewNX2 2.5.1 with max sharpening set in picture style only. Have played with other settings in "details box" of LR4.1, radius, details and masking, but the result is about the same. Please, look at this two photos, converted with CaptureNX 2.3.4 and LR 4.1: at bottom the loss of details is noticeable(the palm, the street lamp). With ViewNX2 have the same result.
Fortunately, it does not happen with all the photos, but happens. Happens in particular with the dark photos and night shots. That it is not a matter of contrast.

i have lightroom 4 and would like to upgrade to lightroom five. will i loss any of my files when i upgrade or will the be loaded in automaticly after the upgrade.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI worked on an image in Lightroom, got the contrast and color perfect, and when I went to "Edit in Photoshop" it completely flattened out my photo by darkening most of my lighter areas and it looks awful. Check out the sky in these two images to see what I mean. I have LR3 and CS4.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince a couple of days when I export tiff files to jpeg the exported image looks darker. If I reimport it the histogram is evidently changed.
It looks like something messed up in preferences but I didn't make any changes (at least I didn't do it purposely).
I upgraded to the 4.4 version after this happened but nothing changed.
I keep losing all of my keyboard functions when using tethered capture in Lightroom 4. Only a computer reboot gets the keyboard back.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the last three days, I lost hundreds of treatments. The photos from my folder disappeared with no reason.I have to import them again (they are on the hard drive) and work again on treatments.
I am using LR for years and it is the first time that it happens.
LR4 final seems to have a very annoying bug.
When I select a number of images (in the film strip) and either
1) paste settings that I've previously copied from another image or
2) sync settings from one image to the rest
... the settings are not applied to all the selected images. The settings are only applied to a seemingly random subset of the selected images.
I'm going to try to pin down the exact circumstances that make this occur.

View 3 Replies View Related I've just started using Photoshop CS6 via Creative cloud. (Before i used a DVD version of CS5)I'm having a weird problem with the liquify filter:When I want to open a picture in the filter it shows only a blue screen... Why? What happened?
At first I thought maybe it couldn't'nt work with the dng format and then I tried opening a jpeg in the liquify filter, same problem.I've had no problems in CS5 and I'm working on the same computer.
Using VS2, 16:9 aspect ratio (I believe all the clips are 16:9 720 X 480), with non-square rendering checked,
Looks fine on the computer.
When I burn a DVD the image doesn't fill the TV screen- black border on all four sides. However, one title did extend past the image on the left side.
Sort of like this:
