There are not problems with my RAW files until I put them in lightroom. When they are enlarged to 3:1 ratio they have weird marks on them. They are not pixles, it's a pattern like I have shot it throught a screen. Sometimes the images print with no problems and other times the pattern prints on the image.

I have a part that we will cut out on a CNC plasma machine that will undergo a drilling operation. We create all the parts that will be cut on the plasma in the sheet metal environment because of the simple flat pattern export. Our plasma machine has the ability to scribe lines and also create center punch marks. It distinguishes between cut lines, scribe lines, and center punch marks by layer name. I need a way to get the center points of the drill locations into their own layer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have AutoCad Lt 09 and have just installed Windows 7. Upon installing my AutoCad Lt, my customized toolbars all have clouds with question marks. In the CUI window, the Line button image is nonexistent, in the All Commands menu images don't exist for many of the commands, and many of the untouched menu buttons in default toolbars also have clouds with question marks.

I just installed LR5 and discovered that the pre-defined panel end marks (PanelTerminator) disappeared with the new release (with the exception of one small decorative image). Is this a bug or did Adobe drop this feature (because, perhaps, they discovered that 99% of all users basically disabled the markers anyway)?

How many pixels wide (and yes i know it depends partially on how wide I have the panels set, but for the default settings on the program on a 23" moniter) is best to start with?
View 2 Replies View Relatedi am trying to import a folder of vacation pictures. it has 5000 pictures and there are many subfolders. It imports them where i want but it gives me question marks on all the subfolders. And the subfolders are empty even though it tells me how many pictures are in the folder. I right clicked the question marked folders and point to where they are and it just says they are already there and do i want to merge the folders. In importing i told it to include the subfolders. I have tried this twice and each time the same results. Very frustrating to have to scroll through thousands of pictures.

However , not all the photos in the slideshow have captions, so for those without, it shows " < empty >" respectively 2 " ". I want that there is nothing on the slide if there is no caption. How can I do this

View 2 Replies View RelatedI copied my catalog from Windows 7 PC (along with all photos) to a new iMac OXS 10.8. Installed Lightroom 4.3 on the iMac (with photos and catalog in same relative locations as previously in the photos folder)
In the Lightroom library on the iMac, all my photos have an exclamation mark in the top corner, and when opening any of them, I get a comment suggesting metadata is in conflict.The actaul metadata in the photos looks fine.Is there a global command with which I can cancel these exclamation marks?
I am currently using Photoshop CS4.Anyway, I want to make a grid, not necessarily with square grid blocks, then attach an image to a new layer underneath the grid. Then I want something that will go grid block by grid block, look for the predominant color of the attachment image within that grid block, and fill that entire grid block with that color. The images I am looking to attach are cartoon style (i.e. logos), and there are not complex color schemes to work with. The Pixelize effect is similar, except that it gives a blend of the colors which may not be in the grid space to begin with. i.e., if only black and white is used in an image, it might spit out a gray color shade rather than black or white. I am essentially trying to create a pattern from source images.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe struggle a bit creating a seamless repeating pattern that includes embedded images with clipping masks applied.Our pattern is a 550x550mm black square with various embedded inserted on top. All of these images have Clipping Masks applied to hide unwanted areas.These images are placed so they create a seamless repeating pattern and this includes areas that overlap the square.Once we create a swatch from this pattern the repeatable area becomes too big as it includes the unwanted areas hidden by the clipping masks.Because the repeatable area is now too big it's actually not repeatable.
Pathfinder/crop to delete the unwanted areas in the images etc.We though of just live tracing the images, but due to the complexity this is not an option.Do we really have to do our "cutting" in Photoshop .
I just copied around 30GB of photos from my Mac laptop to a secondary internal drive that I placed in my Mac desktop. I then copied the Catalog from my laptop and put it in my primary drive on my Mac desktop. I double-clicked on the Catalog and it seemed to open everything up. I clicked on some keywords and it is finding the images. I never used LR for anything other than adding multiple keywords to all of my images.
1. However, the folder section on the left has question marks next to each and every folder that displays in that section. Why does it have the question marks and what do I need to do to remove them?
2. Do I need to do anything else to ensure the transfer is complete?
Just installed Lightroom 4, more than 60000 images were imported. Many of them were duplicates, triplets and so on. I want to have a clean, unincombured library. Should I delete the 60000 images and reinstall the images from my photo digital cards or use the slow process of "X" out the unwanted images? I would like to start improving my images vs removing the unwanted images.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems selecting images in the library module when multiple images are in view (not down in the timeline, but in the main window). It seems sporadic with which ones it won't let me select, it somehow manages to be the ones that I need to click....!! I just literally can't click it as if it were an image I already imported or something, but it's not grayed out like that. I've been having to select a nearby image then use my arrow keys to navigate to and click the image I need.

Running Windows XP 64, Lightroom 3.3.
In Lightroom 4.1 when rating (flags, stars or colors) a selected group of images all images selected will have the same flag applied. For instance if I select 10 images to view in the survey mode to compare and select 1 to be flagged as rejected all 10 will be flagged rejected, not just the one. Is there a way to turn this off to select a group of images and flag each differently?

I recently had a "strobist" photoshoot with my pentax K5. I thought I was in best conditions to obtain killer definition (2 off-camera strobes, iso 200, f4 with a samyang 85mm f1,4 which seems quite good to me and .pef raw file format). But it turns out that I got a weird cross hatch pattern on my pictures :
This is a 100% crop of an unprocessed raw from lightroom. The problem is clearly visible on both eyes.. different shots from the same session, taken with a tamron 17-50mm f2,8 (still @f4) do not show any pattern ! (Same camera, same setup, only differs by the lens and distance to the subject...)
(Which was a relief because I was searching all over the web for the origin of that issue...)I tried the previous process (2010 & 2003), but the issue remain unchanged.

A shaft has a rectangular pattern of holes (along its axis) on its surface. I want to pattern the 4th occurence of this hole pattern as a circular pattern? Can I do it in Autodesk. I can not select the a specific occurance of a patterned feature to pattern it again.
As you see in the template photo (the photo was scanned by Microsoft Security Essentials, healthy) I wanted to extrude my circle, and I made 28 pieces with circular pattern feature; now, do I have to choose all the pieces by one by to be able to choose all?
The sum of the problem: while using the Circular Pattern feature or rectangular pattern feature in Inventor, sometimes I want to extrude (join) or cut the drawings that I made (augmented) with using circular pattern feature, rectangular pattern feature. in this case do I have to choose all the augmented members one by one (for instance I make 42 augmented members), it can take a lot of time.?

I have a circular part on which I have created a linear pattern (using the rectangular pattern feature) of holes, 6 in total listed as 3 ccurrences. if we number the holes 1-6, I would like to make a circular pattern based off holes 2 and 5. I have been unable to figure out how to select the individual "occurrence" related to the hole once in the pattern feature. If I create the circular pattern first and then the linear and try to suppress the others it supresses both holes in the occurrence.

I have chosen different sizes in the pattern window but all show up with seams when I fill the larger space. Am I doing something wrong or is the largest size you can create with this tool seamlessly only 9x9?
