View 1 RepliesI've taken several shots yesterday evening with intent to create a good panorama. However, I forgot to set my camera exmposure fixed. As a result I've got this:
Is there any automatic way (or helpful tools) to balance the picture and remove those borders or should I edit each shot manually to make them match each other? In other words what is the optimal way to have this problem solved?
i am trialing elements 11 while following how to stich a panorama in digital photo i put in all the amounts on the sliders as it says then it says click on select all then synchronise to move on to the next graph on the disc synchronise is underneath select all on elements 11 there is nothing under select all

View 1 Replies View Relatedthese are two photos combined from separate shots to create a panorama. unfortunately, the photographer must have shot the two photos at different times in the day or did some sort of different aperture/shutter speed settings or something, as the exposures are quite different. but it's not just a question of using brightness/contrast... the tone of the two photos are completely off. i've used brightness/contrast and just about when i get the background pretty close, the foreground is way off, and vice-versa. i also tried using adjustments with a gradient map, and selecting different tones, but it still won't do it just right. how to match the tone of the two photos perfectly so it looks like they are one photo, obviously. they need to appear completely continuous.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with importing still images into a time lapse sequence in photoshop.I want to create a time lapse using a sequence of still photographs. All file names are sequentially name/numbered.
I am using the Motion workspace, and have followed all of the instructions available. Create correct sized new document (film & video).Create video timeline. Set frame rate. Choose 'create new video layer from file'.Point to first image in the folder where the images are stored. At this point, no matter what I have tried, I receive this error:
I have tried different sized new documents; tried jpegs and tiffs; tried different frame rates, tried different qualities and sizes of images; tried selecting the last image instead of the first (one recommendation).
If I use the 'Place' command from the file menu (and check the 'image sequence' box) instead of selecting 'Create new video layer' from the layers panel, it loads fine and I can still render the video.
It took me most of a day to discover this workaround, but every other reasonable 'how-to' that I can find says that I should be able to do it by opening files into a new video layer and it seems as though the new video layer option may give me more alternatives.
I have reset Photoshop, deleted the settings file, even reinstalled it. I use 64-bit on windows 7 and even installed the 32-bit to try that, but all with the same result.
In CS5 I use Photomerge to produce a panorama. However, how do I create a panorama where there is inadquate overlap between the individual images. CS5 does not have an Interactive layout option permit the movement of images which would then click together. There must a way, only I don't know it. Also in Photomerge if a particular lay option does not work how can I quickly try a different layout option without closing down Photomerge and then opening it up again?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAll photographs collection contains more photos than in folders - (Using LR 4) There are about 6k more photos that are in my catalog (All Photographs) than what is showing up in my folders below. All of my photos are located on an external hard drive. I have them organized by year. So for example, if in LR I click on 'All Photographs' in the library module, I can see hundreds of photos from 2009. I can also see all these photos on my external hard drive under the 2009 folder. However , these photos do not show up under the folders in LR. I've tried 'synchronizing' my folder in LR, but it thinks all of the photos are duplicates, since they are indeed already in the catalog (just not the folder)
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen merging photos (RAW files) from LR3 in CS4 then all the modifications done to the photos (files) are reconized in CS4 and the Panorama has the same appearance in respect of exposure and color parameters.
When merging photos (RAW files) from LR4 in CS4 then the modifications done to the photos in LR4 (files) are not reconized in CS4 and the Panorama has the appearance of the untreated photos, same as imported. CS4 does not recognice, implement the LR4 modifications!
I need first to export the photos to an other format and then merge them so that the LR modifications are implemented.
I have LTR 4.1 and CS6 and cannot get the merge to panorama to align all selected photos using the "edit in CS6" feature. If I select the same photos directly in CS6 with out using LTR then the panorama works fine. From LTR, CS6 will not align at least one photo and leaves it below the photos it has merged - it does not warn that it cannot align the photos. I have tried this on several sets of photos.
Any settings within LTR 4.1 or CS6 that needed changing? This feature worked well with LTR 3 and CS5 and trying panorama's previous crreated in LTR 3 now in LTR 4.1, using the same photos, will not merge at least one of the photo's.
Merge to Panorama no longer works in CS4.
I have reinstalled CS4 to no avail and am using the latest LR 3.6. OS is Win 7.
All works up until I get to the Merge window in CS4 where I can select any options and then select the "OK" button and nothing happens.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am currently making virtual copies of all my photographs converting them to black & white I am then choosing which one to keep. If I keep the original no problem, I can remove the virtual copy however if I choose the virtual copy I have to keep the original copy or export the virtual one. Is there a way I can make the original the virtual copy and the virtual the original. As things stand I have loads of photos showing in lightroom that I do not want.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy metadata for the catalouge has become split across two copies of the photographs on different hard drives. Is there a way of recombing the two so that lightroom only uses the photographs at one location? It is difficult to work out which copy of the photo on which disk has the metadata asigned to it.

View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen I use a keyword to find a collection of photographs, I then want to be able to select a subset of them based on ratings, say all 4 stars or above. But when I try to do that, Lightroom displays all photos with 4 stars or above, not just the ones with that keyword. Earlier versions of lightroom handled this well. Is this ever going to be fixed or is there another way to do this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to process photographs without placing them in the catalog?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it simply a way to condense screen real estate to manage a lot of images -- especially ones shot for HDR, for example, which are varying exposures of the same view? I would love to see an analysis of the meta data to create smart stacks suitable for panoramic merging or HDR depending on how they were shot. Then the next logical request would be for a Process the Stacks in Photoshop, thus automating this process.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm on Lr, edited some files to get a panorama, clicked on "edit in" then "merge to panorama in photoshop. All right until there. The problem is that once clicked it switchs to Ps CS6 and merging the pictures in a panorama but without the editing I did before in Lr (white balancing, lens correction and so on). I mean that Ps creates a panorama starting from the original pictures as if the pictures were not edited in Lr while I would like that - as I always did - Ps starts to work from my Lr's editing. I think that it is something about settings.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to import photographs from an external hard drive to LR4.1. The photos appear to come over ok and be available as long as the external hard drive is connected. Once it's disconnected, however, the photos are still in LR, but each has a line that says "The file named XXXX is offline or missing." What do I need to do to ensure that the photos are moved to the right place in LR so the entire file will be there, without the external hard drive connected?

I have a catalog of an event which spanned over a few days, and so I made a few collections. I made collection sets for Day 1, Day 2, etc, and in those collection sets I have two folders - General and People.
When I enter say, the General collection for Day 3 and I flag a photo in there as 'rejected', the photo when viewed in 'All photographs' does not show the Rejected flag.
I am trying to import photographs from a SD card shot on Nikon D600. LR keeps saying "Preview unavailable", and that it doesn't recognise the raw format.
I have tried downloading images from card via a recovery programme and filed them on desktop in separate folder, then tried to import from the folder. Still no success.
