Lightroom :: Merging Photos To Panorama From LR4 To CS4?

Aug 30, 2012

When merging photos (RAW files) from LR3 in CS4 then all the modifications done to the photos (files) are reconized in CS4 and the Panorama has the same appearance in respect of exposure and color parameters.

When merging photos (RAW files) from LR4 in CS4 then the modifications done to the photos in LR4 (files) are not reconized in CS4 and the Panorama has the appearance of the untreated photos, same as imported. CS4 does not recognice, implement the LR4 modifications!

I need first to export the photos to an other format and then merge them so that the LR modifications are implemented.

Lightroom :: Merging Catalogues Which Have Same Photos

Jan 25, 2013

I have multiple edits and collections of the same photos.... the problem is they are in different calalogues. I find myself in this situation because I mistakenly opened and worked within backup catalogues.

I'm now wanting to,

a) merge all my catalogues under a single master catalogue,
b) preserve the edits and cataloges I've created,
c) not create a mess of duplicate photos in the new master catalogue.

Photoshop :: Combining Two Photos To Create Panorama

Mar 24, 2004

these are two photos combined from separate shots to create a panorama. unfortunately, the photographer must have shot the two photos at different times in the day or did some sort of different aperture/shutter speed settings or something, as the exposures are quite different. but it's not just a question of using brightness/contrast... the tone of the two photos are completely off. i've used brightness/contrast and just about when i get the background pretty close, the foreground is way off, and vice-versa. i also tried using adjustments with a gradient map, and selecting different tones, but it still won't do it just right. how to match the tone of the two photos perfectly so it looks like they are one photo, obviously. they need to appear completely continuous.

Photoshop Elements :: How To Print Panorama Photos On Canon Printer

Sep 4, 2013

I have stiched together six photos to make a panorama photo.  When I go to print that combination photo only one of the six photo shows up in the Print window.  Only one photo is printed, not the panorama one.  I tried using the Finder > Print box and the copy of the panorama photo I had in a folder on the my desktop. That worked.  I want to use photo paper for the print and make some adjustments, that  doesn't work from the Finder > Print selection.  The original panorama photo was a TIFF file and ended up to be 155MB, but I made a copy in JPEG and that file was 13.2MB.

GIMP :: Convert Panorama Photos To Multiple Overlapping Images For Animation

May 25, 2013

I have a long and complicated road trip timelapse photo set I'm converting to an animation. That i've managed to sort out. However I also have some panoramas that i took here and there. I'm trying to take these panoramas (about 11 of them) into their component images, but with an overlap so that they will be in the animation appearing as a pan.

So I have about a dozen of these fairly wide images (2096 x 544 for one of them), and each of these i want to split into about ten images with a reasonable "overlap".

Given the amount of potential images, and my desire to have a smooth pan, making composite images manually wouldn't really work.

I've been using ifranview to bulk crop and resize images but i couldn't work out a way to do this so I switched to GIMP, which I'm not great with.

I've grabbed the guidelines every x pixels script and guillotine into layers plugin, hoping I could guillotine across multiple guideline "units" but all it's given me is dozens of vertical slices of the image.

I could merge and duplicate them but that would take ages.

At the moment I'm thinking my best option is to put the guidelines on and use selections to snap to guidelines and paste as seperate layers, then save all the layers as seperate files. However that still seems very slow and clunky and i'm wondering if there's a better way.

Photoshop Elements :: Adjust Mask Boundaries On Sequence Of Photos In Panorama?

Sep 10, 2013

I've successfully merged a sequence of photos taken along the shoreline of Yellowstone Lake using the Photoshop Elements 11 Photomerge Panorama facility.  Alignment is perfect but the sky has gone wrong at one or two boundaries.

The sky is there in both the adjoining photos and I'm sure I could do a better job than Elements if I could adjust the mask boundaries and get rid of the existing smudged area, but I can't find out how to do that.

In other words I have 10 photos in total sorted into 2 groups, I want to merge photo number 1 with photo number 5, 2 with 6 etc. Can it be done through batch or would I have to do it manually? Is there an import action that would allow me to chose the sequential photo each time?

Lightroom :: How To Get 4.1 And CS6 To Merge Panorama Correctly

Jun 24, 2012

I have LTR 4.1 and CS6 and cannot get the merge to panorama to align all selected photos using the "edit in CS6" feature. If I select the same photos directly in CS6 with out using LTR then the panorama works fine. From LTR, CS6 will not align at least one photo and leaves it below the photos it has merged - it does not warn that it cannot align the photos. I have tried this on several sets of photos.

Any settings within LTR 4.1 or CS6 that needed changing? This feature worked well with LTR 3 and CS5 and trying panorama's previous crreated in LTR 3 now in LTR 4.1, using the same photos, will not merge at least one of the photo's.

Lightroom :: Get Auto Stack / Panorama HDR Working In 4?

Jan 11, 2012

Is it simply a way to condense screen real estate to manage a lot of images -- especially ones shot for HDR, for example, which are varying exposures of the same view?  I would love to see an analysis of the meta data to create smart stacks suitable for panoramic merging or HDR depending on how they were shot.  Then the next logical request would be for a Process the Stacks in Photoshop, thus automating this process.

Lightroom :: Panorama - PS CS6 Doesn't Show Editing

Apr 23, 2013

I'm on Lr, edited some files to get a panorama, clicked on "edit in" then "merge to panorama in photoshop. All right until there. The problem is that once clicked it switchs to Ps CS6 and merging the pictures in a panorama but without the editing I did before in Lr (white balancing, lens correction and so on). I mean that Ps creates a panorama starting from the original pictures as if the pictures were not edited in Lr while I would like that - as I always did - Ps starts to work from my Lr's editing. I think that it is something about settings.

Lightroom :: 4.3 - Splitting And Merging Catalogs

Jan 13, 2013

My main catalog (LR4.3) has grown quite big containing about 122000 pictures, mostly RAW and the lrcat -file is 2.24Gb. In the beginning of this year I decided to start a new catalog, year 2013, a "working catalog" and when this year's works are done, I'll merge it to the main catalog and start a new catalog for year 2014, and so on.

It's just that I'm a little concerned about how well LR behaves in this kind of fusion. I mean all metadata transfer, especially the keywords.

The reason for this operation was that the big catalog is quite slow to use.  This new and this far tiny catalog though behaves almost lightning fast.

Lightroom :: Merging 2 Catalogs From 2 Computers

Aug 12, 2012

I have a master desktop catalog and temporay laptop catalog, both OSX computers with Lightroom 4.  I am trying to copy the catalog and photos from the laptop to the desktop with little success. On the desktop when I try "import from another catalog" and choose the laptop catalog I get different errors that make it so I cannot import.  For one, the drop down box "copy new photos to a new location and import" DOES NOT SHOW UP! I can only "add new photos to catalog without moving."

So I am thinking permissions and.or ownership issues. I have tried to login as a different user, change ownership of the catalog and preview files and the photos and gave r/w previlegious and login in as ADMINISTRATOR also, nothing working. I did have success keeping the stream simple:  Created a new account as ME on the laptop, creating a new catalog while loged in as ME and did the import of the catalog as ME on the desktop.

Lightroom :: Catalogue Merging - 1 Drive To 2 - Old To New Computer?

Nov 8, 2011

I have been using Lightroom since the beginning on an older PC running Windows XP (currently ver 3.5). The way I began using LR was to only import those images which I wanted to work with. Basically these were all in the same parent directory (/images) and reasonably well organized. Having just set up a new Windows 7 PC with plenty of memory and speed, I would like to import all of my digital photos (100K+) to LR. I would also like to have my old catalog, containing metadata on ~2,600 images that I have worked with.

I would like to have the catalog on my boot drive; all images are on another, larger drive. So far, I have not been able to make this work. Most attempts result in the catalog being on the boot drive and unable to find the images. No parent folder shows up in the C: folder (cataloged), so I can't point the whole batch of cataloged images to the right drive. It seems the only alternative I have is doing this folder by folder.
