View 1 Replies View RelatedImage Sizing Dimensions produces wrong image sizes upon export for certain images.
Â
Example, I have export set up for iPad resolution, 2048x1536px at 264ppi. If I now export an 3264x4928px image it should be resized to 1356x2048px. What I get is 1356x2047 instead, one pixel too short on the long side. This doesn't happen for all images source resolutions and ratios though. I haven't figured out the pattern yet.
Image size changes when moving an image between Lightroom and CC.
Â
I opened a .dng image in LR and then opened it in the Develop module. I clicked on Crop Overlay and then on the ‘As Shot’ drop down menu (the lock is closed) and cropped to 11 x 17 and clicked ‘Done’-.
I click Cntl-E and the image opens in CC. There I click on Image > Image Size and the Image Size is 13.288 inches by 20.533 inches.
Â
Why does the image size change?
I believe there is a menu to control the size of the image and I've looked everywhere I can think of in LR and CC, I googled various descriptions and I checked two of Scott Kelby's books, but I just can't figure out how to keep the image a consistent size when moving between LR and CC.
I am using lightroom 3.6 and I would like to know how to print an image at 100% of it's size for a given resolution. In other words without any ipscaling or interpolation.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an image that I took in RAW with a Canon 5D. I then masked a large portion of the image using the adjustments brush. The result was what I wanted but the image is now very large. I exported the image to a DNG to retain editability. The resulting DNG is 53,679 kb. If I export the image to a JPG at 25% quality limiting the size to 2000 pixels on the longest edge I still get a 7,795 kb image.
Â
I have had this problem with masking before. Is there any way to get rid of the bloat that the masking caused?
In the Develop module, the size of my image is 4928 x 3280. How can I calculate the size of this image?Â
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen exporting an image and specifying to resize 1500 pixels on the long edge I get this result 2541 x 1500, which is exactly the same result when I specify the short edge. I have tried this with cropped images and with uncropped images.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI imported images from my 1D M4 and made themDNG rather than RAW. All the images, JPOG and DNG have a heading in image info at top of the image in Library or Develop as 4.0MP indicating that the information is very small. Canon tells me this camera should show MP as 16-18MP and large prints available. The smmaller bird will not crop to make an image over 4x4 and I pring 8x10. Canon believes it is a LR4 preference issue but I can't locate it in importing. I did note a export image smaller and changed it but regardless, I checked the importing file size and tey are all significant so it is a Adobe LR4 issue and preference somewhere. NAPP says it is not LR4 so I am caught?
View 10 Replies View RelatedMany of my catalog images (LR 3.6) do not show file size or pixel information for the associated image file. I suspect this is a hangover from an import of photos from Photoshop Elements which I used in the past. The problem is that when I put such an image in a slideshow or web gallery, the exported image is not properly displayed.
Â
To get around this, I can export the image files to a hard drive directory in original format, and then re-import them into my web gallery collection. The correct file size info is then available in the catalog, and the image reproduces correctly in the exported gallery.
Â
I know (or at least hope) this is a kludge, and there is a more straightforward method to correct the catalog. I have many photos with incomplete image information.
1. How do you check the overall size of an image in Lightroom 4 before exporting. In Photoshop it is image/size so what is it in Lightroom?
Â
2. I have Canon raw files and tiffs and want to upload to 500PX and other web site galleries in one action. Is it possible? How do you set up an action to convert an image, say a tiff, to a certain size and then save as a jpeg and upload to 500pX using the plugin all in one action? At the moment I am saving the tiff as a jpeg to a correct size using a pre set, but then exporting to another folder ready to either manually upload or re-import to Lightroom as a jpeg then upload.
The export works not correct in LR5.3 When the field "Dont enlarge" are activated Lightroom ingnores the settings of image sizing and export the pictures in original size.

Upon exporting as a jpg, the image size is 3mb, compared to file sizes of 400-500kb for images without so much manipulation. How do I "flatten" the image to get smaller file sizes?

how do i do this? everything i try makes the output file about 24k in size.
the reason i am doing this is the forum i regularly post on has a max avatar size of 6k.
can a watermark stay the same size even when an image size is altered? say if its text and it gets too big when i enlarge the image how do i shrink the watermark ? when it is already merged and flattened as one picture without a separate layer.
such as a php or java script to keep the watermark distinct in a way even in a flattened pic or to select the watermark to erase it and re-apply it in the right font size back onto the resized pic?

I'm using Photoshop 7. I create a new document 8.5 x 11 inches at 150 pixels per inch.
I draw a circle 1" from the top of the image. The circle is 3" in radius.
When I print the circle is nearly .25" smaller in radius and slightly less than 1" from the top.
Why is the output not in the same placement and proportions as the image on the screen?
I am trying to create some images in PS2 that have to be 3.5 to 4.0 mb. When viewing the Image Size screen, I might see an image size of 9.6 mb. However, when I save the image and run my mouse over the image in Bridge, it shows a size between 2 to 3 mb. I can't figure out why this discrepancy, or what math I need to do in order to figure out how to create the required image size other than by trial and error.

I have a created a new PSD that is 8 1/2 x 11.The canvas size is the same 8 1/2 x 11.I want to put a border around the picture (say 1/2 of an inch all around), and put the finished picture in a Picture frame. After it is in the frame, you would be able to see the entire picture plus the border. Q. Should I change (reduce image size) of the PSD to (for this example), 8 x 10 1/2.     Then increase the canvas size to 8 1/2 x 11. After I increased the canvas size, do a Paint Bucket fill with white (to create the White border)? then print the changed size PSD on 8 1/2 x 11 paper so that it will fit into a 8 1/2 x 11 picture frame I realize I could have just created the new PSD to be 8 x 10 1/2 in the first place.
