Lightroom :: How To Re-center Window Positions
Jun 16, 2012I switched from 19" to a 27" screen. How can I tell LR to re-center it's window positions?
The windos (like the Export window) are still on the old place (centered for 19").

I have a lot of predefined GPS data in the map modul of LR4 ("saved positions", left border menu).
I installed LR5 and noticed that it does not import them from LR4.
How do I get these GPS data out of LR4 into LR5? (I'm running Windows 7 x64).
Win7 - AIP2013 Update 1.1
When I go to the project settings and select the configure content center libraries icon, click on the drop down icon of the same name, click the icon, no library window appears. It was working before, but not now, it selects but will not click to produce the library window. All my libraries files are in the same locations as far as application options & projects environmebnt are concerned.I tried running AIP as admin and not admin.
How can I get my image to center in the Print Preview window? (Epson R2000, 12 x 12, borderless). No matter where or how I change the settings, the Print Preview window shows my image has been cut off on the right hand and bottom edges. Hence, I cannot get a 12 x 12 borderless image to center on a 12 x 12 sheet of scrapbook paper.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using 3ds (mental ray) for architectural visualization. I normally have different cameras for exterior and interior renders in one model. Each scene should have its own specific lightning and shadow settings (intensity, shadow position, etc)
Is it possible to have multiple sun positions in the same model which would be connected to each camera?
If not, what would be the best way to achieve various lightning settings? I would like to avoid having one file for each camera position.
I have gone from using dual monitors to a single monitor. As a result, some of my dialog boxes (such as the Canvas Size) are located off the right, where the second monitor used to be, and I can't access them.
Is there a command that will reset the positions of all the dialog boxes and toolboxes so they appear in my main monitor window again?
I am plotting geographical positions as "Points" in Autocad LT 2007. Using an Excel spreadsheet, I take a Lat and Long, convert to a UTM grid, then apply a "false origin" to make the numbers more manageable. (2 or 3 digits rather than 6). Then copy and paste to Autocad and use the POINT command to plot them all at once. This works fine but what I would really like to be able to do is to copy a text label across at the same time, to label each point with a description
If not, can I assign a label to a point one by one?
I'm new here but an occasional Gimp user since v2.6. I have recently installed the latest version on my new tablet and I was configuring the layout of the docks and realised that there's no way to save different layouts so I could try alternative dock positions to find what suits best to my workflow, or maybe have different ones for depending on what I'm working on.
The only way I could think to achieve this could be to exchange Gimps preferences file, but where is that stored? BTW it would be a nice feature to add in future releases.
I'm working on constructions that are operated with winches. However, I haven't found a way to model the wire so that it moves as it should.
I've attached a simplifed assembly that illustrates my issue.
In the "Master" position the wire looks as it should.
However, in the "Up" position, the wire does not. (red line indicates desired wire path)
I'm not interested in making the wire slack, just to have straight lines and radiuses around the sheave.
The actual constructions are much more complex, with 15+ sheaves and the wire moving in all three dimensions, not just in one plane as in the attached example. So a simple extrude cut on the assembly would not work.
I need the wire to work in the various set positions ("Master", "Up" & "Halfawy up") on an assebly level, so that it can be shown on drawings.
Optimally I'd love it to work in the "Flexible" position, so that it automatically adjusts (in real-time) as I move the rod, but it's not a requirement.
I've found multiple videos on Youtube showing something similar to what I want to accomplish, but no description of how it's done. Examples:
Inventor Simulation - Pulley and Cable.wmv
Winch - Autodesk Inventor (the wire being spooled onto the winch is not required, but it does look nice)
I use FDO to connect to an image (NAIP TIF obtained from USGS Seamless Server) and other shape files we created using GPS surveying. I also have contours in the drawing created in Civil 3D and a polygon property boundary from the land surveyor. When viewed in model space everything is very reasonably aligned to the NAIP aerial image.
When I plot the drawing (tried DWG to PDF, our office copier, and a HP DJ500) the map data has shifted relative to the aerial image. The shift is visually quite large. It almost appears that the drawing layers are translated and rotated relative to the aerial photograph.
I have made an assembly with a lot of "Positions" (in the Representations). See browser.
Is it possible to change/edit one of the Positions (In the Representation tree) to be the Master Position?
In an idw views of an assembly with positions aren't represented correctly.
In the iam in is necessarry to update for an correct representation of the position.
But when a update of the view in the idw is forced, the view isn't correct!
I ticked association of the view in the idw.
I also installed the latest hotfix for Inventor 2012.
I use Adobe Photoshop Elements Version 8.0, and I use Windows 7.
The problem: Whenever I use any tools involving the usage of the mouse on the canvas, everytime I click to use the tool, sometimes the cursor seems to 'jump' out of position and I end up unintentionally putting paint on the wrong part of the canvas. And before I release the click, I try to move the mouse around in random directions to no avail; the mouse doesn't respond until I release the mouse. In another similar case, sometimes for a split second the cursor seems to move on its own and it leaves behind a random trail of color. Example: Let's say I wrote down my name 'Andrew' on the canvas. I end up something similar to 'Anc e.", along with a black dot/calligraphic stroke or two unintentionally placed when writing down my name. I had to undo and click several times until I properly got the tool working. I'm working on a certain project in PS

I have been searching for some information on how to pass objects into a function so I can mess with their properties. Somehow I haven't been very successful. Anyway...What I want to do is take two items (light fixtures) and swap their positions on the drawing. It seems like it must be really simple, but I'm just not finding the key puzzle pieces to do it. It seems like if I could figure out how to pull two objects into the function (whether by selecting them and running the function or by selecting them after I run the function) I could very easily save the coordinates of one to variables and then just swap them.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have sold my colleagues on using a ribbon control (instead of a palette) for our custom commands, but... I am stuck on one last detail.
Here's where I'm at.
Using AU examples:
- I have my beautiful new ribbon loading on startup/initialize (IExtensionApplication.Initialize)
- My dll is registering and everything is working as expect.
However. Many users prefer to un-dock panels from the ribbon and place them on their second monitor, either stacked or horizontal. Once the user exists autocad and restarts the application the panels (from the custom ribbon) return to their native positions. The out-of-box ACAD/ACADE retain their position. How can I get my custom ribbon's source panels to retain their last positions?
I need to Import a IAM file with Views and Positions to Showcase. I found several tutorials on this, but as soon as I add a position in Inventor none of the above are imported. Without any Positions, Views get Imported.
It's Inventor and Showcase 2013.
I'm sure this is mind-numbingly obvious and I am overlooking it, but when I go to use the rotate tool, the center point of the rotation is defaulting to the center of the artboard, not the selected group of objects. How do I change that to default to rotating on the selection center by default?
PS. This is Illustrator CC (17.0.2) on a Mac running 10.9, if that is relevant.

Now it seems to be stuck on the center of my assembly/part. I know that I can hit F4 and long select LMB to re-center but I have never had to do that before the last day or two. I have uninstalled all the Beta Add ins I had installed and I have even uninstalled and reinstalled Inventor Pro 2014.
Is there an option somewhere that puts the default Orbit Center to the center of the screen?
I want to insert a layer into one of my video groups. But when I do I want all of the layers in all of the selected groups to move holding therei relative position. e.g. i have a text layer positioned at a certain time in a Clip B. I want to insert another clip right before this clip which will shove Clip B to the right. I want the text layer to move also keeping its relative position to Clip B. The text clip is in a different video group from that of the underlying layer that is being shoved over.Restated, I want to hold all the clips and layers in position so that when I insert another clip everything moves holding their positions relative to each other.

How has a pattern like this been achieved. They are not uniform and the same image is twisted around into different positions but evenly spaced to form a pattern.
I am using CorelDraw Suite X5 on a Windows 7, 64-bit operating system. I always used x,y coordinates for positioning objects. Last week that option suddenly stopped working. Now when an object is highlighted the x,y coordinates always registers 0,0. If I try to re-position an object by putting in new coordinates, objects are placed way off the page. My inputs are not held and the coordinates are back to 0,0.
