I've heard so many good things about photoshop but with limited funds I would like to know if this software can create such a thing before I invest in it.

first one is in high resolution and in black & white nuance. second one is a small resolution and in full colors. I wish re-color the black&white photo using exactly the same nuance from the colored one.
can i "copy" all the colors from the color-one to the b&w one ?

i hope there is a quick way to do that with adobe photoshop or with a commercial plugin. Something like : i load the first one (color), i load the second one (b&n), and i press Ok and magic appears !

Is there an easy way to do color tints on a photo in PhotoPAINT? And by that I don't mean just correcting the tint, I mean converting a regular photo into one that has a single color tint (e.g., yellow, red, etc.). I've tried graying it out and then adding a transparent color layer over it, but I'm not getting the result I'm looking for.
Also, while I'm at it, are there any (current) books out that cover PhotoPAINT in depth? I know that the official DRAW book has a section on it, but it's pretty basic.
I'm not sure if i can explain this properly, but I'll give it a go;
How can I change the color of a picture (jpg) so that the picture is build up in one color only.
I want the effect as shown the pictures below (assuming that the original sky was blue/white-ish)
So Ive learned how to turn a color photo to B&W with spot color ...how to turn a color photo sepia, but also spot color. I have a wedding photos that I think would be a fun shot to play mixing those colors together . I have searched for the info earlier today and wasnt successful .

There is a general folder named "Photos" and within are the sub folders for the photos. I did a simple drag and drop from my computer to the hard drive and expected Lightroom to simple show the new directory in the folder panel.
What would be the simplest way to re-access the files since moving them to the new hard drive?
I was sent a photo (just a jpg) and want to color it in Pantox Reflext Blue. I can't figure out how to add this color. I tried to "set foreground color" and found the color but then I couldn't get it to apply.

I am downloading an icc profile from Ilford paper and the instructions say to first download into downloads, then move to Library. This I did. But I cannot find Color Sync to move the profile into. When I did the "search" the list that turned up was not applicable. After that it needs to go to Profiles inorder that Lightroom 4 paper profiles list can receive it and be able to print according to the profile. How will I find Profiles? I have successfully downloaded profiles before.

I had hired a grahic designer who has since flaked out on me leaving me hanging high and dry. here is my problem- I have a small (hobby mainly) mineral makeup "company" that I am putting online for my small customers, I had my photographer take the "main" foundation picture and then I was able to have her then change that same photo with my 10 different shades of foundation color- essentially its the same photo except the color/shades are different to correspond with my makeup line.
however, I need 5 more done. I have a jpg of the colors from the manufacturer and of course my original foundation photograph
how on earth you change the color on my foundation to add a new color without taking all new pictures.

I'm fairly new at gimp and am trying to add color to an old (1950's) photo. Gimp won't let me add anything but shades of grey. I can get it to work if I take a color image, make it black and white, and then recolor it, but this image is starting out b&w. Do images need to be digital for gimp to work?
