Lightroom :: Adobe DNG Converter 6.4 To Process
Jun 26, 2012I have a Nikon D7k which I have been shooting in RAW and converting using Adobe DNG converter 6.4 to process in Lightroom 2. (I have a G4 (PPC) Mac with OS 10.5.8. LR2 is the last version this Mac can run.) The converted files look rather poor and require substantial effort to achieve an acceptable result in LR. JPEGs look much better out-of-the-camera. I looked at some of the RAW files in Nikon ViewNX2 and they looked much, much better. Unfortunately, there is some sort of color space conflict with LR2 which I have been unable to resolve.
Any way other than shooting in JPEG, which I am presently doing, until such time as I get a new computer which will run the latest versions of LR and PS?
Lightroom :: Duplicate DNG's From Adobe Converter
May 1, 2013I am having an issue with moving or adding DNG's to lightroom after a conversion is performed by Adobe DNG converter ~ lightroom is creating a 2nd folder within the folder I created ~ each folder is having the new, converted images uploaded, therefore creating duplicates.

Dec 20, 2013I have Lightroom 4 and recently purchased a Canon 70D. I shoot in raw but Lightroom 4 doesn't recognize my raw files. I did some searching on the Internet and found that I needed to download the Adobe DNG Converter in order to convert my raw files to dng files. The program won't open. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium, service pack 1. I am thinking I might not have the right system requirements. I did download the windows version. So frustrated that I have a new camera and can't process my raw files!

Apr 20, 2013I converted 5D Mark III Raw files to DNG with Adobe DNG Converter 7.4. When I import the DNGs into LR I noticed that the total pixel count has been significantly reduced. The original Raw images are 22 megapixels (5760 x 3840), the DNG files are 10.5 megapixels (3960 x 2460). I tried it without lossy compression, and with Lossy compression (making sure preserve pixel count was selected). Either way the image's pixel count is reduced. How do I avoid loosing half the image?

If you close the program, you might lose information". Nothing changed with the camera settings or lightroom. Sep 9, 2010I just updated to Lightroom 3.2 this week. It worked fine the past few days. Then last night, it started kind slow, then showed images shown in Library grid/strip view for any images. But it still show meta data. And no images in Develop tab. But if I move the mouse on the image area, the RGB values in histogram (upper right) still changes with differnt values. Just no images. And it still shows the shooting data.
I reinstalled it twice and oit still behave the same.
Then I build a new catalog. I see images only in the pre-import screen. Once a folder is imported, no images in this new catalog.
I also tried to clear cache, removed preferrance, and then create a new catalog. When I tried to import my images, there is a little triangle showing on top of each image, clicked and it said" Lightroom has some difficulty import the image file".
But PS CS5 Bridge and PS CS5 works just fine. I can actually right click on a grid (even though not seeing the real image or preview) and edit in PSP CS5.
BTW, the day before yesterday's problem, I was watchng the new Lightroom tutorial from this site (which I bought) and adjusted preference,... I don't know whether such a change of setting may cause Lightroom having difficulty seeing images.

Jun 1, 2013I had Photoshop CS6 installed and working on my Mac using Adobe Creative Cloud. However now a dialog appears that says "Help Improve Adobe's Product". Regardless if I approve this dialog or not Adobe Photoshop starts up with every menu option grayed and I can do nothing. I have to force quit the application. At this point it is 100% unusable.
I've googled it and seen others with a similar issue but no solutions found. I have OSX 10.8.3.
Others with similar issues. URL....No real solution other than don't use Mac Keeper (which I do not) URL....
