I know that this has come up multiple times, but I'll ask anyway.I am trying to create a slideshow using Fit To Music.
The slideshow is always off by about 10 seconds. I try to add or delete slides but to no avail. Are there Adobe alternatives to LR (4.2) slideshow?
I do prepress work for a label manufacturer/printer, and all of our trapping is currently done manually. The art files we work with continue to grow in their complexity, and doing all the trapping manually can sometimes be quite difficult and incredibly time consuming.
I know that Illustrator has a built-in trapping option, but it doesn't allow for a whole lot of control. I've played around with a demo of PowerTrapper (from Esko), but it's fairly pricy, and I haven't been able to get my boss to bite yet. Any plugins that handle trapping.
I think I asked a month or so ago if the healing brush tool was available in 6.0 and was told it was not ... that it became a part of 7.0. So, since I only have 6.0 to work with, can someone suggest which editing tools I might use in place of the healing brush tool? My granddaughter has an assignment to use the HBtool to repair an old photo as part of an assignment. I can clone or use other tools to make the repairs, but am wondering if anyone has specific suggestions for what tool will make repairs that will look most like they were done with the healing brush?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to animate and render a 30 second video of something similar to the attached assembly. I have been using Inventor Studio to apply animations to the components, render them as full frame AVI (800 MB files), and compress them with Sony Vegas Pro free trial (~120 MB).
The attached assembly is a simplified example and took me around three hours to model, constraints, animate, and render from scratch. Normally, the boxes are constantly starting and stopping and moving at different velocities. Defining distances and times is cumbersome especially since I need to be aware of the boxes' positions relative to each other so they do not appear to move at different speeds or overlap.
I think a solid modeling program might not be the best tool to animate loose components sitting on a conveyor belt. Inventor slows down and occasionally crashes when I get up to 40 or 50 boxes stopping and starting and moving at different velocities. I am inclined to think that 10 or 15 animated conveyor belts moving boxes with a coefficient of friction would be near impossible on my machine (modeling the belts similar to a track on a tank or a chain and sprocket, also constantly starting and stopping and moving at different velocities).
I haven't played with Showcase, 3ds Max Design, or Navisworks Simulate. Would it be worthwhile to try any of these to animate and generate videos?
i'm moving from PC to MAC and have some source PDN files that I need to retain in a layered format. I don't mind using photoshop elements or similar on my new platform, but how do I get my current layered PDN over in a format that can be read on the new software?

I don't see how to get rid of it, I continue to see an 'Unsaved slide show' written near the top left/center of slideshow screen.I want to just ditch that attempt and start over.
I have a 66 image slideshow sorted from a collection.
LR will only export 11 images.
I have tried from the original images (not in a collection), have saved a slideshow, have previewed and played, everything works fine on screen but I can't export the slideshow as jpegs.
I am trying to select music for my slideshow in LR 3. When I click on "select music" in the Slideshow Module I am able to select a song but because of the number of photos in the show I need more than one song or else find a much longer song. I need to add three songs to get adequate length. This is on a PC laptop. I have tried holding down various buttons while clicking on an additional song to add. including the shift button, Alt button, Ctrl, Window button, and Fn. It still keeps unchecking the selected song and then checking the next song I click on.
How do I get more than one song into the Slideshow?

When you add to create a slideshow music file (any file in mp3 format) appears in the right pane, next to the name of the music file exclamation point with the message: "The selected file is not a valid music file".
This is - as I wrote above - with each music file in mp3 how I try to add a Playback slideshow.
tell me where the video files are located in the library so I can try and determine if mine are missing?
I have never been able to export from slideshow and never knew why. Missing video files seem to be the culprit but I don't know how to confirm this.

It was super easy! Next step.. adding music. The slideshow was 10minutes long and so i needed around 3 music songs
However.. i could only manage to get 1 song for the entire slideshow.. Is there a (hidden) option to add more songs or a playlist?
While it looks like there have been some great updates in the forthcoming version, I'm surprised to not see mention of any new slideshow functionality. LR3 was very disappointing in this regard only letting you use one song and also no ability to apply ken burns type effects etc. Am I missing something or did Adobe really not make any changes to that module?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had this problem before, thought I had cured it, but it has come back. At the end of a slideshow, I always add this slide.
Slideshow will hang up on export encoding the frame for this image, or the last one before it. Before when I had this problem, I had always stored it as a jpeg and just coppied it into the folder of images to be included in the slideshow. Thinking it must be a corrupted file of some sort, although it will open fine in CS5, I created a new image and stored it as a tiff. I then would open it in CS5, and 'save as' a new jpeg in the image folder. Now, no matter what I do, sometimes it will work fine, and sometimes it will hang up. LR 4.1 just sits there. No error message. Just will not complete the final frames. Very frustrating to wait an hour or more for it to create a slideshow and it hangs at the last image. I am on a Vista Home Premium machine.
Is there an add on, or any way to export a slideshow to a DVD format, instead of an MP4? I use a 3rd party program to do this conversion now.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem exporting slides to video using the Slideshow tab in Lightroom 3. I have a folder of images that I am trying to export to video. The folder contains 290 or so images. I have successfully exported folders with more and less images before, so I know that the number of images is not the problem.
When I export the folder of images to video, Lightroom will consistently freeze on the last frame and refuse to do any more work or complete the action. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to this occuring, as I have closed all other programs to free up as much memory as possible, rebooted my machine, and restarted Lightroom. I have used identical settings to export other folders with success. FWIW, this same bug affects LR4 beta.
I'm using a Macbook Pro with a 2.66ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 4GB of RAM.
My slideshows are quite lengthy and run for longer than a standard song. If I fit to the music, the slides change too quickly. Is it possible to somehow have multiple songs that run back to back ?? It would be great if more than one song could be fitted to the duration of the slideshow. I like to have a decent time length before each slide changes.
