I am unable to download any pictures to Lightroom 4. I use Lightroom every day and never had any problem before and suddenly 2 days ago Lightroom stopped working! I even download Lightroom 5 but got the same problem! What should I do?
View 1 RepliesSince updating to LR 4.4, I have been unable to download RAW file formats. In addition, normal .jpg files stopped working today! I can successfully still download into LR 3.6 which I kept on my system. I'm shooting with a Canon 1D Mark X and using LR on an iMac.

In effect, this is suggesting that it’s for clients that already had CS3 and above.My plan on the creative cloud adobe website also suggests the same. The only time I was made aware of this need to already own CS3 or above was after I placed the order.
As a result, I am not able to download Photoshop CC or Lightroom 5 from within the Creative Cloud client.I think due to this mis-information on the Adobe website as shown above, I should still be entitled to this offer.I will contact Adobe sales support to see what they can do.
Having just got my MacBookPro, installed LR4, sucessfully shared my photo DB from Win XP with this Mac. However, when I attempted to transfer new photos from my SD card to the Mac, LR4 returns an error saying that it cannot read the DNG files on the SD Card?

I have change permissions as suggested in other forums, it recognises my Nikon D3 and shows the pictures but when I try to import I get the following message "the following files were not imported because they could not be read" I have LR3 on my laptop and it works fine.
View 6 Replies View RelatedLightroom 4 can no longer see the pictures on my SD card when I insert it into my computer. The photos are definately on there, when I right click and press 'show in finder' they are all right there, yet Lightroom can't see them - it show '0 Photos' on the memory card tab .
I played around moving pictures from sub folders on the SD card to the first level (which didn't make a difference), and checked read/write permissions (which all seem fine).
Gear:
-IMac, OS X v10.7.5, Intel Core i5.
-Nikon D5000
-Mix of SanDisk and PNY Professional memory cards (all have pictures on and Lightroom cant see any!)

Everything is updated and the pictures in question have been successfully imported into Lr.
I would like to open individual pictures into Lr, but I am unsuccessful thus far.
I right-click on the picture and choose Open with Lr does not appear in the list of programs, so I click Choose Program.
I went to the Desktop and selected the Lr icon.
Now when I right-click on individual pictures, Lr appears as one of the available programs, but when I select it, the Lr Import dialog opens even though the image has been previously imported into Lr.
Is there any way to correct this so when I right-click on a picture and choose Lr, it opens into the Library or Develop module?
With the new LR5 I've problems in uploading pictures to facebook. The folder is created on Facebook, but I can't upload any pictures (I've the German version)

I am now unable to upload pictures directly to my computer because every time i put a memory card in, lightroom pops up and they upload there. Because of this i can not upload the photos to any other program, including the program that i spent $80 to use. I have tried deleting the shortcut, but this doesn't uninstall the lightroom program. I am not sure how to uninstall it because i want it off of my computer.

"Generally, when things work at first and then suddenly stop working, the problem is with the preference files. These tell Lightroom how to behave and if something goes wrong with them, it tells the program to behave in a way that causes errors.
We'll want to recreate the preference file. Simply delete, rename, or move the file while Lightroom is closed and then reopen. On launch, Lightroom attempts to read this file for instructions, if it not there a new one is created with all default settings.
I have problems with displaying images in develope mode. On the main screen it keeps simply black, on the second screen (scaled fullscreen view) is shows blurry and not sharp...

I have Elements 10. A window popped up inviting me to download an updated version of Elements Inspiration Browser. I decided to do that. The first step was to uninstall the current version of the Browser. I did that. When I tried to download the update, I got a note saying something called "AIR" was required and would be downloaded. As the downloading proceeded, a not appeared saying that an error had occurred. I couldn't finish the download. Now I have no Inspiration Browser, which is evidently necessary in order to view some videos and tutorials.
