InDesign :: Why Is TOC Entry Out Of Order

I am using ID CS5.5 on Win 7 pro.
I have a booked series of documents. So far, the table of contents entries have been behaving themselve... until today.
The very next entries are for the "Enertek Family Groups" with two entries (so far). Those are the Initiator Family and the Strong ARM family. These are on pages 153-155.
Why are these entries, which are in the previous section "Patriarchal Family Groups", out of order here? I checked the page numbers and they are correct. The Enertek entries DO occur before the Prototypical families.

What is the point of Xrefs in 3ds Max if disabling the Xref does nothing to improve performance? Apparently everything in the disabled Xref is still calculated, because my viewport performance is crap. So I am reduced to deleting the Xref entry completely in order to get an acceptable interactive frame rate. This defeats the purpose of Xrefs. I might as well just Merge objects in and delete them when they're not needed.
This is 2013, I thought this sort of thing would have been dealt with properly by now. If the Xref is disabled, that means I don't want it to use ANY CPU time or ANY memory. As it stands, the value of Xrefs in 3ds Max is dubious at best.

I made this gorgeous table of contents with nice paragraph styles and a text frame on the master page. I put the text in the first frame and that filled my pages as intented. After that I used my paragraphs titles and the table of contents was done. But now I have a problem because I need to change the page order. I'm completely lost cause now my document is a mess. So is it possible to make a table of contents without using connected text frames because I know that I will have to change page order later and I want to avoid the mess I just made?

I'm running WinXP SP3. I just upgraded from CS2 to CS4 (and yes, I installed the update.
I'm currently running 11.0.1).
Whenever I load photoshop, just as it is about to finish "Initializing panels..." an error box pops up saying: "Adobe Photoshop CS4: Photoshop.exe - Entry Point Not Found" "The procedure entry point
Is ThreadDesktop Composited could not be located in the dynamic link library USER32.dll." After the box pops up I press the "Okay" button (that's the only one there) and it then opens Photoshop - which works perfectly. No other errors, no missing functions, no lag.
I'm pretty sure getting an error during start up is a good indication that not everything is 100%.

Here I have several concentric squares in an uninterrupted stack.I moved the topmost (small orange) one vertically.I then went to the Alignment panel, selected all the squares and clicked on the one I moved.Then I clicked on Vertical Distribute Center.
The right hand picture shows what happened.One of the squares (that big orange one) near the bottom of the stack shot up so that its centre was above the centre of the topmost one in the stack.The centres are evenly distributed but why is the stacking order not controlling the order in which the squares are arranged?
Fortunately the positioning of that big orange square was easy to correct, but something tells me this is not the way things are supposed to happen.Seemingly this does not always happen. I have tried the method on several stacks. Some were o.k., others showed similar behaviour to the above.

I am no longer able to open any image file (psd, jpg, tiff). When I double click one or right click and File>Open with, I get the following error msg:
Photoshop.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point ?getA3@LiveBase ScCore@@UEAAPEAXH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library ScCore.dll.
The significant event that occurred a few minutes early Windows crashed when I tried to put it to sleep. Photoshop and several other apps were open at the time but CS6 is now not functioning and I expect that it did not like the abnormal shut down.

Is there a way to resize images, etc., by entering pixel dimensions? The transform palette used to allow this, but it seems that palette is absent from the cs6 version of photoshop...

Getting some errors when I open up CS5 red X The procedure entry point CFWrite StreamGetTypeID could not be locatedin the dynamic link library CoreFoundation.dll.
The second error message is red X The procdure entry point CF PreferencesGetAppBooleanValue could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreFoundation.dll.
Red X "The procdure entry point CFLocaleGetSystem could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreFoundation.dll.
I had the Premium CS5 Edition download trial version first where I started getting this error message. I uninstalled the trial version and installed the CS5 I just received a week and a half ago.

I am animating a polygon mesh with bones using a CAT rig. Whenever I go to the Curve editor in order to change the Frames or Values in the Key Entry: Tack View, the tangent button icons start to flicker and I'm unable to type in a value with the keyboard for about 15-30 sec until the flickering stops.
Never the less the mouse functions are still given and I can manipulate the tangents manually, but it's especially frustrating when I want to set the Global or Local Weights of the CAT rig to 100% or if I want to work proper.
I have the SP1 and HF2 for 3DS 2012 installed.
System Spec:
Windows 7 Ultimate; 64 bit; SP1
Intel Core i7 950 @3.07GHz
12 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470
So, I'd like to know if it's an issue with the program/version or the hardware.

When I try to draw a line at an angle I start by clicking shift and @ and when I take my finger off shift key I find it dissappears from the command ribbon and this comes up Point or option keyword required. I also get what appears to be a small envelope at the curser and then as I take my finger off the shift key it dissappears and thats when message comes up.

Cannot get Illustrator CS6 to run. All othe CS6 components are running fine.
Every time I try to start Illustrator I get error message:

This is on a Window 7 Pro PC. CS5 previously ran fine, but computer was rebuilt after a harddrive crash then loaded with CS6 and this problem began. CS6 installation on laptop works fine, so downloaded files are OK.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall twice, but always the same result.

I deleted a number of LR5 sidecar files (xmp) using Windows Explorer. Done deliberately!
Now, LR shows 'Sidecar files' - xmp in the metadata panel -- even though the xmp file no longer exists. Is there some way to tell LR that the file is no longer there? and remove the entry from the panel?

Each time I open photoshop cs6 I am told that my trial period is over and that I need to enter my serial number. After Entering the number It works fine. Even though I am starting to remember the 24 digits it is stilla pain.

At the moment I am creating presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and exporting them as movies and then into Videostudio. I am also using Powerpoint for written content, such as slides. This is fine for basic informational type videos but obviously it's very limiting.
Before I bought Videostuido I used Animoto for a while and that creates some very nice movements and effects. I'd like to be able to do the same. Recommend an entry level animation package?

I'm trying to add to a right click menu for an Inventor addin using C#. I'm basing mine off of a VB sample. However, it appears VB allows the add command to be missing values, whereas C# will not allow any empty values.The 3 commas in a row are where the error occurs. C# error is simple "argument missing".

Each time an @ is entered at the command line, C3D is freezing for up to 15 seconds before allowing the comand to continue. It wasn't happening last week and no changes have been made to the instalation. What could be causing this glitch?

Using Acad release 12. Have there been any fixes to direct entry. Draw a 3d 6" cube. On the top surface draw a 2" line from a corner by moving your curser in the direction you wish to go, direct enter 2". It will be a 3" line. Move with direct entry also does not work when placing an object on an object.

I get that error message when I try to open Photoshop CS4. I also happens with Regbooster...
I reinstalled windows and installed SP3 again with all the latest C++ redistributable packs, framework packages, latest drivers for my components etc...

Not sure why this has happened but all of a sudden, my AutoCAD 2013 install is reporting an issue with the "Entry Point Not Found"...

I'm hoping this isnt related to the Windows OS which is Windows 7, 64 Bit but i do recall some updates being rolled out recently which caused problems with ESRI products...

I am using Inventor 2012. I want to put a label with a prompted entry. So I did this,

However, when filling out the symbol it only puts in the scale without the label. The reason I am doing this is because my text is right justified and I need the label to move with the text.

I have a section of code (see below) which runs a program which highlights a part/subassembly red, then gives the user a list dialgue box in order to easily replace the compent. At present, I have this code repeated for each part/subassembly in my main assemby (i.e. FRAME, POWER_RISER, BUSBAR_CHAMBER, BUSBAR_ASSEMBLY...).
Having the code repeated multiple times, means it is very time consuming to modify. I want to be able to generate a list then have the code below, run for each of the entries in the list. So I need something along the lines of
dim mylist as something
mylist = FRAME, POWER_RISER, BUSBAR_CHAMBER, BUSBAR_ASSEMBLY...
FOR each entry in mylist
run all the code below (with the words 'BUSBAR_ASSEMBLY' replaced with 'mylist'
END

I'm getting this error with GIMP 2.8.4 on Windows 7:
(executable name) - Entry Point Not FoundThe procedure entry point __gxx_personality_sj0 could not be located in the dynamic link library libstdc++-6.dll.
Where (executable name) is any of the following:
web-page.exehelp-browser.exefile-pdf-load.exe
A search turned up [this page][URL] ...., but the problem seems to be with libatk instead.
So I searched my C drive for "libstdc++-6.dll" and found three copies of it:
- C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\bin
- C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins
- C:\Program Files\NifTools\NifSkope
Not wanting to mess with any files in the GIMP's directory, I renamed NifSkope's copy, but the error persisted. I also removed all plug-ins from my user directory as mentioned in the other thread.
It seems that the GIMP is still functional, but it's quite annoying having to click "Ok" three times every time I start the program.

I'm working on a quick little plug-in with the Illustrator CS3 SDK and am having some troubles inserting a single entry into the hierarchy list. I have confirmed that my suites file is correctly calling in the ADMHierarchyListSuite5 class and am able to do everything I try to do in the following code except for add a new entry.

When in Library mode I want to move around the filmstrip (at the bottom) when in Loupe View. The same can be said about being in Grid View. I am able to go to the next or previous slides with the arrow keys and by pressing Page-Up and Page-Down it jumps ahead/back 10 or slides. How do you jump to the first or last slide? When I push Home or End nothing happens. I thought it was supposed to jump to the first or last slide.
Windows 7 PC
64 bit
Run LR5.3 on computer - not CC version.
PS - I have looked at several of the various cheat sheets on shortcuts and cannot find this.

I'm having problems with CC (photoshop) when updated I am using window 8 the upgrade to 8.1 came in and I updated everything is working well. I then updated Photoshop CC, and now I get this error message The Procedure Entry Point
