View 3 RepliesEver since I loaded Mavericks on my APPLE I can not open a file from any file. So if I go to file open it won't open I get a message saying: "Could not complete your request because of a program error."
I can however pull the file from the desk top and drag it on to the Photoshop icon and it will open.I also can not save files to any folder. I have to save it to a desktop then move it into the folder.
I've just moved from Lion to Mavericks, reinstalled various things and been working happily for a few days, but just discovered something which has me totally stumped. The "Fit Spread in Window" shortcut (option-cmd-0) no longer works. I've no idea if this is some preference that I haven't got setup in the same way as before, or if some other program or system default has 'reserved' that shortcut - certainly nothing else seems to be happening instead.
Mavericks (10.9.1) + Adobe InDesign CS5.5 (7.5.3)
When I try to open a Photoshop file from both a dropdown (File > Open) or command O, the display window will stay open for a brief moment before closing.
On occasion I'll get the error *** -[_NSArrayM objectAtIndex:]: index 39 beyond bounds [0 .. 38]
Other times the error will say Could not complete your request because of a program error.
Other time there is no message.
The computer I'm running is MacBook Pro with Retina display, 3 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
I have a dual display setup at work, where the larger display holds the document window, and the smaller display holds most of the floating tool and function panels. I upgraded to OS X Mavericks, and now all the panels have moved onto the primary display. This is happening in all Adobe applications, whether CS6 or CC.
Even moving all the panels back to their previous positions and saving them under a new Workspace did no good. As soon as I leave one application, I go back to it to find the panels all on the primary display once again.
Will I have to trash all the prefs, or is this a new bug?
How can i get my custom toolbar back ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a project that requires Japanese and English in the same document. As the English version of InDesign does not have the same level of typographical support for Asian charactors as the CJK versions, I want to know if I can install two versions of InDesign - Japanese and English - with my Creative Cloud subscription.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLast weekend, I formatted my PC HD and installed Windows 7 64 bit (previously installed was Vista). A human error was - perhaps - making sure that my backup of AppData was successful. However, my picture folder was on an EHD, and I suppose I would be saved anyway. I ran the import function from my EHD to LR3 (latest version), and everything went just find, except that my keywords were missing. Strange thing though, is that my lists of keywords and keyword suggestions were complete, but not connected to the photos (except for 1!!)So my question is, is there something I have missed (apart from my AppData folder) that could be fixed, or will I have to start re-tagging (keywording that is, metadata like dates etc. were imported as well)?
View 17 Replies View RelatedRecently upgraded to CC. Now when I open InDesign files, I get warning message:
"Hyphenation breaks may change if you edit the text in the document. The following hyphenation services are not installed on this system - Proximity (English: USA)"

In the past week or two, I took time to re-create the tool button config in PSP14 that I've used for many years in Paint Shop Pro. However, the next day I see PSP14 has reset to the DEFAULT toolbars!!
Why did this happen? Was it failure to SAVE the configuration? Are my toolbars lost now? any way to restore besides button-by-button reconfig?
I was working with a lot of text, using the trailing space attribute on the toolbar. This appeared (along with leading space and other attributes) whenever I selected a text object.
How can I get it to appear again?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am losing objects when I export to pdf from InDesign. Even if I make a simple file with one object, if it is over a certain size it will not export? This has just started recently, it also happens in Illustrator. I am using a mac.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have many documents I need to convert to HTML. I need the images in the documents to be links. This has worked fine, according to normal procedures if the images are png, jpg, or gifs. However, most of my images are not those formats. So if I have an eps, pdf, and tiff in my document, upon html export, there is no hyperlink. That is, the <a href></a> tags are not in the HTML at all. But if I convert the images to png, jpeg, or gifs, put them in my document, then choose that file format for conversion, the links work fine.
I want to say there is an issue with the link tags upon file conversion. It could be something else, but I am not sure why it works for certain file formats and not others. I figured ID would keep the association with the hyperling after converting an image from say and eps to jpg. Any way to keep hyperlinks for images after exporting to HTML.
(I can obviously add the link tags myself in the HTML, or convert the images myself and put them in the docs, but I have many documents and would like some automated way.)
I somehow lost the toolbar with the "copy to the clipboard" and "paste from the clipboard" icons.. which tool bar i need to turn back on?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've tried to figure out the pattern of how the command works for inputting partial customization menu toolbar names but I'm unsuccessful.
You should be able to show and hide partial customization menu toolbars with the -toolbar command because it can hide all toolbars including my partial customization menu toolbars currently shown. I've tried the toolbar menu alias (defined in the CUI command) and the name (refer to this link to the same image embedded below) and none work.
Ever since I updated my Mac to Mavericks, Photoshop CS6 started freezing at random intervals, and it's making it really hard to work like this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an English version of Photoshop CS3. Since I upgraded to Mavericks it will not work. It opens, a blank window for the Adobe updater opens and that's it. I can only close them by force closing. Everything is inactive. I can't even access the deactivate or activate menu. I have updated the Jave, repaired, uninstalled, reinstalled, all to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt's about two days I am experiencing lag problems with Zoom Tool on Photoshop CC. The strange thing is that the problem appears only two days ago, when instead I've installed OSX Mavericks on my machine about two weeks (the day of the Public Release)
You can notice that from the moment I finished drawing the "zoom square" and the real zoom lapse about 1,5s (same thing for the Scrubby Zoom).
I've tried to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop, disable plugins and reset tool preferences but unfortunately with no success.
Here are my specs:
Macbook Air Mid 2012 with i5, 8GB Ram, 128GB SSD
Photoshop CC 14.0
I don't own Creative Cloud but use OS X 10.6.8 on the i Mac (2011 model) working with previous versions of Adobe CS products ( Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) for my creative work.
Will these software applications work with the latest OS X Mavericks without any hiccups, even if my system doesn't have any Retina display resolution? I've been considering upgrading to Mavericks but wanted to make sure.
I am having problems with PS CC crashing on Mavericks. I unistalled and re-installed it but it keeps crashing after opening. Here is the craash report:

I use a MacBook Pro running OSX v10.9 with a 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7 and 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3. I use Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Illustrator CS6.
After installing Mavericks last night, I spent a couple hours figuring out that I had to install a Java update and delete my Astute plug-ins for illustrator. Photoshop worked fine (no plug-ins are used). After deleting the old plug-ins, installing the available updates from a Astute's website and restarting the computer, Illustrator was back up and running.
I quit both programs for an hour or so, came back and tried reopening each. Photoshop will no longer open. An error message says "could not initialize program" and shuts it down. Illustrator appears to start but will not open existing or new files.
When restarted in safe mode, each program works properly. What can I do to make them work in normal mode? Is there a way to find out what non-default extensions or plug-ins are preventing my programs from working properly?
After updating to Mavricks I revieve an error opon using Photoshop CC. It will allow me to open photoshop and just keep it open, however when I create a new file and start to work it will crash.

My old computer finally died, and so I just bought a new iMac with OSX Mavericks... I am wondering if my old Illustrator CS can be installed into my new iMac and if it would be compatible with OSX Mavericks? (I successfuly reinstalled my Photoshop CS4 and it is compatible with OSX Mavericks, but I am skeptical that such an old version of Illustrator will also install successfully)

I'm coming into my second week of desperate attempts to make my After Effects CS6 (Volume License) work in the cursed Mac OS 10.9. I'm back to using CS5.5 which works, but my clients are getting irritated by having to down-save all documents to CS5.5 for me.
– I've installed CS6 OK.
– I'm trying to patch it to 11.0.4, message keeps saying "Adobe Application Manager is damaged or missing, please reinstall"
– I've tried loads of ways to remedy this; CC cleaner, surgical removal and reinstallation of all Adobe files in various order, silent installs, all kinds of permissions repairs and adjustments, reinstalling AAM, installing AAM for volume licensing, studying the PDApp.log, install and crash logs,
I've considered wiping my entire system and trying to downgrade to Mac OS 10.8 in order to get my CS6 back up and running
