InDesign :: Unable To Reset The Inside Margins On An Existing Document
Mar 27, 2014I am unable to reset the inside margins on an existing document. Editing "Document Preset" for inside margin has no effect on the document - I can change the numbers to any value with no effect on the document. Changing gutter has no effect. I have tried setting margins in the master pages, also no effect. I can change margins by right click on an existing text frame (text frame options), but this only allows setting left or right frame margins for the whole document.

When I assign a multiply blending mode for example it takes the white background out of one of my images. When I place the image in indesign the blending mode is no longer applied and the white background is on the image.

Mar 17, 2014I am working on a 2-color newsletter in Indesign CS5... black and Pantone 227U.
Whenever I place a duotone .eps (black + 227U) or an Illustrator vector .eps with 227U in it, the color mode for that swatch changes to CMYK. An Illustrator vector which is 100% 227U also gives me the same issue.

Y'= -Z
Z'= Y
I know how to do it with the points (export their coordinates in a text and then transform the text and then import again at an Autocad) . But thus i loose all the line, arcs, etc .

Apr 22, 2011it's been a bit tough going getting up to speed with WD6. I find myself running into snags just using the interface and trying to get things done.
At any rate, what I am running into currently is that I have a working toolbar from a template, but I need to change it's colors for both mouse off and mouse over. I saw the video and it makes it look very easy by going into the navbar->properties->menu style and simply select the colors you want. This is having no visible effect for me..
How can I change the colors of my existing navbar? I hope I won't have to recreate it each time I want to change the colors, etc.

Sep 20, 2011I am currently using Architecture 2012. When I go to draw a line or an object like a wall or door I can select the colour from properties before I draw the object. The object will then come out that colour.
However if I need to change that colour at a later point, but how to do this?

Sep 1, 2011We just installed the new version of 2012 Product Design Suite. I've spend many hours creating great little ilogic dialog boxes to populate iproperty fields using custom iproperties and then automatically place this data on the .idw file when the view is placed on the new drawing. All works great when the part is created with my new 2012 part template and then placed on my new 2012 idw template. The trouble is with parts that were created with 2011 Inventor. Obviously, the old template does not have the ilogic data built into it. Is there a way to upgrade/migrate the part template file from 2011 to 2012 on an existing part?
I think I'm asking for a miracle here, but I have an assembly with 40-50 parts that I created in 2011 and now need to build the idw files for them and would really like to be able have the customized iproperties added to the existing part files.

When a new parts list is created and you select the view it automatically chooses parts and greys out, preventing you from actually changing it manually. Is it possible to get around this without having to start a new drawing?

Oct 3, 2011i'm using gimp 2.6.11 on a windows 7 enterprise machine. I made some brushes in rbg mode and saved as gbr, and also converted some ps brushes by exporting an abr as a png in rbg mode then saving as gbr. my goal is to get a gbr brush that i can change the color to the foreground color. I tried changing the mode from rgb to greyscale but when i try to re-save as gbr i get an error message that brushes can only be saved in greyscale or rgba (!).
i've tried saving the gbr as a png, changing the mode to greyscale and then saving as gbr but i get the same error message.
Any good skin texture brushes for gimp that can be used with foreground color? It's for a digital portrait of a male so I need an orangepeel texture and some other skin textures that aren't too airbrushed.

Oct 28, 2010How do I change the layer colour once I'm in Isolation Mode? I'm using CS4 and tring to edit a yellow object but Illustrator has made the layer/paths/edges yellow making it VERY difficult to see what I'm doing?
...actually, I just changed the objects layer to a differrent colour which seems to have made Illustator select the next colour down when in Isolation made.
Is this my only option?
