I need to print a CD label (using one of those cheap CD label templates) that consists of a photo and some text that will be placed on a CD. I will be using an HP laserjet printer [URL]....My file is set to RGB, though it is printing much darker than I want it to.
1. Which color profile should I be using to make the colors on my label look better?
2. Any other tips, besides getting a better printer?
I would like to use the label print feature of Corel DRAW X5. When I do the following steps:
Choose File -> New... Create a new file with A4 size and 300 dpi Choose Layout -> Page Setup.... Goto "Document" -> "Label" in the options tree Select "Labels" (instead of "Normal Paper") Select a predefined label layout (problem exists also with a custom label layout) Click on OK -> New page with one single label as the size has been created Drawing my label Choose File -> Print Preview
I expected to see the "matrix" of labels (e.g. 4x10 labels), but I only see one single label in the middle of the page.
Using elements 12 on win7 --been using quite happily for several weeks but now want to print cd label--but cannot get past a basic theme layout ---actually only want a blank label as start point . Have i missed installing something from the download?
My company is exporting Postcards in Illustrator CS6. What we do is have a large data set imported into the Variables applet and use the Actions applet to record and export action and play it through the whole data set. We later combine the PDF files and print them as a batch.
My question is: Is there a way to create an action that will automatically print the data set while avoiding the print dialog box? It will make the process simple and move faster.
Also, what are your was of creating postcards? Catalogs?
How do people create a catalog with over 60 pages and keep the file size low?
I have a Samsung Laser printer. THe passive USB hub went bad yesterday, and I re-installed teh printer drivers. Everything prints fine from my on-line E-mail, Microsoft Word, etc. However, when I attempt to print from Adobe Illustrator I get a "Print to file" WINDOW that comes up, I never got this before I don't want to print to file (!!!!). I want to print to the printer.
The label associated to a grading point when is moved when is moved changes its size automatically and a leader appears. After this happen no control over the grading point and its associate label. refer to the image below.
I need to design a dvd label for a client and they want to be able to make edits to it after I design it. Is there a way I can design it in illustrator.. save as an interactive pdf and then they can edit it with acrobat? I know with acrobat you can make edits to type but can you make edits to colors, photos, etc? Any other application that they would be able to use without having adobe?
I'm trying to open an .ai file in Illustrator CS6. I get an error message "Acrobat PDF File Format is having difficulties. Object label badly formatted" I have tried recovery mode and running recovery scripts to no avail.
I won't open or place in any other software. I can; however, see a preview in Bridge.
I'm not using any fonts software and there are no fonts present in the document. The file contains a lot of gradient mesh and a photo (.jpg, placed)
C3D 2013. We have profile line labels, some of which get manually edited (for example, change the "<[Tangent grade(FP|P2|RN|AP|GC|UN|SD|OF)]>" to a static number such as 0.29%).
However, if you CTRL+Click and select one of these labels and change the style of that one label, then the manual edits are lost and the label reverts back to the default string.
A label that I've created in Illustrator isn't mapping onto a can in 3D revolve
1. Traced the side of a can using the pen tool, and turned it into a 3D object using revolve (NOTE: I haven't applied any stroke to it, just a white fill - otherwise, Map Art wouldn't even open, it would just say " Artwork produced no surfaces for artwork mapping.")
2. Dragged the label into symbols
3. Clicked on the side of the can, opened 3D revolve, and clicked preview
4. Clicked Map Art, selected the appropriate surface
5. Selected the label from the symbols, scaled it, and clicked preview
When nothing happened, I tried everything: It wouldn't show in Invisible Geometry, so it can't be on the inside of the surface. When I tried Shade Artwork (slower), the whole program just shut down right away...
Interestingly, when I selected a vector symbol, it appeared on the surface perfectly...any thoughts on what that could be?
In an earlier Illustrator CS version, i was able to display any Paths' anchor point Numbers or label. But in CS6 with both "Anchor/Path Labels" enabled in Prefs. > Smart Guide section and in View > Smart Guides, no Point Numbers are displayed.
How to display each paths anchor point numbers or label?
A customer sent us their label in an AI file. Trying to print this onto a 3 x 1 label (which is small), the output looks pixelated. Looks like the whole thing is a graphic rather than text.
I have attached an image of the label as an example. **Please note that the label is copyrighted. Please do not re-distribute or otherwise print.**
I'm trying to label my Profile label stations as raw stations, 20~20 meters, and I'm not being able to adapt the format to STATION 0, STATION 2, without any plus zeros or +, or -, or commas, or anything, as following in the image.
Is it possible to pin a label to another label ? Or pin a label to an object so that when the first label (or object) is moved, the other moves with it ?
Our company prints large format graphics, an we like to use PS eps files as the file size is much reduced. However, the images fequently will not print until the file is closed and re-opened again, no matter what we are printing to, or even if a PDF is saved from the file, vector data is output, but not the eps images. This is putting a serious strain on our Graphics dept. as the files must now be revisited, and steps repeated.
I have multiple printers and in CS6 about 75% of the time the dialog box does not come up it just goes straight towards the default printer Is this a glitch or is there a setting becuase previous versions of Illustrator always brought up the dialog to select page size, printer, seperations, etc. Using OSX Mountain Lion
I'm useing Adobe Creative Suite 4. The problem I'm having is when I try print something from Illustrator it crashes but when uninstall Adobe Acrobat it allowes me to print but still the top menu is a bit funny, file, edit, etc. could I down load a new copy of CS4 and us my serial number?

I've printed a large Illustrator CS6 document to PDF (using Adobe PDF setting in print dialog box), and it looks just fine when I view the PDF. The problem is that some lines do not print when I try to print the PDF on paper. I've tried adjusting settings and printing to the PDF in different ways, but can't figure it out. Everything looks great on the screen, but some lines are missing once printed to paper. Others have tried printing the PDF as well and are also getting missing lines.
I just upgraded my iMac to Mavericks, and am now having trouble printing from CS5. The message I get is "Can't print the illustration. The Color Management settings are inconsistent." I hadn't made any color management changes, so I assume this is related to the upgrade. I checked AI, PS, ID, and Acrobat, and all the settings are North American General Purpose 2. I opened Bridge, and it has the same color setting, and says that all CS apps are synchronized using the same color settings.
I am designing invites for my sister, who wants to print them at home (I normally send a pdf to an online printer), and it would be economical for her to print 2-up, but I cannot figure out how to save my work and allow for that.
My work is a 5x7 artboard with 0.125 bleed in Illustrator. I know how to convert to a PDF with crop marks for online printers, but how do I get 2 on the page for my sis to print at home?
Illustartor never used to do this. I have installed it onto a new computer with a windows 8 operating system. The file I was working with was simple, but had aprox. 30 layers to it.
I use to work for webs, and now I need to print a few tags. So I prepared the first file (120 mm x 40 mm, 300ppp), saved in JPEG, and... what did I get, when I opened it in Photoshop to check? A picture of 120 mm x 40 mm, that's OK... but no 300 ppp but only 72 Therefore, measures in pixeles are just 341 x 114.
I am trying to print things out from illustrator, but it wont print anything black! it prints colour and everything fine, but what is ment to be black comes out grey. there is nothing wrong with the printer as it prints out fine from other programmes!
how I can get halftone lines to print? No matter what options I chose in the print dialog box > output, NOTHING works. It just prints out the gradient.
