Illustrator :: Show Print Tiling Menu Option Not Working
Jan 24, 2014I'm having an issue with the "Show Print Tiling" menu option not working at all.
I have setup a bleed for my document and have even tried a settings reset.

Jan 9, 2009I've been using Photoshop CS3 for awhile and printing fine. I just updated my print driver (Epson 3800 to version 6.5) as well as my graphics driver (NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT)at the same time. After rebooting I cannot click on the Print menu selection to print. IE: When I click on Menu the Print option is greyed and not selectable. Print as well as Page Setup, and Print One Copy are all greyed out (not selectable). I rolled back my graphic driver and rebooted and it still doesn't work. I then upgraded my driver again and it doesn't work. I've opened jpg's as well as psd files and no matter what file I open the Print menu's are greyed out. I can print from Word and other programs. I also reset my preferences (con-alt-shift) and still can't select print. I've done everything but uninstall. I'm hoping not to do that. My computer is on: Vista Ultimate 32 bit SP1, 4gb ram. In addition to updating the print driver and graphics driver I updated: Ultimate Extra Sounds, Group Policy Preference Client Side Extensions, Samsung CLP-310 Printer driver, and Microsoft Tinker.

Jul 10, 2013I've been using PSE 10 on an iMac (0S10.8.4) and printing photos on an Epson R2400 since March. When I returned from vacation in early July, the print menu was no longer available in Organizer. Instead, I was given the option of the print menu in Editor. It isn a much poorer menu and I am getting lousy prints. How to I get the print menu in Organizer back?

Apr 8, 2013In Photoshop CS6 under the view menu "print size" has been removed in version 13.0.4. Until 13.0.3 it was still there. Is there a good reason for it? Any known alternative? Workaround? I did use it a lot and miss it. On my main workstation I even went back to 13.0.3.
My guess is, that for "print size" showing the correct size on a given screen, the relevant screen resolution had to be set in preferences, and one had to know it, otherwise "print size" showed inproper size on screen. That might have led to remove it to not confuse retina screen users?

Sep 25, 2012Everything is calibrated. That is not an issue.
When I work the photo (JPG, TIFF or PSD) to where it is what I want, the preview is darker in the print preview. Probably one f/stop in photo terms. And, THIS is how it actually prints.
What is causing that? And, is there a fix?
None of the "show paper color," etc. are checked, so that is not causing the difference.

My question is: Is there a way to create an action that will automatically print the data set while avoiding the print dialog box? It will make the process simple and move faster.

Illustrator :: Print To File Message When PRINT Is Selected?
Feb 20, 2014I have a Samsung Laser printer. THe passive USB hub went bad yesterday, and I re-installed teh printer drivers. Everything prints fine from my on-line E-mail, Microsoft Word, etc. However, when I attempt to print from Adobe Illustrator I get a "Print to file" WINDOW that comes up, I never got this before I don't want to print to file (!!!!). I want to print to the printer.

All of the useful ones such as copy, paste, new, open, etc. Save for Web is still working, and a handful of commands I don't use are working, but not the ones I use all the time. I look in the menus for the commands for copy and group and such, but there's no shortcut assigned. And I've been looking online how to fix this, but everyone is saying go into Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts and voila. The only problem, is my Edit menu doesn't have a Keyboard Shortcuts option, and I can't figure out why.

I can get what I want by using a seperate shape, but that defeats the purpose of the single graphic style. I thought I could achieve the look using an effect under Effect>Pathfinder
But that doesn't get the result I expected. Below you can see both what the graphic style currently looks like, and what I want to add to it (the gloss) hopefully within the same graphic style. Is this possible?

Dec 14, 2012I recently upgraded my 07 macbook pro to a 2012 macbook pro with retina display running 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 with 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory. I had no issues with my old mac the entire adobe ran perfect now I am having issues with Illustrator CS5. Each time I navigate the character drop down menu Illustrator crashes on me. I get this page:

Illustrator :: Abbreviate Text Menu Items
Jan 10, 2013I'm working in Ai but this question applies to other Adobe programs.
Is there some way to abrreviate the text menu items ("Stroke", "Opacity", "Character", "Paragraph", "Transform") to "S", "O", "C", "P", and "T", this would save space (working with two windows juxtaposed) and eliminates need to access the drop down menu on the right if working window is smaller.
Perhaps this is too deep for the Preferences to reach... (but maybe it shouldn't be)
