Feb 1, 2014I've completed my flyer and everything looks great in Illustrator, however when I save the document as a PDF the entire thing turns a dark shade of blue. It almost looks as though the whole page as been highlighted. This only happens when it's opened as a PDF and not in Illustrator.

Dec 2, 2011I have just discovered that the Plugin Site Galaxy Edges & Frames CD cant be used in Live Effects in Graphic Designer 7.
These are the instructions on their CD for using with Xara, but after create bitmap and export i cant get it to work properly!!
1. Import the photo file you want the frame to be applied to with Import from the File menu.
2. Import one of the frame files from the frame sub folder with Import from the File menu.
3. Select the Bitmap Gallery from the Utilities menu.
4. Right click on the frame file in the Bitmap Gallery and select Apply as transparency from the context menu.
5. Use the handles of the frame object to make it the same size as the photo. Makes sure that the frame lies over the photo.
6. Choose Select All from the Edit menu or press Ctl +A to select both objects.
7. Choose Group from the Arrange menu or press Ctl+ G to combine both objects.
8. Select Create Bitmap Copy from the Arrange menu or press Ctl+ G to combine both objects.
9. In the Create bitmap option dialog make sure that the correct settings are set (e.g. that the color depth is set to 24bit) and press the Create button.
10. Save the created bitmap with Export from the File menu.

Aug 15, 2013I have been having a problem in the attribute editor. I am trying to make a Galaxy with the galactic paint tool. When i make it I go into the galaxy1 tab. Most of the subMenus inside the tab are there but I am missing Behavior and Growth. They were not there at first, then they were there and now they are not there again and i can't get them back again. I really need them for what I am doing. Oh and also, the only solution I saw by searching for it is to turn on Construction History but It was already on.

Jul 7, 2007I am trying to make a ransom type note with words cut out from magazines. I want the words to be different sizes and some different fonts (I know most all magazines have the same font). So of course the paper would have to be different sizes too. I am wanting the paper to be cut, not torn, from the magazine. And I am wanting WHOLE words (not the letters like in the Ransom Note font from DaFont). It would also be GREAT if the paper were somewhat different too (not always "white glossy" if you know what I mean).
I am a BIG time newbie, but am hoping there is a script (is that the right word?) or action that can help with this. Even if there is a web page out there that can create it on the web and then I can somehow get it into Photoshop, that would be great too.
The Ransom Note font would not be so bad if not every letter was the same every time. Like sometimes the letter "a" would be one font, and the next few times, each time it would be a different font.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Add Box Around Note Number?
Nov 21, 2013I am creating a drawing that has some 40+ notes on it. Maybe half of these notes need to have a square, squircle, or some shape around them so I can later use that same shape enclosed number to point to a feature on the drawing that it is referencing. In the past when I had fewer notes I would just use the user symbols and losely place the squircle number in line with the other text and then use that same squircle number to point to the desired feature. The problem it is hard to align everything properly and if I move the text I then need to move the squircles.
In Pro/E I remember being able to type "@[1@]" and it would create a box around 1 in the text. Is there anything similar in Inventor?

Jul 15, 2013In the drawing, i annotate a thread. the automatic text for thread depth is always, as far as i see, incorrect, for example if the thread depth is 50 it writes, i don't remeber, but something like 250.
Maybe it has to do with the font, altough i doubt. i am in israel, and the quantity of threads, also an automatic text, is written backwards, for example 4x instead of x4.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Hole Note Not Updating In Drawings
Sep 27, 2012I create a hole feature in part and use Hole and Thread function in drawing view. All info displayed correctly, but if the model changes - note does not! the only way to get the new thread/hole designation is by using the Hole and Thread function again.
see print screen attached - I kept changing the model and using Hole and Thread tool couple of times. They all point to the same hole but look at the results..
Reboot does not work...

Jul 22, 2013I was wondering if it is possible to use an expression in a general note label? The type of label I am using is a general note label that displays our finish grade profile elevation in plan view. What I am trying to do is add a value to that label for the TC elevation and G at the ROW. I noticed in the settings tab of the tool space, surfaces has an expression button that has what I want but I am not seeing that under General/Label Styels/Note. Is it possible to right my own expression? We are using Civil 3D 2008 with Windows XP.

Jun 7, 2012Any way, using iLogic, to get the K-Factor from a flat pattern sheet metal view on an idw drawing and add it as a note.
I'd like a rule that would access the flat pattern on the drawing, get the K-Factor value and then create a note that says, for example, "K-Factor Value = 44".
I see in the iLogic Snippets there's a Get Active KFactor under the Sheet Metal section, but I don't know where to start.
