According to Draw arcs: "Slope Specifies the direction of the arc’s slope. Enter a negative value for a concave (inward) slope. Enter a positive value for a convex (outward) slope. A slope of 0 creates a straight line".What is the unit of the value of the arc's slope in adobe illustrator ?is it in mm or degree or what ? and how i can get the length of the created arc ?

so in the old illustrator i was able to export to a dxf with lines and arcs and autocad options and now there is no longer a prompt for such thing and after exporting it turns a circle into little straight lines instead of arcs....

I need to knock out the extra fill along the outside of the small arc at the bottom which is the point where the large connects. I'm also unfortunately still using CS2 ans using XP. I've tried many combinations using the pathfinder tools as well as setting them up as compound paths and masks.

i need a shoulder subassembly that varies slope in relation to the lane superelevation slope. i know that i can get a subassembly for the shoulder that will follow the alignment superelevation xml data but in my case i can't use it because we are just adding a shoulder to an existing road. we're not changing the superelevation of the existing road, just milling and overlaying and widening. right now i've created a profile of the outside edge of the shoulder that gives me the correct shoulder slope but whenever i change my centerline profile i have to redo the shoulder profiles which is a real time suck.

So my question is, how do I change a daylight slope at a specified depth? For example, from the shoulder of the road I want a 3:1 fill slope to a depth of 10 feet than change to a 2:1 slope until it catches the existing surface. Can this be built into a subassembly such that if the fill is less than 10 feet it will daylight correctly at a 3:1 and if the depth is greater than 10 feet then it carries the 3:1 for 10 vertical feet and then changes to the 2:1 until it daylights?

I duplicated one of my previously created CS6 Adobe Illustrator files (28 MB) with photos that have clipping masks. Why is my new AI file now 148 MB in size, when all of my newly linked jpeg graphics total only 9 MB? If I save it as a regular pdf it's 148MB, but if I save this same file with the smallest size pdf format, it reduces it down to only 242 KB. No files are embedded either in my newly created AI file. My business associate working on other Illustrator files experiences this same phenomenon sporadically at times too. It has us both baffled.

All curved lines (arcs) that occur in a recently-opened file look like two straight lines with an angle at the mid-point, so that from a distance they still resemble an arc but not at all when zoomed in. When clicking on the control points, it goes to looking like a proper arc, but the change doesn't hold after the file is saved and reopened. Is there a program-wide setting to change, or do the properties of each arc need to be changed individually?

When I open a 960px width canvas, it looks like 480px width, if I want it looks like a "normal" size, I have to change it to 1920px width. when I begin coding, EVERY dimension need to divided by 2 - It's simple but not cool.
Photoshop has pixels, inches, cm, mm, points, picas, columns, if I can put a new unit "double pixel" into photoshop.
