While saving as .svg, there are options to "Show SVG Code..." and "Web Preview". Neither of these are working for me. Do I have to associate a web browser somehow?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have two PSD files that won't render correctly in Illustrator. If I open the PSD files in Photoshop, everything looks OK, and if I print it, the file looks good. But when I place it in Illustrator, part of the picture is missing, and if I print it, it doesn't show up on the page. These are the only two files I've had trouble with and they both originated from the same company. Is there something wrong with the photo, perhaps?
View 4 Replies View RelatedApparently since the OS 10.7.4 upgrade, Safari will not save a pdf from a google search page. Error message is "cannot export (file name)". Any Mac users know what is going on here? Firefox works fine. I've ;ooked in Safari and Finder prefs but can't find anything that would relate to this. Trying to download some Camera RAW tutorials. Bookmarked them in Safari, and later d/l in Firefox which sends them to Finder> Downloads by default.

I'm using PS CS5 extended 64 bit, on Windows 7.
In application data (docs/settings) there are Adobe file browser caches, I know you can delete these without any problems, but what are the files? and do they have any use's (can you use them for anything) and why arn't all the photos that go through PS in there, only some of them.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSome client asked to me to realize a web application that should be able to
- acquire dwg/dxf file via http upload
- display the content of a dwg file in a web browser
- detect and move / change some item (walls, windows, etc.)
I didn't find any javascript library, and the only thing that comes to my mind is to convert dwg/dxf into svg.
I have web pages which worked fine with their colors until perhaps 1-2 year ago [URL]. Then happened a change which is demonstrated as a change in the darkness of the gray image elements in the pages, mostly in Safari which, to my knowledge, can read color profiles. The pages have a basic gray background, originally #9a9a9a, and they contain image elements, such as the title of the image series, and other components, which I liked to be embedded in the coded color. So, initially, in the gray background, the gray background color of the image elements was the same as the coded color: only the text of the image elements popped out in pages. The problem is, as you already have figured out, that the background gray of the image elements is not anymore the same as the browser-coded gray. I've read, for example, this thread [URL]. What I've done is the following: I converted the original file with the AdobeRGB color space to sRGB in PS6. In this conversion, the background gray of an image element (#9a9a9a) changed to another (#9b9b9b). Then I saved this file as a CompuserveGIF which kept the color the same (#9b9b9b), as measured by the Eyedropper tool in PS6. I duplicated the file, put it in the site and looked the result: again Safari shows a clear color difference between the image element (with #9b9b9b) and the coded color (with #9b9b9b). In Firefox, no problem. So, I do not understand why the background color in the image element (#9b9b9b in the gif file, as measured by Eyedropper) shows a well recognizable difference in Safari with the the exactly the same color. Basically, I just liked to know how I need to convert an AdobeRGB file so that a browser's (Safari) gray is the same as the color the image element.

I use Photoshop X3 to create buttons for a webpage. The buttons are saved as PNGs.This works fine for Firefox, Chrome, IE9. But in IE8 and Safari, the buttons are not displayed, instead IE8 displays a red X.
I tried to open the PNGs in PHP, but I get the error: gd-png: fatal libpng error: Too many IDAT's found in ...image.php...It seems that the PNG exported by Photopaint are not standard-conform! I installed the 2 service packs for X3.
I opened the drawing and then from the drawing opened the model. In the drawing it is showing the 4th instance of ROUND CRS-032175 X 33 as an assembly. It also is not showing in the view and yet the visibility is checked. AI2012 SP2

When I press F1 Inventor opens the help on my default browser (Chrome), but when I click the bynocular it uses Internet Explorer.
Is it possible to force Inventor to use a browser of my choice or the default browser?
I am working for a client on a site where they wish to include links to .dwg files for their designers to download. The links I'm creating are simple (using square brackets instead of standard HTML brackets to illustrate):
[a href="/t5/forums/postpage/board-id/filename.dwg"]click here to download a 2D CAD drawing[/a]
The files are simple, 2D CAD drawings saved from AutoCAD 2010 or 2012.
The behavior I expect is the same behavior I might see if I was linking to an executable file or, for example, a .psd file: a dialog box is launched by the browser, prompting the user to save the file or possibly open in an associated piece of software.
The behavior that actually happens (but only in Safari) is that the browser attempts to render the file as a plain-text file, and the gory contents of the file are displayed as a tab in the browser.
I have done some looking around, and I've seen plenty examples of dwg's linked to on websites, and these download just fine, as expected. However, most of these examples that I find are saved in older formats, say 2004 and earlier. So, I tried to save our files as earlier formats, but I still experience the same issue.
Is there some setting I can set or some meta tag in the files I can change so that Safari doesn't think it's a plain-text MIME type? We can just zip the files, but that seems like an unnecessary step that we shouldn't have to do if AutoCAD was saving these files correctly.
An IPN file is showing multiple assembly files in it's browser even though I have confirmed there is only one of the assemblies in the IAM file.
I'm not sure if it's causing any real difficulty in the IDW views but it's not giving me any confidence.
When is the poor, undercared-for part of the software going to get an overhaul?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to embed a video into my project and although the initial setup was simple, getting it to play in all browsers is proving to be very difficult. I've read more articles and forum threads than I care to recall, but just can't seem to find the right combination. Safari wil play audio only and IE10 gives me "Error: Unsupported video type or invalid file path".
I've contacted my host provider to ensure that the server is compatible with all video formatts and I've had other people from different locations try to play the video with slightly varied results, but ultimately the video doesn't play for them either. Here is the code I'm using:
I started with this code that I picked up from an online tutorial:
var vid = sym.$("Holder");
vid.html('<video width= "838" height="609" src = "video/tester.mp4" poster = "video/DFC5.jpg" type = "video/mp4" controls ="controls" </video>');
I eventually moved to this in order to attempt to accommodate multiple video formats/browsers:
var vid = sym.$("Holder");
vid.html("<video width='838' height='609' preload='auto' poster = 'video/DFC5.jpg' controls ='controls'>" +
"<source src='video/tester.mkv' type='video/mkv' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.mov' type='video/mov' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.mpg' type='video/mpg' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.webm' type='video/webm' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.mp4' type='video/mp4' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.avi' type='video/avi' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.wmv' type='video/wmv' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.ogv' type='video/ogg' />" +
"</video>");
I opened a .JT files without issues, it shows the model as it suppose to do and also without errors. When I try render it, it disappears. The same happens when exporting to STEP.
And it is also not possible to make a section view. I have the feeling that is has to do with the fact that JT files are use for visualization. Something with nodes? Is there a way to convert the JT file that it acts as a normal Inventor file?
I render 36 frames from different angles to PNG files on 3Ds Max 2013 but now I want to hide a model and make it so all the parts its blocking to also become transparent.
If you don't understand what I mean I don't want to simply "hide" the instance because then all the parts in the back that otherwise would be invisible would become visible, I just want those parts to become transparent as if I "subtract" the image of the hidden instance out of the final render image.
Like the 3d model is invisible but erases anything behind it.
As 3dsmax is used in so many different areas, I try to get an overview of the use of multi-channel OpenEXR files. EXR files are usually used as an intermediate file format to hand over cg footage to compositing for further processing. Different compositing packages are handling EXR's more or less comfortable. My guess would be and that is not meant as a judgment if you comp in afx, it is less likely that you use EXR files, but when you comp with nuke, I am pretty sure you do. With composite and fusion somewhere inbetween. Also, when you work in ArchViz and MoGraph you propeably prefer psd files, while when you do tv commercials and film works, you are more likly to use EXR.
The questions in the poll are meant in a general way. It doesn't mean when you vote 'Yes' that you exlusivly render to EXR.
what software I can use for render my .dwg files. Render in AutoCAD is not quite as good as I want. I want a better software with more powerful tools and easy to use.
View 5 Replies View RelatedLet me explain my situation: I have a website where I publish my Illustrator documents as exported JPEG files. The website has a certain RGB-color background. And my illustrations have the same RGB-color background. Those two backgrounds have to match perfectly, in order to produce a nice effect. They do match in Firefox 14, but they don't match in Safari 6.
So, I need my exported JPEG files to have browser-independant colors. I read everything I found on the Internet on this topic, but it's just general stuff about Color profiles and the Edit > Colors... menu and color differences between browsers. NOT A SINGLE TUTORIAL on the whole Internet on how to produce browser-independant JPEG files using Adobe software.
Currently, I am exporting my Illustrator documents using an AppleScript, in order to save time:
Export docRef to file (myPath) as JPEG with options {quality:60, optimization:true, antialiasing:true, artboard clipping:true, saving as HTML:false}
But you don't have to give me an AppleScript necessarily. Just give step-by-step instructions on how to do this in Illustrator, and I will automate it myself. I know that PNGs are browser-independant, but I would prefer JPEGs, because the size is smaller.
I've just reinstalled Illustrator 10 on my XP PC.Now when I try to get online help I see this message "No default web browser application is selected on your machine"...Of course I DO have a default browser.
I Googled this error and found references like. URL....Any clues; and has Adobe just deleted all their old techdocs?
I've never used this feature in the reflect/refract maps before but I'm following a few different tutorials and for whatever reason the last step where I "pick object and render maps" doesn't show a prompt, render anything, or do anything but select the object that I wanted to render the cubic map from.
Just thought I'd ask before I start installing old versions of max to try it out there.
