when exporting a PDF with hyperlinked slices from Illustrator, i choose the Rich Content PDF option. but when i open the PDF with Acrobat or Preview (i'm on a Mac), the hyperlinks are gone.
The loading of the preset "Rich Content PDF" failed.I Choose Edit > Adobe PDF Presets. I Click Import, and I select the "Rich Content PDF.joboptions" file.
But I have an error message (Impossible to copy the PDF preset).
I am having a bumper sticker printed in mass quantities. The sticker is black with with large white text. My problem started when I exported my ai file to a PDF and the black came out gray. I then exported as a jpeg and found the same grey result. After searching online I found that pure black is not 100K, and it seems to be a mixture of all the CMYK colors. Well I adjusted the colors to make a rich black blend and when I saved it as a jpeg the black displayed as intended. However when i exported the same ai file as a PDF the black still looks grey. Will the pdf print pure black even though it doesnt display that way on screen?
Art brushes are showing a grey version of what should be a Rich Black RGB 0, 0, 0,. Furthermore, expanding the art brush stroke and sampling the color shows the strokes "Black" is actually: 32,32,32, pre-expansion the RGB sample shows the stroke is 0,0,0.
Color Mode=RGB Print Proof=NO Document =RGB Display all Blacks, print all Blacks=Rich Black
Options for Art Brush show art brush swatch is Rich Black but using eyedropper (within brush options window) and sampling preview stroke CHANGES swatch preview from Rich Black to Grey.
I've had this problem before, and it randomly popped up again today.
This time restarting Ai fixed the issue the first time. I just don't know if this was human-error/setting on my end, or a minor bug to report.
So I create a CMYK Ai doc. Create some black text and/or shapes. Then decide to change color to rich black by manually entering CMYK values (in this case, 60, 40, 40, 90), select ok. However, the colors revert back to original percentages (75, 68, 67, 90).
In past versions, it's happened once or twice, and restarting Ai didn't solve the first time.
In InDesign you are able to create links from one page of a document to another. They are called hyperlinks on that program. However, it seems that all the forums talking about using hyperlinks in Illustrator are speaking of using URLs to an online site. I was wondering if there was a way to create a link from one art board to the another with a clickable function.
I have create an excel file with a description and a hyperlink. With this way the user is able to open all the file that was able to open in only one excel. So far everything is OK.My problem is this. Have added 3 new lines for 3 different adobe illustrator files. When the user makes a click in the hyperlink open the adobe illustrator but is empty. They don't opening the file that has added in the hyperlink. (It happens only in the .ai files all the other files .pdf - .doc - .jpg opening without any problem)
I use windows XP with SP3 and adobe illustrator CS4
A client has asked a question that seems strange to me regarding rich blacks in images. They want to be able to change blacks in an image that might be 80 80 80 100 to 30 30 30 100. My thought would be that they would just change the ink limit to what the printer has recommended. They could also reduce the black value in curves, but to get their limits would look strange. Before I go back and state my opinion, I would love to hear from some printers to see if they have any other opinions. They are not trying to mix colours to put them into InDesign.
My problem is that I am converting RGB native images to CMYK and my Key (Black) comes out rich, contains equal levels of CMY and K, instead of true black, only k.
Currently my way around this is to do the standard convert to profile CMYK and with my path selected to the section I would like to be true black simply turn off all CM and Y channels and re-save the image but this is a little labor intensive.
Is there a way that I can go straight from RGB to CMYK and achieve true black without alteration?
Wondering what techniques, or actions anyone uses to achieve the rich and saturated colors that I see in many images.
When I've messed around with saturation in my images I often wind up jacking up the skin tones, among other things. I know that on one or two images I can isolate the areas that I want to saturate but on many images this is not practical. I shoot with a 20D and a variety of Canon and Sigma lens, primarily a Canon 50 1.8, 85 1.8 and Sigma 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8.
I am trying to use a file of data that have 1.8 million of points, and is rally difficult with Autocad Civil 3D, the fiel open with the Autocad, but when I try to erase some of that points, the software is freeze.
for example:
the picture attached contains a lot of points with one blue line, the points on the blue line are the points that I am interesting, and the other points are the points that I want to erase.
I am trying to edit a menu for my restaurant that a former employee made with illustrator. I downloaded the free trial, and can open my menu, but can't figure out how to edit the content. I just need to edit words, no graphics or anything.
I'm doing an evacuation plan of an office building. The drawing itself is in the model space, obviously. The fire extinguishers and escape routes are added in layout.
The problem is that everything that I add in the layout ends up beneath the drawing in model space. I.e. the walls of the building are shown in front of the fire extinguishers which makes my evac.plan look like poop.AutoCad Architecture 2013.
Since installing Buildinfg Design Suite Standard 13 my content explorer is showing a yelow error sign saying indexing error over content drawing icons. How do i fix this?
I just got a issue when I use 'save as web' to save png or gif. when i chose the 'clip to artboard' the size for content will be changed. maybe smaller 1 px for both weight and high or only high. most ot the result will be cut off the buttom. I use 100 px circle with 2px stroke to test this (align the stroke with outside). I set the artboard fit to bounds of the art. so the artboard size should be 104 x 104 px. but when try to 'save as web'. the result will be changed.
I have a strange problem when I open PDF files in Illustrator. All of the content will be shifted on the artboard, sometimes it is just a few inches. Other times in can be up to 70 inchs from the artboard requiring us to zoom out to 3% to find the content. The PDF files are being produced from Indesign.
I have a business card file created in AI CS6. The file has two identically-sized art boards with crop marks. All the fonts are outlined, there are no linked graphics. I've opened the file in AI CC, made some minor changes, and tried to save as a PDF. When I open the PDF in either Acrobat Reader or Pro XI, there is no content, only the crop marks.
Interestingly, the desktop icon preview, and the open dialog box preview both show the content, and when I open the PDF in AI CC, the content is there. But when I open the file in either version of Acrobat, the content is gone. Just the crop marks show.
I have created a nice banner in Photoshop and I would like to add hyperlinks within the banner can I do it in Photoshop or there a special software for that?
I use the command 'hyperlink' I select the object and the program crashes and is 'not responding'
Now the tricky is that this happens both in Autocad Map 2010 and 2013. And happens also in files I already have hyperlinks and new ones. If I run the software as an administrator in my pc, the command works excellent.
I insert hyperlinks in the files for many years and till now everything worked fine.
I have created a webpage template for my website. It is in a big .JPG format.
There are text topics also in the .JPG format.
For example, text such as "Home", "Gallery", "Help" listed at the very top of the page. But everything is in one .JPG file (not separated individual)
How can I create the links to connect to the text on my page? I mean it is doable if the each text is created individually, then I can simply use <A href=...> html tag to make the image clickable.
Now everything is in one piece. How can I do this? Do I need to install software to achieve this?
Has it ever been discussed if it is possible to make the Revit callouts (sections, details, etc.) hyperlinks to those views when printed to PDF? I have added hyperlinks to PDF sets using Bluebeam and Acrobat, but it would be great if that was standard output from Revit.
Am using InDesign 6. Trying to create interactive pictorial Table of Contents and cannot and have set up text hyperlinks to the items in the TOC and text anchor/destination hyperlinks to the location within the document. I set up all the hyperlinks - but then needed to make edits to several items.
Now none of the edited hyperlinks work when the document is pdf'ed (as interactive .pdf). I have tried cutting and pasting text boxes, re-typing text boxes and even copything all the text boxes from a different document into my current document. When I click on new text box to create the link - the "New Hyperlink" option is greyed out.
