I'm attempting to create an image map with multiple hyperlinks (hotspots) that I'll upload to a Wordpress.org site. However, when I go to Save for Web, my image map gets spliced into 22 separate images that are little pieces of the image. How can I get it to export as a single image so I can upload to a page on my site? I can't find a specific setting to make this adjustment.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm a new user of GIMP. I have scanned a line plan that I need to modify in a series of multiple scans (plan is too large to scan in one image) and I need to recombine the multiple files back into one seamless image.
How does one accomplish this?
Is there an easy way to apply multiple effects on a set of images or individual images, similiar to something like a preset in LightRoom.
For example, if I run the following effects I have to apply it to each image one effect at a time and repeat for each image that I want the exact same effects applied but would prefer to do it all in one go
Blur/(GPU) Gaussian Blur
Noise/Reduce Noise
Photo/Sharpen+
I use these to clean up the moire from scans and reduce dust/dirt then apply a mild sharpen effect to bring back the now softenend image back up slightly. Being able to have presets would be a real bonus for quick clean ups, of digital camera images or camera phone images
I found it by spending a bit more time looking through the menus, under the Effect menu and the Advanced tab and creating a custom effects script ......
But now would like to see if I can have a list of presets instead of having to load them through the script engine one at a time, maybe an option under the 'Effects/Presets' menu option listing all the scripts that are currently saved.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI manage a design department where we're constantly working with documents that have multiple placed and embedded images in each. As an example, we often have 10 instances each of 4 different images in a given document. These links are constantly changing and being updated on a per-client basis. My concern is that my designers waste a lot of time relinking these embedded graphics as the software prompts the user to relink each one individually. If the designer needs to replace 10 of the linked graphics with, say, "Royal Mahogany", they have to select all 10, select the relink option and specify the file they want to replace the graphic with by clicking on and placing the selected file for each instance of the graphic. So if they're replacing the links of 10 images, they have to select and place the desired file 10 times. Is there any way to select multiple placed images and replace them all at once? Note that the images we place into the file are stored in multiple locations on server, subdivided by material, manufacturer, color, finish etc.
My team is using CS3 mac version currently but we'll be upgrading to CS5 soon. This is a huge time-waster for my company.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been looking for a solution to automate a printing and ordering process. I have a design template with 2 pages both 8.5x11 in size. One page represents the front and other the back for double sided printing. I have 6 different images per sheet so in my links panel I have 12 total links, 2 of each. I was wondering if there is a script to update all the links with the same filename with other image? Currently I have to search through all the images and update each one.
I have 6 artboards dividing the 8.5x11 sheet proportionatly. Each artboard represents a different order. Is there a script to write the linked filename to the bottom corner of each artboard?
I have a number of microscope images of the same subject that were taken under three different conditions. I'd like to use clipping masks to crop the images in the same way (the same size but also the same positions relative to the corners/sides of the images. View 9 Replies View RelatedIllustrator's Image Trace doesn't seem to work at all with large images. The attached image shows the following:
A) The original raster cropped tightly.
B) Converting the raster with default "Black and White Logo" settings. Results in 242 paths and 4792 anchors.
C) Adding a massive amount of white space and then converting the raster with default "Black and White Logo" settings. Results in 407 paths and 1620 anchors.
For whatever reason Illustrator can't seem to handle large images. This test shows it's not an issue with the image being too complex since all I've done is add white space and the file was saved without compression so there should be no noise.
This type of glitch started with CS6 with the new Image Trace tool. Maybe setting Image Trace into legacy mode?
I've been using illustrator to vectorize some of my png files I've modified and rasterized in photoshop. The image trace feature has worked fine for me until yesterday when it started making my images very impreciese and blurry. I'll attach a before and after shot of exactly what I'm talking about.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems selecting images in the library module when multiple images are in view (not down in the timeline, but in the main window). It seems sporadic with which ones it won't let me select, it somehow manages to be the ones that I need to click....!! I just literally can't click it as if it were an image I already imported or something, but it's not grayed out like that. I've been having to select a nearby image then use my arrow keys to navigate to and click the image I need.

For instance if I select 10 images to view in the survey mode to compare and select 1 to be flagged as rejected all 10 will be flagged rejected, not just the one. Is there a way to turn this off to select a group of images and flag each differently?

View 4 Replies View RelatedHi, I am starting a new business making art prints for artists. I have purchased this huge printer ... just got it. I've been studying photoshop for months using "classroom in a book" and am finding out that I've probably studied the wrong thing.
I have three questions and thanks in advance for any of your expertise.
1. I successfully printed out a two foot by two foot photo I took of my husband with my 8.2 megapixel camera. Then, tried to print out another photo.... used the same photoshop settings, but the print was 6 inches by 6 inches...... I did notice that the second print was only 16. %... I wondered if that caused the difference in size? How do I set that to 100 % if that is what is needed?
2. I want to print out multiple small prints using this big paper and printer... I want to tile these various prints (all different) along the top making rows... I want them to be all different. I called Epson support and they said I could do that in photoshop. Do I use the browser?
3. I have a wide format scanner. It does up to 11 x 17 inches. If I have something larger to scan, let's say, I scan the bottom of the image and then scan the top of the image, how do I put them together?
Is the image trace feature any better at tracing scanned business cars and newsprint ads in order to extract a logo? Clients never seem to have clean copy to supply me with.

Looping current artboard and exporting them to JPG or something. Or maybe there is someway to force the "save multiple artboards:true" in JPG?

I'm going to connect my AI file to After effect. So I had to create lots of layers in order to edit them seperatly in After effects. But it seems like my amount of layers are too large because AE always crashes (not responding -> Force quit)
So I wanna break some stuff down in multiple AI files, but I don't wanna go and select every layer and delete it. That would take too much time. Is there a way to select the multiple objects in Illustrator and delete that but also its layer its in?
