Is there a way to achieve uneven distrubution of blended lines in Illustrator CS5? There was one other post on the web asking a similar question to this, which was solved by changing the blend spline.
This works great for objects, but not so much for lines.
Here is an example of what I am looking for where the top is what I would like to achieve and the bottom is the typical blend.
I want to create charts, and in Corel Draw I could draw a line and then hit duplicate and it would produce evenly spaced identical ines. Is there some function on Illustrator that does this?

I created a path with Curves with the pen tool.filled it in with a color light blue.than I use the paint bucket to change it to dark blue.This is when the curved lines become jagged, not smooth, uneven.
I am using AutoCad C3D. I have drawn a building and now I am trying to position the building on a plot with uneven property lines using only “tie distances” from the spots on the property to specific spots of the building.
I do not know which C3D program functions (with just distances known) to get the building placed properly on the plot.
Is it possible to make spot color separations from blended shapes.

Choose AI menu "Object | Blend | Make", before this step you could set "Specified steps" to an integer in "Blend Options...", now you get a series of blended arts. Using Direct Select Tool you can select the rectangle or circle you drawed at first.
how to know if the art object you selected is one part of the blended series? I looked into the document but cannot find a proper API to get the infomation in AIArtSuite.

I have a path that is stroked 2 pt black. The full path is there but the stroke is random along the path. I do not have a dashed line selected.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have created a color gradient and the color fill has an uneven edge, which creates a small white space between the edges of the fill and the bounding box. I have tried using shift+click to try and even the edges, but I guess that only works for using stroke tool or whatever. You have to look closely because this image is not very large. There is a slight uneveness on both the top (near the right side) and bottom (slightly left of center).

I want to show only parts of this image at a time, so that the viewer sees it in increments. However, I want to make the edges look more organic, like brush strokes, so that it looks almost as though the painting is being completed and the viewer gets to see the process.
p.s. I'm in CS2, unfortunately, so the bristle brush isn't an options
I have an area in a photo with a color distribution. I would like to copy this color distribution and Fill another area with the same distribution. Is this possible ? How ?

If I pattern a feature in two direction, say 1 copy in both directions, I get 4 features. Is there a way to "turn off" one or more of them. If I patterned a whole field of features, can I turn off some of them? Again, there was a way to do this easily in Pro-E, but I have not found it in Inventor.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have a 3rd party developing some marketing drawings for us and they are using a font that does not come with AutoCAD OOTB. When we couldn't see the text because of this "unknown" font, they sent us zip file with all the "Gotham-*.otf" files to load on our computers. My concern is probably obvious, that any customer of ours who downloads these drawings from our website will have the same problem with missing fonts. I suppose they could use the substitute font but then we would have no control over what they see.

If you were to distribute the load from CoG there will be vertical forces as well as moments on each pad that will support this assembly. i have a picture of a car and want to give it that "air brushed" look, and have it blend into the background.
as for the airbrushing.. the current natural reflections on my car picture arent quite as "striking" as those on the attached SUV. in creating more striking reflections on my car?
The two links below use backgrounds ( that im sure are created with PS) that kind of have marks and scratches accross them. Im pretty sure its parchment paper os something like that. The 247media one ( when you click on one of the pull down pages) almost looks like an old scratched plastic chopping board.
My question is whats the most effective strategy for altering source images to create an effect like this. The images in the web pages have been manipulated so it lokks as if they're not there but thier marks and scratches show through. Ive been playing alot in adjustments and blending modes but rather blindly.
just want to scale an image. I do File/Tools/Transform Tools/Scale. Then I adjust the numbers to my desire. If I reduce the size, there is blending that takes place amongst pixel colors.
Looks good except that the edges of the image are also being blended. Blended with what? The edge? I don't get it.
How do I scale an image, but leave the edges alone?
I used to make a really neat strip of merged images using PSE 4 and its photomerge feature. How can I make a merged group of photos blended and being aligned side by side horizontally like PSE 4 used to do? Using PSE 10?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a word that has an orange outline. Then it has a transitional blend going from yellow to the same orange as the outline.
I have worked out that I can use the eye dropper tool then use the right mouse button with the fill bucket, this will give me the color that the eye dropper picked.
But how do I then use the eye dropper tool to do a fountain fill. The yellow I need to copy is not a standard color that is found on my colors to my right. So I need to some how use the eye dropper tool to set the first and second transition colors.
I need to transform a lot of dashed (single) lines into separate lines... Who can tell me how to do this in a few clicks. I don't need an outline of the dashed line. So the black dashes I need, the white in between the dashes I want to loose.

I have a very simple PSD, so i'll try to explain this super simply..
one transparent layer, with just a pair or eyebrows, with the only added blend effect as 'multiply'
one background with a face, no eyebrows.
the layer blends the eyebrows in to the background face perfectly.
i want to save the layer as a separate file keeping the tranparency and including the result of the multiply effect, without the background.
the reason why i want to do this may confuse things, but basically i want several different eyebrow colours to be interchangeable over this face in an application that doesn't recognise the blending link with the background, so i want to save it in PS !
If I'm creating a batch "text" for a number of files the strangest thing happens. I have to change 10 files all with the same or very close to the same pixel size. In this case 1024Lx . I want to insert a "copyright" text across the image. I create the action, that includes: text, text size of18pts and opacity. and then batch.
The resulting font sizes are very uneven. They are all show up in the individual files as 18 pt but some are invisiblley small some are gigantically large and some are just right. And my name's not Goldilocks. I've tried this on PS3 and PS6 with the same results.
I want to crop the shrubbery out of the top of the attached photo. Also, I want the area that I crop to be transparent so I can paste the empty tomb photo on top of another photo.

If I select say, a 2px border, three sides of my image will have a 2px border while one side will have what appears to be a 4px border. Is this a known LR problem, or is it printer driver related ? Using LR 2.2 and printing on an Epson 3800, latest driver.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI got Photoshop CS6 Extended recently, but the lines I draw in it aren't smooth, like they should be (example below). The tablet produces perfect lines in any other bit of software (Flash, ToonBoom, etc.), but not Photoshop.
I've tried lots of different solutions (uninstalling and reinstalling it, reverting back to an earlier driver, clearing preferences, etc.), to no avail. Oddly, my Intuos3 works fine in Photoshop, for a few minutes, before it crashes. If I try to adjust the Wacom Tablet Properties for CS6, it doesn't recognize any changes, but if I adjust the settings for Photoshop CS4, it does. All Wacom Drivers are up-to-date.
What do you think you be the right way to make a surface rough and uneven, as in the picture below? Or should it be done at some later stage?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI hurriedly photographed the text in a greeting card and have uneven lighting and underexposure that I'd like to correct. Please see attachment, in which I've increased the brightness and contrast and then desaturated.
I've looked at tutorials on gradient contrast masks but I get lost part way through. Either I'm too much of a newbie to understand (highly probable) or maybe the tutorials are for older versions of GIMP. (I'm on 2.8.6 for Windows.)
