Photoshop :: JPG Image Viewed On Web Is Bleached Compared To Viewed
Jul 17, 2006I have saved a psd file as jpg using File -> Save as.
Also tried: File -> Save for web.
When I look at the newly saved jpg file in photoshop the colors are great.
When I look at the same jpg file in Firefox or Internet explorer the file look bleached (a lot lighter in color).
How do I save the image for view on web, and then make sure the colors match more closely to the original file?
To manually correct for the missing colors would be a lot of work, and I hope there is an automated way of doing this?
Using Photoshop 5.5.
Both images viewed on same computer in same light.

Illustrator :: PDF Files Not Viewed In 100%?
Feb 21, 2013I'm trying to make a PDF file of a webpage in Illustrator that the client could view in 100% size.
When I open the PDF in Acrobat it displayed to large and therefor everything looks jagged.
Where is a setting like "document resolution", or similar, that make the size "100%" in illustrator the same in Acrobat?
Illustrator :: Pattern Swatches Shifting When Exported To PDF And Viewed In Preview / GoodReader
Dec 10, 2013I'm working on a Mac with CS6.
I work for a small publisher that produces knitting books. The problem is this: our tech editor has created charts in Illustrator using the pattern swatches feature. (These are knitting charts. Each square contains a pattern swatch representing the knitted stitch.)
I am then placing these charts in their native .ai format into an Indesign file and exporting them to PDF. In Acrobat, the charts look fabulous. In the Mac Preview reader and in GoodReader, the charts do this...
... the pattern swatches shift around inside their squares. Each of those dots should be centered inside their squares. In Preview, when I resize the application frame, the pattern swatches move as I re-size the frame.
I've tried saving the charts as PDFs and placing those into the InDesign file. Exporting the charts as images (jpg or tif) works, but I have to make the resolution/file size ridiculously large to get the quality of the vector image. I'd rather place the .ai files into the .indd file if possible.
Photoshop :: Cyan Color In CS6 Appears As Black
Feb 24, 2013I've recently picked up Photoshop CS6 and i'm having a weird problem regarding the color cyan.
Whenever i use this color it appears as black.
How do i get this fixed??? im clueless
EDIT: When i drag the window im working in around the colors appears as normal but as soon as i let the window go, the cyan turns black again.

Jul 28, 2011I've been trying to print an image I made with GIMP in cyan colour, but the printer prints it in green. I even tried to print at Staples, but it still comes out in either green or regular blue. How to fix this discrepancy? Shouldn't you be able to print the image exactly as it is shown in GIMP or is there an issue involving JPEG files?

Feb 21, 2013I have an Imac with Mountain Lion, CS5 and have just replaced my Epson R2400 with an R3000. Now the white background round the image is covered in small cyan and light grey dots. If the image fills the paper, then the margin is affected. But when trying to proof colours I am going through loads of paper as I cannot now print a smaller image on a larger piece of paper, then re-feed the same sheet through with another small image as the paper is now pale blue.
The R2400 was fine for proofing, as the image alone would print and then the printer fed through the remainder of the sheet without printing, leaving the rest of the paper white. I understood from that , that it was most likely a Photoshop issue and some sort of conflict with the Paper profiles. But, I have checked the profiles on my Mac and they are all version 2 profiles. I note that the few profiles that do work without the blue colour do have 'bkpt' in their profiling and that the ones for the paper I actually do use and in fact the majority of the profiles, do not contain 'bkpt'.

Jun 17, 2013So, I messed up pretty badly today during an interview shoot. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I felt rushed during setup and screwed up a few things -- including forgetting to turn on my shotgun mic, so I had to sync my external lav recording the hard(est) way.
The worst part, however, is that because I was in a basement I could not elevate my key light as much as I wanted, and it created a glare on the glasses of my subject. I had lined up the light and my seating while asking questions so it didn't reflect toward the camera, but it appears he shifted early in the interview and I didn't notice. Now, there are two white dots in his eyes the entire time. As if this wasn't bad enough, he frequently makes minor head movement that causes his entire lense to be blown out. It is incredibly distracting, and definitely not as engaging.
Re-shooting is not an option. Throwing out the interview is also not an option. Everything else about the shoot was great: the background, audio, lighting (besides the glare issue), responses, framing, etc.
How I can stylize or hide the glare. I understand that I won't be able to get rid of it, but was hoping at least a way to make it "work." I am not an expert with AE. In fact, I really just do color correction/grading and some minor text stuff, and that's it. I sometimes do motion tracking, but have no intention of tracking his eyes for an hour long interview. It would never work anyway, since he's an animated talker.
Using CS6. Shot it flat, indoors, brick wall background. Only issue is I can't darken the blacks too much as there is an iron wood stove to his side that is essential to the interview. If I shift the blacks too far it loses a lot of it's detail and just becomes a blob of nothing.
CorelDRAW X6 :: Files Cannot Be Viewed With X4
Nov 23, 2012I've recently purchased a monthly subscription to Corel Draw X6, but my clients use Corel 12 and told me they couldn't view the file (when opening it, it seems to be empty). I tried several times and still had the same problem. We came to the conclusion it might be a question of incompatibility.
Is there any problem of compatibility between CorelDraw X6 and Corel 12? Where could I download Corel 12 in order to avoid future problems..
Photoshop :: TIFF Blurred When Viewed In CS5?
Nov 12, 2012Yesterday I discovered that when I load tiffs into CS5 they are slightly blurred and the colour changes, when I load them into windows paint they are crystal clear and the colour is as it should be. To double check I obrained some free tiffs online and they also show up blurred and with more colout saturation, this only seems to happen with tiffs and has stopped me dead in my tracks.
I have added an example of one of my photographs here, if you look closely you will see the photoshop image on the left loses detail and appears slighlty blurred, also the colour is more saturated. The windows paint version is crystal clear and the colour is true.
I just can't figure out why the free windows paint is opening up a clearer unaffected image whilst the premium photoshop software opens up a less clear and colour changed images...
Example..... In both images compare the small tree situated above the large post on the right, the thin branches on the "right hand" version are more detailed...

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: How Can Reportdir Be Set Or Viewed
Jun 3, 2013I am trying to set up custom reports.I found the landxml reporting program under the 'landxml reporting 8' folder Tools Options locates / sets the config file.
The config file refers to the %reportdir% setting / variable / thing.
I have multiple C3D versions installed. I am trying to set custom reports for 2012. 2014 is also installed. I found that there is a single landxml program doing the work for all versions. On my workstation, the 2014 report facility is being used in 2012.
It looks like if users need to make a custom report set they must use the landxml reporting program to refer to the custom files. Correct? Or ... have I missed something? Is there a way to view or set reportdir ?

People with PC's can only view the images if opened in a browser, otherwise PC's can't open the files. It is very annoying.

Jul 23, 2008I typically create graphics using index color that are black/white with some gray tones to highlight a part of the drawing. The graphics are published in a PDF document, are typically a very manageable file size and initially look great. The problem is the PDF documents are typically 500 pages and the file size is reduced in Adobe Acrobat Standard. After reducing the file size, all index color graphics appear bloched or very fuzzy when viewing the PDF on a monitor. The printed PDF document has some fuzziness but the image quality should be improved. Do you have any suggestions to improve the image quality of index color graphics in a reduced file size PDF document? Or any suggestions to create sharp black/white images with gray highlights in a better way or avoid making the image fuzzy?
